I will always remember the first time I saw my wife Jenn and how I felt. How she looked at me, and the way she smiles. John is so easy to work with, and he can make even the most camera-shy (or camera-averse) family members look good! We really enjoyed working with him for both of our weddings (small backyard COVID-safe legal ceremony in 2020 and bigger celebration two years later). He was incredibly accommodating both times we postponed, and we are so grateful he was up for capturing our legal ceremony. We also really liked working with his second photographer, James, at our 2022 wedding. Both worked in tandem to capture some fabulous candid moments and portraits of a day we waited so long to have. John is an amazing photographer. He took beautiful pictures for our wedding and made us all feel comfortable with his confidence in process & humor along the way. He brought along a great secondary photographer, and both of their pictures turned out amazing. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for an event photographer in VA.

John worked with my new fiancé to capture the special moment of our proposal. A destination proposal can be a difficult moment to capture professionally on camera because of the planning that goes into it ahead of time [I live in NC, my fiancé lives in WA, and we got engaged in DC], but John was the perfect photographer for the job! The communication, responsiveness, and professionalism that John displayed from my fiancé’s initial contact with him all the way through the quick delivery of his amazing photos following the proposal, was impeccable. We chose an hour long session with 10 photos and were very pleased with the quality and quantity of time we spent with John and his wife, as well as the quality of the photos that John produced. I would highly recommend John Heredia Photography to anyone looking for a phenomenal photographer who is very passionate about his work, personable with the people he works with, and is truly great at what he does! John Heredia Photography is one of the best photographers in the state. A true professional who has such an incredible eye for details. Some photographers love what they do but John Heredia truly loves photography with a passion and skill that is classically modern. Working with John at many weddings was easily the best. Without seeing his knowledge in action we would not be anywhere near where we are today. It has been a couple years since I did a wedding on the Chesapeake Bay with John Heredia Photography, but the photos on my website continue to elicit comments and compliments. John caught charming moments with the couple's young son sneaking wedding cake icing, a tearjerker with the Father walking her down the aisle, and the head table bowed in prayer with their flowers lined up in front of them. Perfect.
