Our overall experience working with John DeFiora Photography was overwhelmingly positive. Throughout the whole process, John was easy to communicate with and had an incredible energy about him that made everyone around him feel comfortable, which makes for great photos even for camera-shy people like us! John has many years of experience in the wedding industry. He offered us valuable advice and helped us understand what to expect on our wedding day. John and his second shooter Bryan Weber came very prepared for the day and were both professional, polite, and fun to be around! Both were flexible to unexpected delays to our timeline and they worked really well alongside our other vendors (especially our videography team Amari Productions) to make our big day a success! Engagement and wedding photos were absolutely beautiful - his style is consistent, creative, and you can expect to receive quality work from him. We will definitely be using him again in the future when we have kids!

John was one of two photographers for our wedding back in 2011 and we lived his work so much we asked him to do a family/maternity session for us. He took amazing photos that we will cherish forever. Our 3 year old daughter warmed right up and he was prepared to get her out of her shell. He is professional but knows how to loosen everyone up. Life goes by so quickly, photos help to pause the special moments. Invest in a quality photographer, you won’t be disappointed.

When my husband and I were getting married our original photographer found out she was pregnant and her due date was very close to our wedding date. She recommended that John take over her services for our event; now we met with our previous photographer and went through all logistics and just loved her so I was worried just switching. Well let me tell you, John is one of the greats! Him and I met on my wedding day and he was excellent. I’ve referred him to close friends and they have also worked with John! Can’t wait for him to capture more of out life moments!

John has such a gift for making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. He’s hilarious and so much fun to be around. The photos are absolutely amazing. You can not go wrong working with him for your big day or any other occasion.

John is an amazing photographer, super fun to work with AND showed up hours in advance of the time he was due to be there just because "it's the day of the wedding, I can't wait at home!". He worked so very hard to capture every moment and then some.

Not only is John an awesome human being outside of being a photographer, but his talent as a photographer is unrivaled and invaluable. He helped keep our wedding day low key and calm while ensuring that he had every detail of the day covered. Many of the special moments he captured could have easily been forgotten in the hustle and bustle of our wedding day but we now have photos that will last a lifetime to always remind us of how magical our wedding day was. John truly has a gift-- both as a photographer and a friend.

John photographed our wedding in California this August. He made it such a fun experience (and neither my family, husband, or I normally love getting our pictures taken) and captured such amazing moments. Yes he did all the standard photos, but he also did so so so much more. He caught amazing candids and moments between people, and he really captured the theme of the day - happiness. We have since received the photos (he got them back to us extremely quickly) and love them immensely. We could not have asked for a better person (made us laugh a ton and fit in great with our friends and family!), a better experience, or better photos/results. There is no one better than John! We hired John after hearing excellent reviews from a family friend. Within weeks of our engagement I called John and we instantly hit it off. He is such a friendly guy, and easy to talk to! Having our wedding at my parents house comes with its obstacles, but John was more than accommodating and had countless phone calls with my parents and I to make sure that we were making the "right decisions" and going to have excellent photos for our wedding day. He is always available to put your worries at ease, and is there to help you make your wedding perfect - he even recommended the videographer that we ended up going with (and we looked at a dozen).

When it came to our wedding day, it felt like I was greeting an old friend even though we had never met in person. I immediately felt comfortable with John and enjoyed his presence and fun-loving attitude throughout the day. He made me laugh just as much as our family and friends! He's a great guy and a fabulous photographer! He does whatever it takes, including laying on the ground in a suit to get "the perfect shot."

I'm a wedding DJ so I've dealt with many photographers throughout my career. I hired John for my wedding back on April 18, 2015 and he was incredible. It's important to note that not only are his photos amazing, his personality is amazing which really made my wife and I comfortable on our big day. He knows how to keep everyone on schedule and prevented my wife from fainting on her wedding day by making sure she had something to eat while she was getting ready. He also likes cats.
