Hi, I’m Joey, owner of Joey’s DJ Service based in Durham, NC. I travel across North Carolina providing DJ services for weddings and events.
My style is high energy and fast paced. I mix quickly, keep transitions smooth, and focus on building momentum so the dance floor stays full without repeating songs.
Every wedding is different, so I don’t rely on a preset playlist. I read the crowd in real time and adjust throughout the night to keep the right music playing at the right moment.
Beyond the music, I help keep your day running smoothly. I coordinate with your planner and vendors, stay on top of the timeline, and make sure key moments happen when they should without slowing the flow of the night.
With over 15 years of experience, I’m comfortable handling everything from detailed timelines to last-minute changes, so you can relax and enjoy the night.

At the wedding, he was an absolute star! He played a fantastic set with several genres that we had requested throughout the night. All of our guests said they hadn't danced that much in years! Even when it rained for about 20 minutes, people were still on the dance floor having the time of their lives.
