For starters, I just have to thank Jen and her team for their amazing job with my wedding.

Living in the US, I always wanted a destination wedding. I didn't know I wanted to get married in Costa Rica until I got engaged (2 years earlier) in La Fortuna. I knew Costa Rica was so diverse from the mountains, volcanoes, beaches, etc. but I never could imagine that my wedding would be the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen (I may be biased :) ).

Starting with the whole interview process, I knew I needed a Spanish speaking Costa Rican native to help me with the language barrier, I never thought I could do it alone. Little did Jen know (she still doesn't until I write this review), I was working full-time as a nurse, while in school to become a Nurse Practitioner (for the Costa Rican's and foreigners, basically like a doctor), so time was hard to come by to plan my wedding. The initial interview, I felt like I knew Jen already, her personality/aura was SO welcoming.

The whole process was extremely smooth, she is VERY attentive and timely in her responses to you from the start... to the very end... even past the ceremony/reception. I feel like I have made a friend for life, someone I got to share a major life event with (and little did she know an additional one by graduating and becoming a working NP). She was very ontop of EVERYTHING, hiring vendors, trying to get my vision to put it on paper, etc. with many reminders from busy old me, which I really needed especially since I had a hard time deciding. At the end of the day, she saw my vision and beyond, and for that I am forever grateful.

Leading up to the wedding, I was nervous traveling to another country, but Jen had many lists to keep me in check to keep me feeling calm and relaxed leading up to it. For payment of vendors, she has an extensive, very detailed spreadsheet that is extremely easy to navigate with deadlines for everything.

Now it comes time to meeting Jen (and her team) for the first time and she was once again SO warm and welcoming, just as if I've known her forever. She even welcomed me with the BIGGEST hug ever. The day before the wedding, we ran through the ceremony to make sure everything was clear the day of.

Now comes wedding day... and I will just leave some pictures. She EXCEEDED all of my expectations and dreams. I felt like a guest at my own wedding... and everyone that attended said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I immediately started crying when I saw my wedding bouquet, which then made her cry in return (again, such a genuine soul).

So now, it has been a whole year since I got married, I unfortunately had a poor experience with my videographer and I still haven't received my wedding video. I waited in hopes I would get it so I could relive the beautiful job she did over and over again to write this review. I reached out to Jen (in desperation for some help). She repeatedly has reached out to me for MONTHS to see if I have received my video, and she has done what she could to reach out to help me get my video. This just shows what an AMAZING person she is, long after the wedding.

Despite all the other clients she has, she will always make you feel like you are her only client during the wedding season and will make you feel like a forever friend afterwards.

If you are deciding between Jen and another planner, your best decision will be to go with Jen!!!

I called Jennifer 2 weeks right before our trip for our 20 year vow renewal. Her team did everything. Beautiful flowers, great mariachi, a pastor, chef who made a beautiful and delicious dinner, best hair stylist I’ve ever hired, and photographer who took beautiful pictures. I couldn’t believe they provided better services than anything I’ve ever received in the states. Absolutely blown away and so glad I picked them. Worth every penny. Super short and intimate ceremony was more than anything I expected.

If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding planner—stop. Do it. And if you’re lucky enough to work with Jenifer and her team, do not hesitate.

Everyone kept asking me if I was stressed or overwhelmed during the wedding planning process—because “weddings are so stressful,” right? And planning one in another country? Sounds impossible. But with Jenifer, it was the opposite. Honestly, it felt like I just showed up.

My husband (still feels amazing to say that!) and I are both incredibly busy—between the both of us, we’re juggling full-time jobs, a small business, wrapping up a PhD program, have too many pets, and still strive to make as much time for our friends and family as possible. And the result? It was truly beyond anything we could’ve imagined. Every detail felt so thoughtful, so intentional, and so us. From the colors to the overall vibe to the seamless flow of the day—it felt like Jenifer understood our vision even better than we did. The wedding wasn’t just beautiful; it was genuinely magical. Jenifer thought of everything—I mean everything. I almost felt guilty for how little stress I felt… it was that smooth.

Yes, sending large payments to someone you’ve never met in person in another country is scary. But I am so glad I put my trust in her. I showed up to the best weekend of my life. She and her team made it happen, and we’re still ugly crying tears of joy just thinking about it.

And we can’t forget her amazing team—David, Adriana and Marian kept everything running smoothly the day of, the makeup and hair artists she recommended were incredible, and the lovely woman who did my nails was so kind and talented. From the photographers and videographers to the fire dancers (!!), everyone she brought into the mix was professional, passionate, and truly cared about their work.

Jenifer is a visionary, a calming presence, a creative powerhouse, and someone who truly cares. Our wedding was better than I ever dreamed—and it wouldn’t have happened without her.

Our destination wedding became a dream come true thanks to Jenifer and her team!! She took all of our ideas and brought them to life perfectly. Everything looked exactly as we were hoping for. We couldn’t have done any of this without her. Now we will remember our wedding in such a special way!

We got married on 4/15/23 at Arenal Kioro and are big Jenifer Hernandez fans.

We got engaged in December of 2021 and knew immediately that we needed help planning our wedding.

Receptive - For the first months of planning, Jen answered any questions we had while also gathering information on what she needed from us. As we drew closer to the Big Day, Jen was so thoughtful of every detail, from providing vendor options to making sure we like gummy bears.
Jen truly guided us every step of the way.

Responsive - We’re not gonna lie, we sometimes sent Jen on some wild goose chases. Jen always listened to our tangents and then worked to make it happen. When those ideas didn’t pan out, she was a true professional who pivoted immediately to the next plan. She made us feel comfortable to share our ideas even though we had no idea what we were doing (or were asking her to do, sorry Jen!)

Positive - Our wedding was non-traditional, and Jen was not only helpful but encouraging. You can rely on her experience to make sure everything goes smoothly and work with you when you have a few odd ideas. Jen is a miracle worker and will put together the most beautiful, lush, and luxurious experience a bride and groom can have (and all within budget!)

Jenifer orchestrated an incredible elopement for us! We began planning with minimal time (1 month), yet everything was perfect. Bottom line..on our wedding day..we had nothing to worry over and we were able to focus on only each other!

I highly recommend Jennifer. She was professional, enthusiastic, attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond with a couple other things at the resort we stayed at.
