My husband Craig and I live in NYC, and when it came to finding a videographer for our wedding at Rosecliff in Newport, RI, we didn't know where to begin. I am admittedly picky with quality and storytelling, and the few Newport videographers I liked were all already booked very far in advance. What I didn't know at the time was that this was a blessing in disguise because it forced me to expand my search to the broader New England area, and that's how I found Jay whose work vastly exceeds any of the other videographers I had considered. I'll start with the quality – his videos are now all shot in 4K, which I didn't even know was a thing, but you can instantly tell the difference. He also is a licensed Drone pilot, which was essential to our gorgeous Rosecliff bird's eye views. His wedding films look movie quality with their combination of premium technology, music and storytelling. So beyond his equipment, Jay is incredibly professional, kind and eager to please and exceed expectations. He was extremely calm and professional on our wedding day, as were his two assistants. My whole bridal party and family commented on how nice they were to work with. And as professional as Jay is, he is very comfortable and communicative however is easiest (email, calls, texts, etc.) Photo and video were two of the most important parts of my wedding day, and I really appreciated how I could always text Jay, and how we could both gush over our genuine excitement for my Rosecliff wedding. Jay's enthusiasm was contagious and constantly lifted me up when I was stressed, as brides tend to be close to the wedding day. Post-wedding upon viewing our wedding trailer (which was delivered in a matter of days, by the way), Jay and I continued to gush together.

But above all, and perhaps most importantly – beyond the high-quality equipment, the professionalism and sincerity – Jay has an unbelievable eye and natural intuition for what makes a beautiful shot and an impactful story. When choosing videographers I consulted my older sister who is somewhat of a wedding video connoisseur, and in explaining why Jay was her clear favorite, she said his videos were the ones that made her cry the hardest!

I cannot recommend Jay enough. I feel so lucky he shot our wedding day. He truly elevates what a wedding video is into art. Multiple people who saw our wedding trailer said it deserves an Oscar, and I couldn't agree more...I can only imagine what the longer videos will be like! Thank you Jay!!!

Jay was phenomenal to work with, when I first reached out he recommended a FaceTime call where he went over his offerings and answered any questions that I had. I felt a connection with him and could tell he was very passionate about his work. From the the time I booked him up until the wedding, he was the vendor that I communicated with the most - texting almost on a weekly basis (what can I say, I was a very needy client).
Jay listened to all the feedback and over the course of our engagement I sent him several examples of aspects I'd like to be included in our film. I got the teaser, short film and documentary edit as part of my package. I also upgraded a few weeks before the wedding and he was very flexible with a payment arrangement, which was appreciated. Although videography may be an extra expense for brides, I highly recommend it in addition to photography because it captures your special day in a way that photos cannot. If you book Jay I have 3 pieces of advice 1. be clear on what his style is to ensure that matches what you are looking for, for example I had to forgo my desire to include a billboard song on our film 2. Be very open about what you like/don't like and 3. understand the turn around time. If those aspects align with your need you will not regret booking JayNandez films for your wedding day!

Picking Jay as my videographer was definitely one of the best choices we made for our wedding. He made himself readily available for any questions we had, and even worked with a family member from out of state who was coordinating things. His attention to detail was made evident not only in his videos, but during our meeting before the wedding. He spends time with you as a couple to understand who you are and find out what things are important to you. On the day of the wedding he and his assistant were punctual and friendly. They were never intrusive or demanding, and were great people to be around. Our footage was absolutely amazing when we got it back. The attention to detail was amazing and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. I’d recommend him to everybody!

We spent several weeks researching videographers and after a few conversations with various vendors, we selected Jay as our videographer based on his sample videos, his creative style and price. Jay was very personable and professional to work with. We were in contact with Jay through the planning process, he quickly responded to any questions and concerns we raised. The day of the wedding Jay came with his assistant on time according to the plans, throughout the wedding you could see them taking shots of the wedding. About 1 month after the wedding we received the wedding highlight and were amazed by it (the video literally brought me to tears). Jay really captured the special moments of the wedding, he captured our family and friends and even the music selection was perfect. Feedback to our video was enormous, friends and family commented how the video was emotional, beautiful, etc. My husband and I are so happy we decided to invest money into a videographer and even more thankful for selecting Jay as our videographer. We cannot wait to see the long edit!

I wish I could choose 6 stars, because Jay deserves it. From the customer service to the artistic and technical quality of his work, he is simply one of the best videographers you can find if you are looking to capture your day in truly unique fashion. Like many people, my fiance and I were on the fence about getting a videographer for our wedding day, but wanted to at least investigate some options. We entered our info on Thumbtack.com and soon began receiving emails from a dozen videographers interested in working with us. Jay managed to differentiate himself from the very first interaction. Most of the videographers merely sent us a quote, and others sent us a generic message about what services they offer, but Jay had taken the time to read our submission and sent us a personalized note, highlighting some of the artistic qualities we said we were looking for in our video and noting why he thinks he can deliver that for us. This meant a lot to us, particularly since so many people in the wedding industry treat everything like a transaction. Jay responded to our requests with lightning speed (on text, email, phone, and Facetime!), and even drove 30-40 minutes to meet us in person on a Saturday morning, specifically so he could learn about our relationship, our love, our priorities, and the theme/vibe we were looking to create with our wedding, all of this prior to us selecting him as our videographer. Upon meeting Jay, we immediately noticed how genuine he is and how much passion he has for his art. I specifically call it art, and not "work," because Jay is a true individual and artist - it's undeniable from watching the trailers on his website: they are mind-blowingly beautiful, versatile in style, and with the perfect subtle balance of theatrics and raw emotion. The most important thing for you to realize in watching Jay's videos is how DIFFERENT all of them are! Jay has an extremely impressive and rare ability to capture the energy and emotions of an event and put it into edited film. This should not be undervalued! So many other wedding videos are "cookie cutter," and while they may be beautifully edited and perfectly acceptable, they do not tell the STORY! My wife and I, and all of our friends and family, were absolutely floored by how well Jay's video, particularly the 5-minute edit, recreated the EXACT energy of our day, from start to finish. Our full-length wedding video was no different... and, true to form, Jay went the extra mile and hosted a private showing with our favorite red wine at his offices to deliver our video, presented in a beautiful custom JayNandez box with thumb drive and personalized DVD, plus a digital version. On our wedding day, Jay and his crew were absolute professionals. They captured every special moment without ever feeling like they were "in the way." They work around you, not the other way around, and we greatly appreciated that. All this to say, you should choose Jay and JayNandez Films with the utmost confidence to film one of the most important days of your life. After seeing my sister's gorgeous wedding video, I just knew I had to get Jay to do mine as well. Thankfully, Jay agreed to come all the way down to Louisiana to film it! Words cannot describe how much of an amazing job he did. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into each shot and how much they truly care about capturing your perfect day. We received the video two weeks ago and I am still receiving compliments on how amazing it looks. When your wedding day seems to only last 5 minutes It's a relief to be able to relive it in such a beautiful way! 10/10 would recommend!

Choosing Jay to help capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made!
