We are Jason and Casey Hurst, husband and wife, best friends, & wedding photographers. We love photography, both ours and other artist's work, and enjoy every opportunity to express ourselves through photography. We have been married for 13 years, and have two beautiful boys, Dylan and our angel Tucker. Tucker passed away on June 14, 2016 at 15 years old from a rare terminal condition called Hunter's Syndrome (MPS II). He loved singing songs, playing ball, hitting balloons, and watching shows and movies like The Sandlot, Spongebob, Dora the Explorer, Finding Nemo, Scooby Doo, etc. Dylan is 17, and is the most mature and amazing teen you will ever come across. Even though he is the younger brother, he played the role of older brother with Tucker. He is homeschooled and going to college to become a game warden, but he has also has amazing social skills and a gift with talking to and caring for young kids as well as a wonderful artistic eye in photography. He's already shot 4 weddings at age 17, and is amazing! We love having a family of photographers.
Jason Hurst has a Bachelor's Degree in Photography from Georgia Southern University as well as an Associate of Arts from ABAC. He is trained as an Art Photographer, and brings his artistic vision to every shoot. Jason Hurst won South's Greatest Professional Photographer in 2014 and South's Greatest Wedding Photographer in 2015. Casey Hurst is a mother with a mother's vision for photography. Trained by Jason, Casey won South's Greatest Professional Photographer in 2015. Together they were voted Best of the Boro 7 years in a row from 2013-2019.
We pride ourselves on our personality, creative intentions, and determination. We are very outgoing, friendly people who love to interact and get to know our clients beyond the business relationship, and we push ourselves continuously to find new and creative ways to photograph our clients as well as fine tune our skills as photographers.
We want to tell your story. We want to capture the tiniest details of your wedding day. The emphasis in our photography is to capture the real love, the real moments, on your very special day. As a husband and wife, we know the importance of this day. As parents who have lost a child, we know how significant every moment really is and how pictures truly last and can be such a powerful reflection of both people and love. Our ability to be in two different places at the same time is one of the biggest assets to our clients. We also have such a large amount of experience in photographing weddings that we've seen and fixed so many different problems and helped plan and organize so many days for our Brides and Grooms. We have a great love for what we do and would love to work with you!

As a bonus to their general awesomeness, Jason was kind enough to drive from Statesboro to Savannah the day before my wedding to do our "engagement shoot" since we live out of town and had not been able to make it in to town to do our engagement shoot sooner.
On the day of my wedding, Jason and Casey were amazing. They were so sweet, great guides in how to pose and not look like huge dorks, and were all around enjoyable to work with. Jason also gave us a few sneak peaks as he was working, and it was apparent that his amazing photography is all due to an amazing eye for photography and not tons of editing after the fact - he's just that good.
Many of my guests complimented my choice of photographer by saying that they did not even see my photographers during my ceremony or reception, which I took as a huge compliment. I wanted people to remember the ceremony and for pictures to be a nice way to remember the day - that is exactly what Jason and Casey did. They weren't shoving people out of the way or asking them to move into different positions or anything - they let people hang out as they normally would and snapped away at those memories.
Following my wedding, it took a couple of months to receive my pictures, which seems to be on par with other photographers from the weddings that I've been to. I really couldn't be any happier with my decision to pick Jason Hurst Photography and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing photographer for their wedding day.
