Jany did my hair for my wedding on 7/1/2017. My updo lasted all night long through dancing and celebrating. She recreated the updo as shown on a picture to the exact detail. She is the sweetest, loving, stress free, and accommodating hairstylist in the wedding business.

Have used Jany for both of my daughters’ weddings. The patience, creativity, and kindness to name a few of her many excellent qualities she possesses is an understatement. The products are amazing because both weddings were outdoors and the hairdo stayed intact throughout, it even rained slightly and still I was picture perfect! Constant communication before the event; stayed to ensure that everything was good and went above and beyond!!! Couldn’t be happier and not using her would be a mistake! HIGHLY recommend her!!!

She did my hair for my wedding and for my sisters wedding and she is amazing! I let her do whatever she wanted for my sisters wedding and she did such an amazing design that kept my hair out of my face but still was down. She was even able to seamlessly blend my extensions both times! I love her and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylist for any event.

Jany is a sweet and service-oriented stylist. She took the time to listen to my wants and offered several styles that worked with my hair. You can do a hair trial for an additional cost which is done in her beautiful home. Jany arrived on time the day of and worked quickly to help us offset a late start on our end. She is bilingual in English and Spanish which was a plus for my wedding party. She did a wonderful job creating my bridal hair and I recommend her to anyone.

The level of unprofessionalism I experienced with Jany is unlike anything I’ve encountered before. She clearly prioritizes money over integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
I initially contacted her about hairstyling for my wedding on October 31. During our first conversation, she offered a 20% discount for bookings made before the end of the year and mentioned that she only books one wedding per day so she can stay for touch-ups and veils if needed. Everything seemed great, and I planned to book once I confirmed my timeline with my planner.
A few days later, she reached out saying another bride was “inquiring” about the same date, but that whoever signed the contract and paid the deposit first would secure it. I immediately confirmed I wanted to move forward.
🚩 Red Flag #1
When she sent the contract, she asked if I’d be willing to give up my 20% discount for myself (keeping it only for my bridal party), because she might be “giving up more money” with the other bride (who hadn’t even booked her yet) It was disappointing and unprofessional to retract a discount that was already offered, but I decided to be understanding and agreed to forfeit it.
I signed the contract and paid my 50% deposit, officially securing my date (as confirmed in writing).
🚩 Red Flag #2
About a month later, on November 24, she emailed to say that the other bride (the one who hadn’t confirmed) now wanted to book, and that she could no longer accommodate me.
Instead of honoring her signed contract and deposit, she canceled me to take the higher-paying job ,completely contradicting her own policy that “whoever books first gets the date.”
To make matters worse, she had already lined up another stylist to “take over” my booking for the same price, as if I could just be handed off to someone else. I refused ! at that point, I couldn’t possibly trust someone who treated clients this way.
When I asked for my deposit refund, she told me that I “might not be thinking clearly,” claimed that I “wouldn’t find anyone else,” and even insisted on holding onto my deposit until I was calmer. The conversation was infuriating and incredibly unprofessional.
Thankfully, I stood my ground, got my money back, and quickly found another stylist who was reliable, kind, and far more professional. Ironically, there were plenty of stylists available ,completely disproving the scare tactics she used to pressure me into accepting her replacement.
⚠️ Bottom Line
Jany canceled a confirmed, paid booking because she received a more lucrative offer — and even tried to pressure me into letting her keep my deposit and use her replacement instead.
After sharing my experience, I’ve since learned that I’m not the first to have issues with her ethics or reliability.
If she’s willing to drop a bride before a wedding for more money, she could easily do it to anyone.
Save yourself the stress and heartbreak . look elsewhere.
