My husband and I organized our wedding in Virginia on a budget while living abroad in Africa. We debated whether or not to spend money on a photographer - wouldn't friends taking photos be good enough? I am so glad that we chose to go with Janice C Photography instead. Jen was very accessible and professional via email, which was very important to us. We met in person a few days before the wedding and she was extremely well organized - she worked very well and reasonably to match our needs and budget. My husband and I both felt very comfortable during the day of the wedding - neither of us are very comfortable in front of the camera but the candids were not intrusive and the planned photo time was relaxed. And of course, the final results - really really great! Wonderful variety of detail shots, black and whites, portraits and candids -- all superior quality. It was also very important to us to skip printing and just have access the digital photo files from which we could make our own albums, etc - Jen worked with us to make this possible. I highly recommend her with no reservations, great experience and great photos!

We can't say enough good things about Janice. She went above and beyond the standard posed family pictures. She was able to accurately and honestly capture the emotion of our wedding. She was a very calming, positive influence on what was a very hectic day. She wasn't pushy or invasive; she always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to capture every aspect of our wedding. Her attitude was always upbeat and positive and was extremely professional, yet always personal and approachable. She was super flexible, and responded immediately through email whenever we had a question. We definitely made the right choice and I highly recommend her!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Jen (and Fred)! She is so easy to work with and was just a wonderful person to have with us on our wedding day. We did an engagement session, and Jen arrived early (despite cold and rainy weather) to scope out several spots around Old Town where she wanted to take pictures. All we had to do was follow her around and smile. We were very impressed by her planning and attention to detail.
On the day of the wedding, she arrived early again to be familiar with the venue. She handled our large wedding party and large list of formal pictures that we wanted with ease and stayed on schedule. And she took so many beautiful candids throughout the night.
We have so many photos that we love, and she got them to us just a few weeks after the wedding. I highly recommend Jen!

Jen and her husband were absolutely wonderful at our wedding. She captured amazing shots but it never felt like she was running the show or getting in the way. She was calm and fun and up for anything and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again if we were to do the whole thing over again :) Absolutely fantastic value for cost, she made it affordable to have a photographer and I couldn't ask for anything more. She was sweet and gracious and was eager to get us all the shots that we wanted. Her pictures were available promptly online (unlike my sister who had to wait months to see her shots) so that all my guests could check them out.

Jen was great to work with. The pictures we got came out great! Jen was very flexible with what we were looking for and did a great job. Of course with all weddings, the only thing we needed was more time! But with the time we had, Jen was great at adapting to what we were looking for and taking great memorable pictures for us that will last a lifetime. Jen was a pleasure to work with! She was very attentive and professional and really understood the feeling of our wedding. She was above and beyond what we expected and she demanded much more of herself than we ever would. We trusted her with documenting our big day and she was amazing. Definitely would hire her again.

Janice & her husband were photographers for my wedding this last October. They arrived early, scouted the area for photoshoot opportunities, and were professional the whole time.
I'm impressed with the quality of the pictures taken, but wish a few more photos had been taken during our photoshoot opportunity. Granted, our time got a little crunched because the ceremony started late (when does a wedding ever go off on time??) and Janice had even advised me that I might want to schedule more time for pictures- however, I did not want to leave my guests waiting on me & my new husband.
Overall, she did a great job & I would recommend her!
