Badass photography
Janelle has been taking pictures of me litterally since like 2005 or 2006 she is as professional as they come and always has been. It's unfortunate to hear of others bad experiences but after reading the review I can say that def doesn't sound like Janelle AT all. Her pics are always perfect in my experience and I'm not photogenic

Had an unfortunate experience Janelle Dodson Photography.
Janelle was a good friend of my wife's and offered to photograph our wedding, we met at a coffee shop, discussed the wedding, she provided her rates and we accepted the terms and pricing. Paid upfront ??
We spoke several times, regarding photo editing styles that we favored and kept her updated in group emails with vendor contact info and schedules.
The day of the wedding she was punctual and photographed the bridal party getting ready, pre-ceremony, the ceremony and the reception.
Unfortunately when the bridal party and family joined at our dedicated location we discovered our photographer was not familiar with posing the wedding party for photographs.
Throughout the reception Janelle moved around rather frequently and took a lot of photographs.
After the wedding we scheduled a date to meet at a local coffee shop and discuss the photos. She showed up over an hour late and seemed hesitant to show us the photos, she asked if we had a hard drive and she could just give us all of the photos and let us pick out 50 for her to edit.
We drove home and discovered we had over 1500 photos to look through. 75% were out of focus, or duplicate shots. We also discovered that a lot of significant moments were not captured. The group shots were very awkward. Most of the images were distorted with a fish eye effect. Faces and bodies were stretched. I quickly reached out to Janelle and mentioned that the images were distorted, her response was rather rude and she disregarded the issues and reminded me she charged us "chump change."
We selected the 50 images and waited eagerly for the finished product and video. The finished product was mailed on a flash drive with a letter stating "I have fulfilled my end of the contract and wish to have no further contact of any kind with you." The photos are terrible, distorted, stretched faces, very low resolution images. The video was 4min long, very low quality and choppy.
