Amazing Rooftop Wedding Venue

As a Wedding and Event Planner, I have worked at hundreds of venues in the tri-state area. Ink 48 is by far the most underrated venue in the city!

Our venue flooded a week before the wedding and Andreas completely saved the day! Andreas offered us the penthouse and terrace at the most affordable price! The views are absolutely breathtaking! It epitomizes what a NYC rooftop should look like!
The week leading up to the event, Andreas (the Sales Director) was in constant communication with me to ensure we had everything we needed and all questions could be answered. Nick Ivezaj, GM and team accommodated our every need. 5 stars for hospitality! On the day of, our marble sweetheart table tops had a mishap and couldn't get to us - Joe the hotel engineer helped me come up with a creative solution to build a glass tabletop for the Bride and Groom. Talk about a superstar troubleshooter!

The entire team made our day smooth and unforgettable. When it comes to the top venues I trust for my clients in the city, Ink 48 definitely lands in the top 5! I cannot wait to throw my next event here!

We had our ceremony and reception on the rooftop deck of the Penthouse and it was amazing. Everyone was super helpful and professional. Andres was great to work with and was able to make sure that all of our needs were met. The food from Print was delicious and the guests loved it. The views of the New York City skyline and Hudson River were beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding.

We would highly recommend the venue to anyone looking for a small rooftop wedding.

P.S. Staying in the Penthouse after the wedding was a nice touch that comes with renting the space.

ink48's Penthouse suite was perfect for my small wedding of about 20 people! I was looking for a very "NYC experience" for my guests who were coming from all over the country. I also wanted a low key experience for myself. I was not interested in coordinating catering, linens, decorations, etc. ink48 took care of it all and made it an easy wedding planning experience. The suite itself is large and modern with a sizable outdoor roof deck upstairs than can hold a large party. We were able to use the suite to get ready before the wedding and there was a bedroom for us to spend the night in after the wedding.

I had the ceremony outside on the upstairs patio. My guests had their breath taken away by the skyline. I hardly needed any decorations since the city was enough of a background by itself. We had originally wanted to eat dinner outside but it had rained earlier in they day and it was still hot and humid by dinner time. The hotel was happy to accommodate dinner inside the suite with some much needed AC. The group sat at two round, banquet style tables and enjoyed a buffet style dinner. We resumed the reception outdoors after the sun had set and enjoyed dancing and taking plenty of photos with the city in the background.

Our catering & sales manager, John was great. He was available the entire night and helped us with several requests. The entire staff was very hospitable and accommodating. They ensured that the space was set up and flipped properly for the ceremony, dinner and reception. They have speakers wired into the hotel so you can hook up your computer and play your own music throughout the evening. The food was delicious as well.

My family and I had an amazing time and it will be a night we never forget. Even though the wedding was small, they space made it feel like we were at the classiest and most exclusive event of the season! I would highly recommend this space for someone who is looking to have a small but still very NYC wedding.

We got married at the Ink 48 hotel, in the Heaven over hell suite.
We are both in the UK so we never saw the venue before but when we arrived we knew the place was perfect. Our ceremony was late afternoon just as the sun was setting. The room was magical. The views were amazing and we got some brilliant photos. We got married in December so it was very cold, had it been in the summer I would strongly recommend the balcony above which is huge and has the best views of the city. We still managed to brave the cold and get some great photos.
We had 21 guests who were there for the ceremony and dinner after. We had a bar in the adjoining room so guests could step out whilst the room furniture was switched. The food was incredible. The waiters were fantastic and just like any good waiters blended into the background. After dinner the dinner table were moved to the side and we had plenty of space to all have a dance.
The only slight issue was communication. There was a change of staff leading up to our wedding and our main contact I feel probably had too much work so probably couldn’t communicate as quickly as we would have liked. This should not put you off however as our contact Andres helped create one of the best days of our lives.
We highly recommend the Ink48 hotel as a venue if you are after a small intimate wedding in New York but with the wow factor.

Traumatizing experience. Terrible management. Not worth it

We had our wedding this August at Ink 48 Heaven Over Hell Penthouse terrace. The only worth thing is the view. The experience of working with them is stressful and traumatizing. It took me 2 months that I can finally calmly write about what happened on our wedding day. For future couples, please read my long review so you know what you are getting yourself into.

We booked the terrace as our venue. The terrace suite and penthouse suite come with it as our getting ready rooms. We stayed in the penthouse suite the night before and the night of wedding. It rained overnight on our wedding day and we woke up with a leaking ceiling and a pool at the bath area the next day. We called the front desk and the sales manager Afiya, someone came up with bins after half hour. The only response we got is that we needed to move our stuff out of that room ASAP. Once we moved everything out, the ceiling plastic collapsed. It’s terrible to deal with this on the day after our wedding. When we asked for compensation, they rejected and said that the rooms come with the terrace and we didn’t directly pay for the room. After 2 months of following up, they finally gave us some sort of compensation - 1 free night at one of their hotel room. At this point, we don’t want to step in the hotel again.

On the day before our wedding, we discovered that the AC blows only warm air in the penthouse suite bedroom. We notified the front desk, but it’s a long-lasting issue that they are aware of and didn’t bother to fix. They didn’t even have a fan in August. Then we discovered that the bathroom lock is broken (this is the bathroom that all our guests would use on our wedding day). We called and asked for a fix. They didn’t have a locksmith on site that day and promised us that they would fix it in the morning of our wedding day. Then they called on wedding day and told us the locksmith is sick. In the end, I had my bridesmaid printing out a sign and putting up on the bathroom door.

I DIYed our wedding for 45 guests. When we booked the hotel, they told us that the sales manager Afiya would be the coordinator of the day. I communicated solely with Afiya before our weeding and it’s been going well until the day of. Half hour before the ceremony, Afiya told me that the mic wasn’t working. She didn’t bother to test it out in the morning or having a backup. In the end, my videographer fixed the mic cause the mic was simply not charged. We had to have the hotel bartender and the bartender was half hour late, leaving everyone standing without the bar after the ceremony. I had customized wine charm made with guests’ names and they were supposed to be set up before the ceremony. After the ceremony, they were not setup. I asked Afiya why, she said it’s too windy, so she made the decision not setting them up without even communicating with us. Then I asked her to let the bartender call names and hand out people’s glasses, the bartender started to hand out glasses randomly. My bridesmaids ran around the whole time to switch people’s wine charms. It was a mess.

Then it started to rain. The plan was to flip the terrace after the ceremony. The hotel staff put out dinner tables and our pink table clothes. When it started to rain, nobody cared to remove anything. I asked Afiya for staff to move them, she said this is a hazard working environment (it’s not pouring rain! It’s drizzling!) They left everything in the rain to get wet. We had to move our dinner venue to Plan B, an indoor meeting room. While I was changing, Afiya called me and said 2 tablecloths were wet so she threw them out (without communicating with us again). We will have only 4 pink tables and 2 black ones. I also prepared tea light candles and I discussed this specifically with Afiya to make sure flames are allowed. Before the dinner, she told me that flames were not allowed so we couldn’t use them. When I walked into the dining room, I shockingly found out that Afiya gave the two most important tables the black tablecloths. Our wedding theme is all pink. The tables that My husband and I sat with our families and the table of bridesmaids were black. Everyone went back to the terrace after dinner since the rain stopped. The next morning I went back to the dining room to gather my stuff (candles, plate chargers, flowers, etc). The room was cleaned out and they threw out everything except my flowers, without asking us. When I asked Afiya about it, she said she was not aware, even for the candles that never got used.

There was definitely not enough staff for a 45 people wedding. Afiya kept coming to me on our wedding day, asking for help from our bridesmaids and groomsmen. In the end, our wedding day was still great because of our amazingly understanding guests and helpful vendors, and we are lucky that the rain came after the ceremony. If I have known about all these, I would 100% avoid Ink 48. Nobody deserves this stress on their wedding day.
