ILS did both of our video and photography for our Indian/American ceremony and they are beyond amazing. The collaboration between both photographers (Laura & Ashton) and videographers (Shaj & Raj) was everything we could have ever asked for. They work seamlessly together to bring you amazing photos and unforgettable video. They were one of our favorite vendors of the wedding. The experience working with them was something we will never forget. It was fun and their passion for their jobs just made it perfect. I’d recommend them to everyone and anyone. They showed up early and stayed late just to make sure they got everything and their work is stunning. Absolutely love love them so much!

The ILS team has been amazing from start to finish; it’s one of the best wedding vendors we worked with. They are professional, detail oriented, crystal clear with communication, and truly warm-hearted fun people. But their work is what shines the most. They want to give you memories of a lifetime, and their skillsets in other types of videography (for example, for business branding or documentaries), means that their story telling and camera shots are crisp and meaningful in ways that are unique from other videographers whose work we have seen. Shaj and Raj gave grounding and peace during the highly stressful experience of planning and replanning a pandemic wedding, and for that also we are grateful. Many were not as fortunate as us and their conduct shows the strong ethics that guide this company.

Some examples of our experience that highlight the above. Shaj – who we adore – set up a few chats to get to know us, our dynamic, and build a joint vision for the videography. You can tell by ILS wedding videos that each capture elements unique and real to the couples personality, not just the event, and this is part of the way they do it. They were up for working with the playfulness we wanted in the videos. They did a ton of footage, and distilled it to an awesome highlights video. That being said, there were things in our mindseye that we wanted reflected and they super patiently worked with us to incorporate these. I mean, I had to have sent them 15 different requests and said for at least 10 of these “last one I promise!”. Raj in particular took the brunt of this and was so patient and kind; it’s hard not to get crazy excited seeing your wedding video for the first time and remember things after the fact or realize hey this or that person should be in the highlights video too, and what’s awesome about them is that they get that.

They get that a wedding is an emotional and special experience and they take their task of honoring you, your family and friends for real. It’s not a business, it’s a union of a couple, and that’s how I always felt with them and that’s how I feel after looking at the final product. We love it and we love rewatching our video and reliving all those many moments.

We were very glad that we worked with ILS to document our wedding day. They were easy to work and communicate with, and made sure all the details were ready before our wedding day. Everyone we worked with was friendly and accommodating as well.
The day of, they came early to set all their equipment up and test to make sure everything was working. Throughout the day, they did a great job capturing every special moment without it feeling like they were in the way. We trusted them to to create a special video for us and we were not disappointed in the slightest! The video was beautiful and they were able to show all the highlights from the day. We would highly recommend working with ILS!

Full disclosure--I've known Shajan of ILS since I was born, basically, so I wanted to put that out there from the beginning. Nevertheless, I can't think of a better way to have had our day documented than the way they handled it. We had a large wedding with very particular cultural traditions, and even though some of it was new to them, they absolutely listened to us and did their best to capture so much of it for posterity. The many, many photos that they took were breathtaking (even if they involved me in them!). Perhaps the easiest to share portion of this whole event was the wedding teaser and highlight videos. I'm sure there people who want to just sit and watch an unedited version of the whole day (my wife being one of them), but for me, their edited versions of the day make it seem like such a beautiful experience presented in bite-sized form. I wouldn't show my students the whole wedding ceremony, for example, but I showed them a couple of the videos ILS made of the event, and they were both cheering and weeping and how beautiful it was. ILS took the time to get to know us and to tell our story in a way unique to us. I'm not sure there's much more you could hope for.

In The Light Studio created the most beautiful recap video and photos of our barn wedding! Our vows were overlaid across the video. And Shaj was able to capture the true essence of the day, while keeping on the sidelines, never being a distraction. And Laura took the most stunning photos. She was incredibly professional, and knew how to move a crowd. These photos and video will be cherished by our friends and family forever!

The expertise and skill that the In the Light Studios team brings to the table is only second only to the amount of heart that they put into their work. The video and photography shoots were fun, painless, and came out beautiful. Their photographer even coached me through the cake cutting when I realized I had no idea what I was doing. This team is the real deal and they went above and beyond for us on our special day.

My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary this week and are so thankful that we chose ILS Weddings to capture our wedding day! We used their photo and video services. Looking back, the one thing we would have changed is hiring a wedding planner as well because that would have saved so much headache and stress.
