Our day couldn’t have gone smoother thanks to the staff as Idlewild. Everything was perfect!!!

Our wedding at Idlewild was perfect and went so smoothly. Taryn helped make the planning process a breeze and answered all questions that we had. Day of the wedding, everything was set up beautifully and we got nothing but great compliments from our guests about the food, the staff, and the venue! :)

I have only great things to say about this venue. My friends text me daily since the wedding to rave about different things. I am so incredibly happy we decided to have our special day at Idlewild. Affordable, great food, amazing space, fantastic staff.

If you are looking for a relatively stress-free wedding experience, then look no further than Idlewild! Not only is the location beautiful, but compared with all other venue options in the Chicagoland area, the cost and quality of services can not be beat. The consummately professional staff is led by GM, Peter Coryden. His 30+ years of experience shined through in his calming, reassuring manner, and his ability to foresee, troubleshoot and prevent any possible snags in our day. He responded to everything in a timely manner, and was generous, accommodating and considerate throughout. His knowledge of and good relationships with area vendors also added ease to all the planning. Chef Jeff paid special attention to all food preferences and sensitivities, and did not compromise taste. We had so many compliments about the deliciousness of the food! Della, was my fairy godmother throughout our wedding day. I didn’t even realize that the venue provided a personal attendant. She tended to and anticipated every need of our wedding party and even to our guests throughout the wedding. I can not say enough good things about this woman. Her loving presence was a gift. The space itself is also fantastic! One of my favorite spots was the bridal suite. It is one of the many free amenities Idlewild offers to make your day go by with ease so that your only focus is enjoying your time with those you love. I personally spent the full day there with my ladies. The salon sent their staff to ready us, and for a nominal fee Idlewild provided mimosas and delicious snacks. All in all, Idlewild is a classy wedding venue that conducts business with integrity, quality, affordability and style. Thank you Idlewild for making our wedding day extra wonderful!

Jen at Idlewild is fantastic, she made the whole process so stress free. She was very responsive to any emails with questions no matter how big or small she was always quick to reply and help. The food was DELICIOUS!! So many of our guests not only complimented us that night but are still telling us how good it was. You can't go wrong having your reception here. Everything was perfect.

We had our wedding at Idlewild, and we had an amazing experience. Jen, their wedding planner, is really awesome! She is great to work with and was really a big help. Our wedding could not have turned out any better. I really love the space at Idlewild. I would highly recommend it!

Idlewild was perfect for our reception! Jen was so easy to work with and provided us with all the information we needed for our big day. I loved that the chair covers and sashes and uplighting were provided with our package because those things can be costly. The food is phenomenal! Guests are still talking about our wedding from the food to the drinks.....EVERYTHING!

The staff at this country club absolutely made a huge contribution to our wedding day. Natalie, ESP worked with us from day one to make sure that the day was special! The venue is gorgeous!!! They only host one wedding per day, so ours was the only one there. We can go on and on...VERY HAPPY with the Venue and staff!

I loved Idlewild. I would recommend this venue for a wedding reception any day! The service and attention we received from Jen (event coordinator) was top notch. It is evident Jen loves her job, and does everything she can make the day as smooth as possible.

We loved the dinner, and many of our guests complimented on it, as well. The service, scenery, and price made this a wonderful pick for us. We would do it again if we could.

If you are thinking about having your wedding in Chicago's South Suburbs, have it at Idlewild Country Club!! We had our ceremony and reception at Idlewild and were so impressed by how wonderful everything went. The staff was incredible. They quickly answered all our questions and met all our requests in the time leading up to the wedding. Then, our wedding exceeded our expectations and was even better than we ever thought it would be! Everything went so smoothly, the food was terrific (they even made vegan and gluten free options for some of my guests!), and everyone had a great time. I had multiple people tell me that our wedding at Idlewild was one of the best they have been to!!
