I found my vintage 1950's dress here that I had wanted since childhood! Don't get overwhelmed when you walk in and see the rows and rows of vintage dresses because you will find so many unique styles here that you simply cannot find anywhere else. The service is laid-back and very helpful. They work with a great seamstress, as well, so that made it simple for me to know where to get my dress altered. If you're looking for a dress that is slightly more unique than what is typically offered, then this is the place!

Kelly has a fantastic selection and is so great at helping you find a dress. Before my appointment, I sent Kelly pictures of dresses that I liked. By the time I arrived, Kelly had a few dresses pulled out for me. She listened to my opinions on each dress and worked to find me the perfect one. I bought my veil and an accessory here as well and they were both excellent. Prices are incredibly affordable! Thank you so much!

I found my dress at I Do Designer Bridal Consignment after being very overwhelmed looking at David's Bridal and a couple of other places. You definitely have to sort through some interesting choices, as it is consignment and has many vintage pieces. But I found the perfect dress that was well within my budget, and the owner was full of lots of helpful information about weddings in general. Definitely make the trip if you're looking in Chicago.

Before the appointment, I spoke with Kelly on the phone and she asked me my proportions, typical dress size, and what I had in mind. This allowed her to determine where in the racks to direct me and my family when we arrived, and allowed her to pre-select a couple dresses for me to try on.

You will have the store to yourself during your appointment. So it was a really fun, intimate day of shopping for me, my mom, my aunt and my future mother-in-law. Kelly put on some music, and invited us to peruse the racks, and as we found dresses, she moved them to the fitting room.

We were not rushed, nor did I feel sales pressure. And it turns out, the second dress I tried on was THE ONE. It brought tears to everyone's eyes, and I knew it was mine the minute I stepped into it.

I bought it that day, and Kelly stored it for me in a closed cabinet in her shop for nearly a year (I appreciated that as I had nowhere to store it safely from my husband's curious eyes).

Kelly has a seamstress she recommends. She did beautiful work - and for a reasonable price. The only thing I wished she had done differently was my bustle. More specifically, the type of fabric she used for the bustle ties. The seamstress selected blue satin ribbon - cute, but as it turns out, not practical. The bustle came undone very easily. But I didn't know this until my wedding reception. A friend ended up tying my train in a big knot for me. It was really cute, and at that point I didn't care. So just make sure you request non-satin-bustle ties :)

Referring to me as an atypical bride is an understatement. Working with Kelly was an absolute pleasure and I have been recommending her to everyone I know who is getting married and searching for "the dress". I found her boutique through articles regarding the best bridal shops in Chicago, and I booked an appointment on a whim while I knew I would be in the neighborhood. I told her what I wanted, which was, of course, not what I ended up with - luckily! I told her about my wedding, my style, and she picked out dresses. The first, I tried on and hated. Second, somewhat the same. She told me to hang on and grabbed a dress that I would not have chosen for myself. I fell head over heels in love with it - this was my first official dress shopping experience. I had another appointment later that day, but I went to it knowing (tentatively) that I had found THE DRESS. At that appointment later in the day I tried on various dresses, but nothing was quite like the one I fell in love with at her shop.

Needless to say I called back immediately and asked her how I could buy the dress. She explained the payment plan/layaway option and I was sold immediately. That was a huge perk since I didn't have the money immediately to purchase it but I knew I wanted to make sure it was mine.

Keep in mind - there may not be THE DRESS here at the boutique for everyone since it is not the typical bridal shop, All of her dresses and accessories are unique since they are consignment, so the selection may not be what every bride is looking for. However, I highly recommend you come here and give it a shot, you never know what will happen. I'm so glad that I made that choice! Thank you Kelly!

Recently purchased my wedding dress at "I Do" and I could not be happier. The owner, Kelly, and her daughter are super personable and very professional. Kelly is such a visionary! I was shopping for a very vintage inspired gown, and Kelly immediately understood what I was looking to do. She dressed me in tons of dresses and had impeccable ideas for alterations and custom designs. My dress is perfect and I would never have been able to put it together without her help. And she gave us a GREAT deal! (On top of the dress already being less than a third of the retail cost!)

What a fun store! Kelly is the sweetest and the dress selection is great. You are literally wading through dresses. My sister and I were both engaged and we got our dresses on the same day. Both happened to be brand new but there is a great selection of vintage and once-worn dresses as well. The seamstress, Adela is also a genius! Overall fantastic value and selection.
