I had the pleasure of working with Hyer Imaging for my wedding on May 20 at Saint John the Baptist Cathedral and the Thomas Bennett House. My husband, family, wedding party, and I loved working with Mr. and Mrs. Hyer. They were both very prompt, organized, creative, and hard working. It was very apparent to everyone that they love what they do and feel very comfortable, confident in their roles. Both my husband and I were very relaxed in front of the camera and had fun with Mr. Hyer during a private session around Charleston before heading to the reception. I had a conversation with them before our big day and had sent them photos of other weddings they had shot and photos of weddings I found on social media; I told them “I like these photos and would love to recreate them”. But instead of they encouraged us instead to be ourselves, relax, don’t overthink, and create our own unique shots. I really appreciated their honesty. I also really appreciated it when they told me to let them be creative, study the light, and shoot what they thought best represented the emotion in the room versus trying to recreate something that someone else shot. It was a sign of a very confident, capable team to let them take the reins behind the camera, and I know the shots they were able to capture will illustrate that.

Wonderful photographers and such nice people! My husband and I loved working with Billy and Rachel Hyer for both our engagement photo session and our wedding day. They were easy going and helped us feel at ease (which can be hard when people are taking a million photos of you)! I will hire them again and again throughout my life when I need a photo shoot for anything! After the wedding day was over, they felt more like our friends than our photographers.

Billy and Rachel are the best wedding photographers in Charleston! We used them for an engagement photo session, a bridal portrait session, and our wedding day. We wanted slightly artsy photos for the portrait sessions, and they definitely delivered with choice of backdrop, lighting, camera angles, and advice on posing. Having professional photos taken can be awkward and unnatural, but Billy and Rachel help make the couple feel relaxed and comfortable. And the photos look like they came out of a magazine! The Hyers were incredibly responsive and professional, and we cannot recommend them enough!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the brilliant Hyer Images! We were recommended Hyer Images by our wedding planner and I'm so grateful that we were able to use them. We had an engagement session with Billy about a year before hand, and loved how the photos turned out. For the wedding, we booked both Billy & Rachel, which was well worth it. They're a great team (being married and all), so easy-going to work with on the day, and no shot was left out. We had only given them a single "must have" shot and they took care of the rest. It's incredible how they captured so much emotion in our wedding photos. We only wish we had booked them for the after party as well! They're worth every penny and more.

My daughter was recently married at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens near Charleston. Not a day has gone by since, that we haven't been able to re-live the joyful emotions and beauty of that day because of the amazing work by Hyer Images. I know we will enjoy the memories, embellished by the incredible images of that day, for years to come. It was a magical day, with every special moment captured with artistry, by these two very talented photographers. Billy & Rachel were wonderful to work with and incredibly warm, personable and flexible. My daughter has a bit of an aversion to having her picture taken, yet these two were so incredible at putting her and everyone else at ease, which comes through beautifully in the photographs. We had a few last minute changes, including adjusting our meet time at the venue and the actual ceremony location because of a thunderstorm. Hyer Images could not have been more accommodating. When you chose a photographer for this important of an event, you are really entrusting them to capture the people, the place and the feelings surrounding that moment in time. I cannot imagine that anyone could have provided a better experience or better results, than what we had in working with Billy & Rachael/Hyer Images. We are so grateful for their contributions to my daughter and son in law's perfect day!

We are coming up on our one year anniversary and we absolutely love looking at the our wedding photos - the memories that Billy and Rachel captured remind us of our perfect day. These two are amazing to work with; so fun and relaxed. We are so not picture people, and somehow they managed to make us look good. :) Their style was exactly what we were looking for, and they put up with all of our families crazy photo requests. We would definitely recommend working with them.

Rachel and Billy are an amazing team that have a magical touch capturing the perfect photo! They are both so easy going and nice that it makes picture taking fun. I was blown away with the results and couldn't find a single bad photograph. Not only did they make my husband and I look terrific, but it was fun seeing all the great shots of our guests. I have gotten so many compliments from family and friends about how wonderful our pictures came out. Working with Hyer Images was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to any bride. Pictures are all you have left after the big day and I am so thankful to Rachel and Billy for making mine a beautiful memory.

Billy and Rachel of Hyer Images are the absolute best! They were extremely responsive and helpful leading up to the big day. And on the day of the wedding, they were very professional but also super friendly and fun and made my husband and I and our family and friends feel at ease immediately. I definitely recommend them!

We couldn't be more thrilled with Hyer Images and our wedding photographs. Billy handled all of our pre-wedding arrangements and Rachel was with us at the Wentworth Mansion to artfully document our entire wedding day. Our main goal was to have an intimate, private, family ceremony in Charleston, our favorite place, and Rachel was instrumental in making this happen. Every tiny detail was captured, every emotion on our faces of the faces of our guests captured as well. With great thoughtfulness and care, she captured images and moments between us and our four young children that took our breath away when we saw them. She did all of this while allowing the ceremony and celebration to happen with minimal interruption--it all felt wonderfully natural. I'd recommend Hyer Images to anyone hoping to capture the intimate, joyful moments on the happiest day they'll have, along with the mysterious and stately charm of Charleston itself. We'll cherish our gorgeous photographs from July 16th forever, and can't thank Rachel enough for her talent and professionalism.

ABSOLUTELY hands down THE BEST photographers! A husband and wife duo that bring magic to your day! They are a wonderful team that exudes love and passion.

I have had portraits taken many times and with multiple photographers all over the country and Hyer Images stands out as number one! They have such an artistic eye .. beautiful!

I did not like my hair/makeup for the first set of "Bridal Portraits" (a southern thing :) ) and they were SO amazing, they reshot my ENTIRE session for free. That is unheard of. Oh also, Rachel was so amazing, she set me up with a hair/make up professional who was outstanding (Ash and Co)

They are SO easy to work with.. Not pushy and do not make you "pose." They capture every moment that you could ever want.. more really. Best thing is that they are very go with the flow and VERY calming.. a great thing on your wedding day or around kiddies ! ;)

Absolutely amazing. My guests raved about them and now everyone wants to use them! I will definitely use them for the future and they are the only photographers I would even think of using!
