  I had the pleasure of working with Hyer Imaging for my wedding on May 20 at Saint John the Baptist Cathedral and the Thomas Bennett House. My husband, family, wedding party, and I loved working with Mr. and Mrs. Hyer. They were both very prompt, organized, creative, and hard working. It was very apparent to everyone that they love what they do and feel very comfortable, confident in their roles. Both my husband and I were very relaxed in front of the camera and had fun with Mr. Hyer during a private session around Charleston before heading to the reception. I had a conversation with them before our big day and had sent them photos of other weddings they had shot and photos of weddings I found on social media; I told them “I like these photos and would love to recreate them”. But instead of they encouraged us instead to be ourselves, relax, don’t overthink, and create our own unique shots. I really appreciated their honesty. I also really appreciated it when they told me to let them be creative, study the light, and shoot what they thought best represented the emotion in the room versus trying to recreate something that someone else shot. It was a sign of a very confident, capable team to let them take the reins behind the camera, and I know the shots they were able to capture will illustrate that.

  Wonderful photographers and such nice people! My husband and I loved working with Billy and Rachel Hyer for both our engagement photo session and our wedding day. They were easy going and helped us feel at ease (which can be hard when people are taking a million photos of you)! I will hire them again and again throughout my life when I need a photo shoot for anything! After the wedding day was over, they felt more like our friends than our photographers.

  Billy and Rachel are the best wedding photographers in Charleston! We used them for an engagement photo session, a bridal portrait session, and our wedding day. We wanted slightly artsy photos for the portrait sessions, and they definitely delivered with choice of backdrop, lighting, camera angles, and advice on posing. Having professional photos taken can be awkward and unnatural, but Billy and Rachel help make the couple feel relaxed and comfortable. And the photos look like they came out of a magazine! The Hyers were incredibly responsive and professional, and we cannot recommend them enough!

  I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the brilliant Hyer Images! We were recommended Hyer Images by our wedding planner and I'm so grateful that we were able to use them. We had an engagement session with Billy about a year before hand, and loved how the photos turned out. For the wedding, we booked both Billy & Rachel, which was well worth it. They're a great team (being married and all), so easy-going to work with on the day, and no shot was left out. We had only given them a single "must have" shot and they took care of the rest. It's incredible how they captured so much emotion in our wedding photos. We only wish we had booked them for the after party as well! They're worth every penny and more.

  My daughter was recently married at Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens near Charleston. Not a day has gone by since, that we haven't been able to re-live the joyful emotions and beauty of that day because of the amazing work by Hyer Images. I know we will enjoy the memories, embellished by the incredible images of that day, for years to come. It was a magical day, with every special moment captured with artistry, by these two very talented photographers. Billy & Rachel were wonderful to work with and incredibly warm, personable and flexible. My daughter has a bit of an aversion to having her picture taken, yet these two were so incredible at putting her and everyone else at ease, which comes through beautifully in the photographs. We had a few last minute changes, including adjusting our meet time at the venue and the actual ceremony location because of a thunderstorm. Hyer Images could not have been more accommodating. When you chose a photographer for this important of an event, you are really entrusting them to capture the people, the place and the feelings surrounding that moment in time. I cannot imagine that anyone could have provided a better experience or better results, than what we had in working with Billy & Rachael/Hyer Images. We are so grateful for their contributions to my daughter and son in law's perfect day!

  Billy and Rachel of Hyer Images are the absolute best! They were extremely responsive and helpful leading up to the big day. And on the day of the wedding, they were very professional but also super friendly and fun and made my husband and I and our family and friends feel at ease immediately. I definitely recommend them!

  ABSOLUTELY hands down THE BEST photographers! A husband and wife duo that bring magic to your day! They are a wonderful team that exudes love and passion.
  
  I have had portraits taken many times and with multiple photographers all over the country and Hyer Images stands out as number one! They have such an artistic eye .. beautiful!
  
  I did not like my hair/makeup for the first set of "Bridal Portraits" (a southern thing :) ) and they were SO amazing, they reshot my ENTIRE session for free. That is unheard of. Oh also, Rachel was so amazing, she set me up with a hair/make up professional who was outstanding (Ash and Co)
  
  They are SO easy to work with.. Not pushy and do not make you "pose." They capture every moment that you could ever want.. more really. Best thing is that they are very go with the flow and VERY calming.. a great thing on your wedding day or around kiddies ! ;)
  
  Absolutely amazing. My guests raved about them and now everyone wants to use them! I will definitely use them for the future and they are the only photographers I would even think of using!

  We couldn't be more thrilled with Hyer Images and our wedding photographs. Billy handled all of our pre-wedding arrangements and Rachel was with us at the Wentworth Mansion to artfully document our entire wedding day. I'd recommend Hyer Images to anyone hoping to capture the intimate, joyful moments on the happiest day they'll have, along with the mysterious and stately charm of Charleston itself. We'll cherish our gorgeous photographs from July 16th forever, and can't thank Rachel enough for her talent and professionalism.

  If I could rate higher than a 5 I would!!! This husband/wife team is phenomenal! Aside from feeling like "friends" thru the whole process, their artistry and imagery is just unparalleled. The images they created are just breath taking! They are quick to get images for you to see and are very accommodating and very reasonable for their services. Thanks Rachel and Billy

  Rachel and Billy are an amazing team that have a magical touch capturing the perfect photo! They are both so easy going and nice that it makes picture taking fun. I was blown away with the results and couldn't find a single bad photograph. Not only did they make my husband and I look terrific, but it was fun seeing all the great shots of our guests. I have gotten so many compliments from family and friends about how wonderful our pictures came out. Working with Hyer Images was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to any bride. Pictures are all you have left after the big day and I am so thankful to Rachel and Billy for making mine a beautiful memory.

  My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Billy and Rachel Hyer. They were amazing to work with and we felt so comfortable in front of the camera, which is a rarity for either my husband or I. Helping us feel comfortable was a big part of why we chose Hyer Images. From my first meeting with Billy, I could tell that it was a great fit. Stylistically, as well, I gravitated towards their vintage-y, ethereal aesthetic and so I was thrilled that we were able to book them for our wedding.
  
  On the day of, they were everywhere they needed to be without myself having to worry about them or give them direction. They captured so many amazing moments at our reception and we are forever grateful for the quality and beauty of their work.
  
  We received a preview slideshow a couple of weeks after the wedding and it was so gorgeous and just made us that much more excited about the final outcome. We watch that slideshow quite frequently even now! And then a few weeks after that, we received the final cuts of the pictures as a link and then in a separate package with a flash drive containing all of the pics (that package was so thoughtfully and beautifully packaged as well!).
  
  We are so, so happy with the pictures. When I look at them I feel like they were able to capture the best side of both my husband and I. They were able to do that thing that amazing photographers have the ability to do and that's the ability to capture more than what's on the surface. They find that moment and that feeling and that's what makes them the best at what they do.
  
  We had such a great experience with them and would highly recommend them to anyone!

  We are coming up on our one year anniversary and we absolutely love looking at the our wedding photos - the memories that Billy and Rachel captured remind us of our perfect day. These two are amazing to work with; so fun and relaxed. We are so not picture people, and somehow they managed to make us look good. :) Their style was exactly what we were looking for, and they put up with all of our families crazy photo requests. We would definitely recommend working with them.

  Picking a photographer was one of the top three hardest decisions of my wedding and I'm certain I picked the right photographers! Rachel and Billy are so easy to get along with and captured so many moments that I will forever cherish. As I went through my wedding photos, I loved EVERY SINGLE ONE of them!!!! I could not have been happier with my decision. I KNOW I picked the BEST! You guys are so awesome and talented. Thank you Billy & Rachel for perfectly capturing our wedding day!

They were one of our favorite vendors to work with - both professionally in terms of the beautiful photos we received, and personally, as they are such a sweet couple to work with. Since they flew up from Charleston, they spent practically the entire day with us, so we have so many great images to remember our day by. We were 'lucky' to have rain on our wedding day for what was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, and the Hyers were so great to suggest some rain options for pre & post ceremony pictures. There was a greenhouse on the venue's location that was absolutely perfect for bridal party shots, that we would have never known about if it weren't for the Hyers scouting it out! They do a great job editing to add a romantic touch to the pictures, and the candids are my favorites. We have had a crazy amount of guests say the wedding & photos are the most beautiful they have seen... Hyer Images is definitely the best out there!!

  I absolutely loved working with Hyer Images. I hired them to do my engagement photos, bridals, and wedding photos. I highly recommend doing the engagement photos because it is great way for you to let them know what pictures you like and which ones you don't. I loved working with Billy and Rachel because they were laid back and very professional. My husband and I were nervous to be in front of the camera and they helped us relax! The photos ended up being beautiful. They were able to capture all these great moments throughout the night. I was able to see how happy and how much fun our guests were having. I probably look through my wedding photos a couple of times a week because I love them so much.

  Hyer images did an amazing job of capturing our day. The pictures turned out just as we had hoped. The only issue that came up was rectified by Hyer images going above and beyond our original contract. About a month before our wedding, Billy called to inform us that Rachel would not be able to shoot the wedding with him, due to the recent birth of their child. However, he had a photographer friend who accompanied him on the day of our wedding. Billy still did all of the editing and everything looked amazing. We would definitely use Hyer Images again!

  We cannot recommend Hyer Images enough! We had such an amazing experience working with the two of them for both our engagement and wedding pictures. They were able to capture every moment in such a special way and for that we will be forever grateful. Many of our friends and guests of our wedding have reached out to us about how wonderful all of the pictures turned out. They made us feel so at ease and comfortable as we prepared for our wedding which meant the world to us!

  We want everyone to know what an incredible experience we had working with Billy and Rachel Hyer. From the second my wife and I met them, we felt so comfortable. The Hyers were extremely easy-going, responsive, and professional. The engagement photo session was very thorough, with Billy spending several hours taking our photos of us in Boone Hall. The final photos were gorgeous and breath-taking!!
  
  We couldn't wait for the wedding photos. During the wedding day, both Billy and Rachel relieved any nerves and anxiety we felt about the day. With great teamwork, they worked so efficiently and effortlessly with both bridal parties. The end-result was so amazing. We received two CD's worth of photos, and a surprise slideshow set to nostalgic music.
  
  We were so happy with the photos, that we have already enlarged several engagement photos and mounted them into beautiful canvas art (with their help, of course), and several wedding photos have been professionally enlarged and framed. We are in the process of working with on our family photo albums with the Hyers' help, and we cannot wait to see them!! We highly recommend the Hyers to anyone interested in high-quaility, spectacular, memorable photography, all at a reasonable price. Thanks to Billy and Rachel for doing a wonderful, awesome job!!!

Using Billy and Rachel as our photographers was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! Photography was a priority for me since that is all you have to keep from the day. We chose to use 2 photographers (Rachel and Billy) for 6 hours. The price was better than many other photographers we looked at and I liked the Hyer's style much better than others. Rachel and Billy were very responsive to what we wanted, took the family/wedding party pictures quickly but still got all of the pictures we wanted (which is hard considering it's like herding cats), and were friendly and positive the whole time. We also did "day after" photos which I highly recommend. Billy and Rachel really cared about us and making it a perfect and special day for everyone.   How do we even begin?! When my fiancé and I were first engaged, we sat down and listed our top 3 priorities, individually, to help us allocate our wedding budget across our different vendors. In my top three was photography. It was important to me that there be two photographers, preferably a couple, and that they really take the time to get to know us, understand what is "us" with the hopes of ending up with pictures that not only captured the day, but truly captured the ambiance of the day. I spoke to 13 different photography companies, constantly searching for the perfect fit. Due to holiday schedules and traveling all over, my fiancé and I Skyped with Billy and Rachel - and we immediately knew this was it. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined just how well the pictures would have turned out. They are creative, they listened to everything we wanted captured and went above and beyond. They arrived early, with great attitudes, and were most interested in capturing "us." We never felt like we were being staged. They let us be us, and they just captured it all. During the reception, it was amazing. They captured everything we had remembered, and more, yet they totally went unnoticed amongst the guest. Billy and Rachel were extremely responsive with all of our communications, and they had our pictures back to us in record time. We cannot express how much of an absolute dream they were to work with. We have seriously talked about giving them a call just to hang out the next time we are in Charleston. They are truly cool people! If you are looking for stunning photography that will capture your personalities with each shot, this is your team!

  My new husband and I had a truly wonderful experience with the Hyer Images team. Billy and Rachel were so amazing, professional, and easy to work with. The turnaround time for our photos was nothing short of incredible - I had full access to my bridal portraits just days after they were taken, and all of the wedding photos were complete less than two weeks after the event. The photos themselves are stunning, soft, and romantic. The Hyers made the actual taking of our wedding photos fun and laid back. I didn't even notice them taking pictures during the ceremony and reception, which allowed them to capture the moments of the evening in a beautifully candid way. Overall, our decision to book Hyer Images was one of the very best we made throughout the wedding process. Thanks for everything, Billy and Rachel!!
