My fiancé and I had the pleasure of meeting Brandon shortly after our engagement last October at a wedding expo in Alexandria. First impression when walking by his booth was the undeniable artistry. Beautiful aesthetic, reminiscent of something out of a vogue editorial. The movement he creates with the garment and deep contrast in colors are captivating. To our delight, we won a free engagement session with him which included a free print. We had a phone consult to iron out the details of when and where which he followed up with very detailed emails that included helpful hints on what to wear, time blocks, what to expect and pricing. The session itself was so much fun. Brandon was very professional but also relatable and did an incredible job with guidance, my fiancé absolutely loathes taking photographs. Our reveal session came a couple weeks later at which point we decided to move forward with one of Brandon’s packages which included a few digitals, prints, an acrylic block and the larger print we won as part of the raffle at the wedding expo. Brandon was very upfront with pricing. Though some may view said pricing as exorbitant, in this regard, you get what you pay for. That being said, Brandon DOES offer payment plans which I believe is generous considering some photographers aren’t as gracious. Ultimately, we did not feel pressured into purchasing a package from Brandon. It was the quality of work that won us over. It is understandable that cost play an integral part in making these types of decisions, especially in this economy, but understand that when you book Brandon, you are paying for more than just photographs. You are paying for a creative eye, breathtaking visuals, and an over all experience.

Brandon at Hunter Scott Imagery truly captured the essence of our love story through his lens. Right from the start, he impressed us with his professionalism and attentiveness to our vision. We were looking for more than just typical engagement and wedding photos; we wanted our pictures to be a true work of art, and that's exactly what Brandon delivered. His creativity and ability to understand what we wanted to convey to our loved ones set him apart.

Throughout the process, there were some neutral aspects we encountered. While the service provided was satisfactory overall, there were moments where we felt that a bit more proactive communication could have been beneficial. Despite this, Brandon's dedication to ensuring our satisfaction was evident, and we appreciated his willingness to accommodate our preferences.

Looking back, one negative aspect we could point out is that there were minor delays in receiving the final edited photos. However, Brandon handled our concerns professionally and made sure to deliver a final product that exceeded our expectations. We understand that perfection takes time, and the quality of the images was well worth the wait.

Overall, we are immensely grateful for the exceptional experience Hunter Scott Imagery provided. Brandon's talent and passion for his craft truly shine through in the stunning moments he captured for us. We are already looking forward to working with him again in the future for other special occasions. Thank you, Hunter Scott Imagery, for immortalizing our love so beautifully.

Hunter Scott Imagery made my wedding day photos an absolute dream come true. He and his team were very responsive with any questions and on the day of my wedding he was prompt and professional. The photos were even better than I could have imagined! I cannot wait to hire him for future photography needs.

We won a "free" engagement photo session at the DC bridal show. We were guaranteed a session and an 11x14" canvas of our choice. We were told that there was no obligation to buy. What's there to lose, right? We took over 80 photos during the session.

We then drove to the studio to view our photos. Once we were there, we were given these absorbent prices, and this was just for digital proofs. He wanted to charge over $1000 just for 5 proofs!! 5 out of 80 photos. On top of that, we were forced to make a decision to buy before we left, or we'd have no access to any of the proofs.

So, We initially thought about buying an engagement book, priced over $1600, and left $400 deposit. Then, he agreed to give us only 2 proofs, and initially, he sent the wrong one.

We really wanted the proofs, but told him that his prices were too excessive just for 5 prints, let alone all of them.

After that message, we never heard from him again. We never got our free print, which he promised in writing. I left repeated messages, and no response. I'm guessing because he's heard this complaint before. Luckily, there are apps to remove watermarks.

I do not recommend him at all. Total ripoff, overpriced, and unprofessional.

Choose Hunter Scott Imagery if you never want to receive your photos!

My fiancé and I won Hunter Scott’s Free Engagement Experience Giveaway at the DC Bridal Expo. The experience included a photoshoot and a canvas print of a photo of our choosing. Though he made it very clear that we didn’t have to purchase anything, we planned to after seeing the quality of the canvas print. Long story short, after driving over an hour to view the photos and after making further inquiries about when we’ll receive the canvas, he’s been completely unresponsive. Now we’re out $600 for hair, makeup, and outfits with nothing to show for it. To make matters worse, he’s using our photos for his marketing.

Moral of the story: Experience does not constitute professionalism. Don’t let his resume trap you into being a free model.

There are so many photographers in DC… find a different one.
