The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia is a full-service Newly Renovated intimate wedding venue and luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Philadelphia’s vibrant Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. This sophisticated site promises an unforgettable setting for your intimate wedding, engagement party, bridal shower, wedding ceremony or reception.
Our historic hotel was built in 1929 and lovingly brought back to life through a flawless and sustainable adaptive re-use renovation in 2009. The fusion of original art deco and cotemporary design elements throughout is visually alluring and our LEED Gold Certification ensures an eco-friendly affaire for any occasion. Our elevated spaces are filled with natural daylight and allow the enjoyment of the city’s beautiful evening-scopes providing the perfect backdrop for your celebration.
Palomar also offers room blocks for your out-of-town visitors (or simply for you and your bridal party to get ready at!) as well as valet parking services for hotel guests and local visitors. Each of our 230 guestrooms prove as comfortable as they are artful, with superb amenities and many with fabulous Philly skyline views. The bustling downtown hub is easily accessible and features high-end shopping, unique architecture, art galleries and innumerable restaurants.
Facilities and Capacity
Palomar Philadelphia enjoys 6,000 square feet of inimitable Newly Renovated event space. The Burnham Ballroom, our premier setting for intimate wedding celebrations, is located on the 25th floor of our tower and can 40 - 100 guests for a plated dinner celebration, you can host a cocktail reception in this space and our striking 24th floor for up to 250 guests. This penthouse-level ballroom features a refined palette of silver and steel tones, eleven windows throughout and it is crowned with a magnificent trio of contemporary chandeliers starring hundreds of light-reflecting crystal drops.
For more intimate gatherings before or after your wedding festivities, our 24th floor spaces or the Tyng Room, located on our 2nd floor are inviting spaces for up to 50 guests with the spirited city life as its background and soft seating elements to compliment your ideal set up.
Start with a whimsical outdoor garden ceremony defined by a sculpture fountain located just steps away in the John F. Collins Park or exchange vows in front of 100 of your closest friends and family members in our stunning, recently redesigned spaces.
The Hotel Palomar provides an exquisite culinary experience in partnership with our restaurant, Square 1682. Square 1682 is known for their scrumptious American food and drink which incorporate fresh and regional locally-sourced ingredients in each dish. Our experienced Catering team, supported by our executive chef, Mackenson Horebe, will be at hand to customize “bill of fare” that fits your wedding. Experienced wedding coordinators are on hand from throughout the planning process to help you decide on the details and vision for your big day and will be by your side when the time of your nuptials come.
Hotel Palomar offers offer both setup and clean-up of all event spaces. Couples will also have the option of using the hotel’s tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, barware and votive candles to make planning for your celebration much easier. Lighting and Audio equipment can be provided at an additional cost if needed.

From the first inquiry to the end of our wedding weekend stay, the staff at Hotel Palomar was accommodating, kind, and helpful. This boutique hotel simultaneously feels like home and like a luxurious indulgence! It is clean, well decorated, and unique! We celebrated our wedding ceremony this past weekend at Hotel Palomar and worked with Gary and Kito. They were a wonderful team, making sure our day went off without a hitch- and kept me out of my groom's sight! Our ceremony was intimate and charming, certainly due in part to the space. The ballroom is so pretty, and really can be transformed to fit any theme/ color scheme. Our vendors also worked directly with the hotel staff (usually Gary) and their communication was easy and productive.Sent on 08/28/2018
We also worked with David and Jessica for our room block. While only briefly working with Jessica, David was harassed with our many silly questions and was very helpful and responsive.
We are already planning to stay at Hotel Palomar to celebrate every anniversary, we even considered staying this coming weekend! Wonderful place, wonderful people... if you're looking for a little something extra in the heart of center city, this is the place! We received so many compliments and we can't wait to go back!!

We're already fans of Kimpton boutique hotels for their location, unique style, and extra amenities...but this venue was perfect for our small wedding of 60. We were really happy with the location and ballroom decor: the chandeliers and color scheme set a lovely scene.Sent on 12/13/2016
We were very happy to find a venue for everything, so that our out-of-town guests wouldn't have to worry about driving in the city or parking. Our guests were thrilled by the location and the FOOD! We also had a small morning-after brunch, at which the staff conveniently set up our leftover flowers and decor.
The front desk reception was very kind and helpful to our family staying in the hotel, and the serving staff took great care of us during the entire wedding. My dear cousin specifically complimented the older bartender for knowing and preparing her drink order as she came up to the bar.
Finally, Amanda was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process! My husband and I met with Amanda several times and each time she was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. By the date of our wedding, it felt like she knew us and our preferences...she had our drinks and appetizers set up in our room so that we could enjoy a few minutes of quiet before joining cocktail hour. She took care of so many details so that we could relax, enjoy our evening, and spend time with our guests.

Writing for Silver Sound DJs an endorsement for Hotel Palomar, I have had the experience of twice entertaining Hotel Palomar wedding receptions. This Hotel is very new and has a delightful modern style with a touch of the Art Deco style. The decorum and design is very sharp for a signature event, where you want to impress with very pleasant surroundings. The staff are friendly and helpful, they work in tandem towards a pleasing experience for the client and guests. I have also stayed at the Hotel as a guest, the Hotel rooms are of the highest quality, with super design and furnishings. I think this Hotel is one of Philadelphia's greatest secrets.
