An Exceptional Wedding Planned in Just 30 Days – Perfect Venue, Perfect Day!
We had our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel staff are true professionals, guiding us through every step of the planning process with care and expertise.
Our vision came to life perfectly—a stress-free, seamless wedding that stayed within our budget. We planned everything in just 30 days, and our coordinator, Erin, was instrumental in making it all happen. We’re deeply grateful for her support and attention to detail.
The event spaces are stunning, with elegant, updated interiors set in a historic building in the heart of the city. The hotel offers two unique venues on the 24th and 25th floors. The 24th floor is ideal for a cocktail reception, while the 25th floor serves as the main space for the ceremony and banquet. There’s also a charming library-themed photo zone on the 25th floor, perfect for capturing beautiful wedding photos.
Our wedding package included a DJ and a custom wedding cake, both of which exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the guests were happy, and the bar service was exceptional, with bartenders crafting any cocktail we requested.
The pricing is reasonable for Center City Philadelphia, offering excellent value for the quality of service provided. As a lovely bonus, the hotel included a spacious two-room suite for us, along with a complimentary treat of chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne.
We highly recommend Hotel Palomar Philadelphia for weddings. It’s a beautiful venue with outstanding service, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. -

Excellent Choice
The Kimpton checked all of our boxes and did not disappoint. Erin was our coordinator and she was wonderful to work with from the first time we reached out through our wedding day. Angela was also great the day of and we didn't feel like we had to worry about anything. Everyone was easy to work with, prompt, and patient in answering our million questions and there was no issue coordinating with other vendors.
We chose the Kimpton due to our smaller guest count (65 out of 85 people the day of) and for the size convenience of the location and I'd pick it again every time. The *only* thing I'd change is extending our cocktail hour a little bit, cause the elevators are slow and it takes time to get from the park to the 24th floor :).
We had our ceremony in John F Collins Park and the cocktail hour, reception, and after party inside the hotel. The entire day went completely smooth and everyone had a blast. We found the wedding package to be very reasonable, especially for the city location, and we were able to make a lot of customizations to suit our needs. We also chose to do our tasting just the two of us and had the bartender custom make our signature drinks which was an amazing experience and was even better on the wedding day. Also can't say enough good things about chef Patrick and the food--we had the duck as one of our entrees and I can't describe just how good it was.
We booked out the hotel bar for our after party which was icing on the cake. Everyone got in their comfy clothes and it was nice to be able to spend extra time with people we might have missed on the dance floor. The food & drinks there were top tier too.
I read a lot of reviews gushing about this place and I'm happy to add to them. We had a great wedding weekend and I'd highly recommend this venue.-

Perfect spot for a Philly wedding!
Could not recommend Hotel Palomar more. The venue was perfect for our small/mid size wedding. We had the ceremony & reception on the top floor with a cocktail hour in between just a floor below. Our guests were so happy to be able to be in the same place which allowed them some time to explore the city the first night.
The entire staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Honestly from our wedding coordinators to the servers, everyone helped make our day a blast. The top floor had perfect lighting for the ceremony and allowed for some phenomenal views during the cocktail hour and reception.
You also cannot beat the location. We had our groom’s dinner and after-party in a different location and both were easy walking distance from the hotel. You can’t go wrong with Hotel Palomar!

Awesome experience!
From planning our party to the day of, everything was made so easy for us! Erin was so helpful and responsive to setting up the party just how he wanted it. The day of the party, Angela worked along with us to make sure the night went as planned. The Burnham Ballroom is beautifully decorated and perfect with the dance floor! The hotel too was a beautiful and comfortable spot for our guests. Plan your party here! -

Best Day Ever
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia was absolutely wonderful for our wedding, and we are so pleased with how the day turned out. Our wedding day goal was to be fully present with each other and with those we love, which was made possible by the intimate and whimsical settings of John F. Collins Park and the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia and their staff. We were able to visit with each and every one of our guests and fully enjoy our time together and each space our celebration moved through without worrying about details and the flow of things. We absolutely loved the day felt it was a perfect reflection of all the things that we enjoy together. Erin and the entire Kimpton staff were thoughtful, professional, and paid close attention to detail, often going the extra mile without even being asked. Erin provided constant coordination and timely answers/solutions to questions, which helped the day go off without a hitch. I would highly recommend hosting your wedding at the Palomar if you are looking for a classy, unique, and beautiful city venue. Our guests raved about the location and ease of getting around to all the city has to offer. We found this venue to have an incredible value for the cost, and our guests won't stop talking about how much they loved it. We can't wait to return to the Palomar Philadelphia and will likely seek out other Kimptons across the country, too!-

An elegant but affordable experience!
We wholeheartedly recommend hosting your wedding at the Palomar Hotel! Our experience was nothing short of luxurious and elegant, all at an affordable cost.
We hosted an intimate wedding with about 60 guests, and the Palomar’s ballroom was the perfect size—cozy enough to feel personal yet spacious enough to include a dance floor. We opted for the plated dinner option and transformed the library into a dessert room, which was an absolute hit! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious food, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail.
The ballroom itself is understated yet elegant, offering a versatile backdrop that can be enhanced with personal touches. The hotel also accommodated our need for Halal food, which was a key factor in our decision. After searching extensively for a venue that could meet this requirement while still offering an elegant setting and a dance floor, we found the Palomar to be unmatched—both in value and quality. We feel so fortunate to have celebrated our wedding there!
Beyond the ballroom, the hotel is stunning and offers gorgeous backdrops for couple and family portraits. With the right photographer, your wedding photos will be breathtaking.
The highlight of our experience, however, was working with Erin Schwamb. She is an exceptional coordinator—organized, professional, kind, and detail-oriented. Erin ensured every request, no matter how small, was addressed, and she maintained clear communication throughout our nearly year-long planning process, primarily over email. She was transparent about what the hotel could and couldn’t accommodate, making the entire process seamless. On the wedding day, Erin and her team were incredible, serving as a flawless liaison between us, the staff, and our other vendors. Thanks to them, the day flowed smoothly, and we felt completely stress-free.
We kept our decorations simple with flower centerpieces, a Jenga guestbook, a few framed pictures, and table signs. The staff set everything up beautifully and worked closely with our DJ and photographer to ensure every detail was perfect. Thanks to their expertise, we didn’t need to hire an additional coordinator.
Erin even coordinated with the staff at John F. Collins Park, where we held our ceremony. Her efforts ensured that everything came together effortlessly.
If you’re considering the Palomar for your wedding, don’t hesitate—book now! It was truly the best decision we made for our special day.-

Amazing experience from start to finish!!!
My husband and I had our wedding reception and hotel block at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar on 9/1 and it was truly the best day. We had a hard time finding a venue that would meet minimum spend requirements as we had a small guest list of 65. The packages offered here are not only incredibly reasonable for Philadelphia but also all-inclusive and customizable. Erin the Director was not only with us for every step of the planning process but also was an invaluable in helping with day-of coordination. We booked the presidential suite for the weekend which was wonderful and doubled as our getting-ready space. We had our ceremony at JF Collins park, there were some weather concerns but Erin was so on top of it ensuring we could wait until wedding day to make a decision with a good rain plan, I am SO happy she guided me on that because we ended up having our dream outdoor ceremony. The Palomar has an amazing chef in-house who created a perfect menu for us. The food was incredible, the best I have ever had a wedding. The service was perfect, the banquet manager was there for anything we needed (including securing my very complex bustle while I was enjoying cocktail hour) and every detail was taken care of. All of our guests who stayed at the hotel and had so many amazing things to say about how wonderful the food and service was not only at the wedding itself but during their entire stay, from consigliere to valet to front desk to housekeeping. And I can't say enough how amazing it was to literally not worry about a single thing all day.-

Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia Wedding Venue Review
We were very pleased to have our wedding reception at Kimpton Palomar in Philadelphia. We loved the venue and layout with its 1920s charm. We received great reviews from our guests about the full bar! Erin S. - director of catering - was very helpful with the planning process, the day of, and after. We would definitely recommend this venue. -

Intimate, Elegant Wedding
My daughter (who co-signs this review) and her fiancé had their May 4, 2024 wedding at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia, which included the bridal ready room, on-site ceremony, cocktail party and reception, and day-after brunch. We have nothing but the best reviews for the experience. Erin was excellent: she provided clear and timely information every step of the way; worked to help achieve my daughter’s vision for a warm and intimate wedding for 90; and became a true partner in creating the wedding of her dreams. The food was excellent, including the vegetarian and non-alcohol options. Every member of the staff was stellar. They worked to ensure all our guests were happy. Simply the best!-

Super cool
Hote Palomar was a great pick for our room block and getting ready rooms. Location is central to all areas of the city and the room provided for the bridal party was spacious and had great service from the banquet staff. Plus, lots of really cool places around the hotel for pictures! It rained the morning/early afternoon the day of our wedding and we fortunately had great spots around the hotel to supplement photos. -

Great Hotel Option for a Philly Wedding!
We stayed at the Hotel Palomar for our wedding in November and can’t recommend it enough!
We booked our hotel block here for our guests. We had to add more rooms a few times throughout the year and they always were able to accommodate the changes for us!
Both my husband and I got ready at the hotel - I was in the Tyng Room and he was in the Presidential Suite. Both rooms were amazing and great for photographs! We ordered food and drinks for breakfast/lunch and everything was delivered promptly and was so delicious! They made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole process.
We also hosted our after party at the hotel bar after the reception. We had a blast and felt taken care of the whole night.
We received so many compliments from our guests on how nice the hotel was for everyone. We really can’t recommend the Hotel Palomar enough and are so excited to return to celebrate our First Anniversary next year! -

The best team for Welcome Party, Room Block, and Brunch
We held our Wedding Welcome Party, Room block, and Brunch at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. All I can say is WOW! The staff is incredible, the venue was clean, centrally located, and food was amazing.
It was perfect for our getting ready photos!
The rooms were so clean and spacious. We stayed at the presidential suite which was so nice to have as a central point for the wedding.
1) Lauren, Catering Sales Manager, went above and beyond for planning our welcome party and brunch. We could have have pulled off the food and party without her!
2) Jill, Catering Coordinator, made our room block experience seamless. She made sure we were up to date as well as coordinated all the bonuses we got from our wedding weekend as well as food and drinks from the weekend
3)Savannah, Conference Services Manager, was the best overall contact for the entire weekend. She was there whenever we had questions and so helpful inside
4) Jenna from the events/catering team managed her team for the welcome party and brunch seamlessly! She made sure our guest were comfortable, food was out correctly, and the set up was perfect
Also, so happy you are dog friendly!
Thank you again! It was amazing -

A Philadelphia Gem!
Our 80 guest wedding was initially difficult to find a venue because most locations either wanted a 125+ minimum or were too small for our guest count on a Saturday. We were very happy to find the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia offered the perfect location and size for our 80ish guest wedding. Erin, the event manager, was fantastic. She was on top of all the details, communicative, knowledgeable, and proactive. She also had a nice list of vendors to help with other aspects of the wedding day. You couldn't be in better hands and she will do everything possible to make sure your wedding goes as planned. We did not hire a wedding coordinator and while we still had to find individual vendors, Erin made the venue side run so smoothly, none was needed. We also appreciated that she is upfront and detailed in what the hotel can and can't do plus what is allowed in the space. She avoided the bad habit many have of trying to oversell and then underdeliver. The food was delicious and every guest commented on how wonderfully everything tasted and many said it was the best food they had ever had at an event. The menu was recently revamped by Chef Ronde and Chef Moe. This occurred after we signed our contract and we were initially concerned it would be a problem. Not only was the new menu a nice improvement, the hotel made it clear they would honor the old menu items if we choose since that was what we originally agreed to. We were both impressed that there wasn't a big drop-off between the quality at the tasting versus the actual wedding. Savannah, who manages room blocks, was extremely helpful and was able to make some complicated but needed reservation adjustments with ease. The location was well appointed, clean, and filled with friendly and helpful staff. We were particularly impressed with Erin's assistant manager Jenna, who kept the wedding on track once it started, and Jason, who single handedly kept the most important person (the bride) comfortable and very happy getting ready on the big day. We highly recommend opting for the custom couples drink(s). The head bartender Alex was great when working with us on creating custom cocktails. It was tremendous fun work with him hands on during our mixology session. The location in Center City is very convenient for site seeing and near numerous restaurants/shops. Negatives included parking, some of the room sizes, and the wait times for elevators. The hotel is located on a small and very congested road with limited curb space. Parking is offsite only and this makes for a very difficult loading area. Also you should tell your guests to arrive early as there are only so many valets to take the cars to the lot. The building was converted to a hotel as it was previously home to regional office of the American Architectural Association. This means a limited elevator bank and some guest rooms that are on the small side. These were minor issues for us but take it into account so you aren't surprised. -

Intimate but Elegant venue
We had our wedding at the Kimpton Palomar Hotel in March 2023 and I cannot imagine ever having our wedding anywhere else. This venue offers all inclusive wedding packages which made everything so much easier for us. The prices were really reasonable compared to many other venues of similar quality.
Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless. Our coordinator Erin Schwab was there with us every step of the way. Couldn’t have done it without her. The service staff were wonderful and attentive. With their help to orchestrate the flow of the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, I had no care in the world on the day of and that speaks a lot for being the bride.
The food and open bar were awesome! I had plenty of compliments about our wedding and the venue even now. I highly recommend this venue for weddings for the overall quality and service.-

Hotel Palomar for the win!
My husband and I can’t find all the ways to describe the incredible experience working with Philadelphia Kimpton Hotel Palomar. We used Hotel Palomar for our hotel wedding block, rehearsal dinner, after party, and post wedding brunch. Erin Schwab, Kelly Gibson, and Savannah Schultz all played pivotal roles with hotel block sales, catering, and event space bookings. They answered what felt like hundreds of questions throughout the whole process. It made for one of the best hospitality experiences. Hotel Palomar was amazingly accommodating to my husband and I from check in to check out. The front desk crew including, Mollie Cohen, bell staff, and valets did a dynamite job welcoming us and our bridal party and helping out all of guests. They made sure everyone involved with our wedding received a gift bag we put together and had all the information for wedding shuttle services, after party, and brunch. All the staff were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. My husband and I hosted an after party at the attached restaurant, Square 1682. The after party was epic with wall to wall guests and delicious food. The post wedding brunch the next morning was just as awesome with the fabulous breakfast buffet and beautiful views of the city from the atop the hotel. Added bonus: daily wine hour! Not to mention, Hotel Palomar is pet friendly! We HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Philadelphia Kimpton Hotel Palomar for accommodations for all occasions.

So gald we chose the Kimpton hOTEL Palomar
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia was one of our chosen guest hotels. The rooms were not huge, but they are up- to- date and nicely furnished and we were proud to host our guests there; as an added bonus they serve wine in the lobby 5–6 pm each day. The front desk service was exceptional and very responsive. The doormen and valets were also great ( request your car early, they do get very busy at times!) I worked with Erin to create the perfect customized post-wedding breakfast for our guests, and it was served in their gorgeous 25th floor setting.( The 24th floor is spectacular, also). Again, the service was flawless for the catering. Hint: We were allowed to bring our flowers from the wedding to decorate the tables: security let us in the night before, and that added a lot to the ambience. -

Our perfect venue
Although I am currently based in the UK, I'm originally from Pennsylvania. When we decided to hold our wedding in Philadelphia, I spent many months researching venues, and eventually became discouraged because it seemed that having a wedding in the city was going to end up being out of budget for us. I'd originally dismissed hotel venues because I don't like stuffy, formal ballrooms and with a smaller guest list, I didn't think we'd have enough guests to fill one anyway. When I saw photos of the ballroom at the Palomar, I was impressed by the modern design. It's not at all 'stuffy' or traditional-looking, and as a bonus holds a maximum of around 100 people for dinner. The hotel itself is also a beautiful building located right in Center City. Not only is it extremely affordable for the location, but all the pricing is inclusive of taxes, gratuities and fees, so you know up front what you're paying - a refreshing change from most wedding venues. Erin, the catering director, was with us every step of the way and could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Through 18 months or so of emails and questions, she was never impatient or unkind, and always responded within a day or so, even when she undoubtedly was busy with many other events. Due to a combination of the pandemic and being in another country, we were unable to tour the venue in person before signing the contract. No matter - Erin offered us a virtual tour and invited my aunt and uncle to tour in our place in-person. When we could only do the food tasting during a flying visit to the city last November, she made sure it would fit around our schedule despite tastings not usually being offered at the time we were available. She was not just a venue contact but a source of support and an all-around coordinator who made us feel she truly wanted our day to be perfect. On the day of our wedding, I met Erin in person, along with the banquet manager, Jenna. They were both as friendly as I'd imagined and were on hand for anything we needed. I never felt that I had to worry about anything as it was all ticking away behind the scenes. I never felt stressed or overwhelmed on the day because they literally took care of everything for me. I must also mention Jason (I believe this was his name, apologies if I've got it wrong!) who was my server in the bridal get-ready room. His job was to serve the breakfast I'd ordered, but he went above and beyond his duties. He sat with me whenever I was alone and made sure I wasn't nervous, made sure I was eating, offered to run out and get anything I needed - in fact, he did run out to buy my husband-to-be cologne when he realised he'd forgotten his, and would not accept payment when he delivered it to him. I couldn't believe someone who was essentially a stranger could be so kind and attentive to us. In fact, all of the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. In terms of the reception, the food - from the cocktail hour canapes to the dinner - was amazing, and we had so many compliments on everything, from the meals to the signature cocktails. I truly cannot fault any part of our experience and all of our guests have said the same. The Palomar could charge triple for the service they provide, but for the cost, it is an unbelievable value and an incredible experience. We had the best day of our lives to date and it is largely down to the dedicated service of everyone at the Palomar. -

Beautiful Venue At An Affordable Price
My husband and I are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. We decided to scale down our wedding and have a ceremony with only our closet family and friends due to COVID (46 guests). However, I did not want to sacrifice on elegance and quality. We visited several venues and were shocked at the exorbitant cost or minimum head count requirements (given COVID) for many venues. But when I saw pictures of the Kimpton Palomar and saw how reasonable their wedding packages were, I knew we had found our place. This feeling was confirmed once we saw how beautiful the hotel is in person and met with Erin, their Director of Catering. Erin was always friendly, super responsive and patient with all of my questions, open to all of my ideas, and provided guidance/recommendations. I also appreciated her honesty when she felt something would not work. She promised that she would ensure that everything would run as smoothly as possible on our wedding day, and she delivered. She worked behind the scenes with the rest of the hotel staff to ensure everyone knew who we were upon arrival, all of our guest rooms were prepared, and the bellman staff had enough hands on deck to assist with our luggage and wedding materials. On the day of our wedding, we were running late from our photoshoot and were set to arrive back at the hotel while our guests were arriving. I was stressed about being late and walking through the lobby where guests could see me prior to the ceremony. Erin jumped into action and coordinated with the hotel staff and my wedding planner to quietly escort me back into the hotel through the service entrance. She met me at a hidden door with a calming smile and assured me that everything would be ok as she whisked me back to the beautiful presidential suite to freshen up prior to the ceremony. The set up and décor for both the cocktail hour and reception were complete according to my requests. With the exception of the entrée chicken being slightly dry, all of the food at the cocktail hour and reception were excellent and tasty. The bartender was outstanding. He was super friendly with all of my guests, made specialty drinks that everyone loved based on his conversations with them, and ensured that me and my husband always had a drink in our hands – even if he had to personally bring it to us. We received many compliments from our guests regarding the venue, food, and bartender, with some stating that it was the nicest wedding they had ever attended. I cannot say enough good things about the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. If you are looking for a beautiful venue for a smaller wedding at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this hotel. -

Magical Wedding Weekend at the Palomar!
It is difficult to summarize our entire wedding experience in just a few short notes, but we can confidently state we had such a phenomenal weekend celebrating our love at the Hotel Palomar! We had looked at dozens of venues in the city and once we met with Erin at the Palomar we were certain this was the location and venue to exceed all of our expectations. And the Palomar certainly delivered! We loved the intimate atmosphere of the Burnham Ballroom especially that it was located on the 25th floor. Most venues we looked at had lower level ballrooms and this space really embraced the urban wedding vibe. The AIA room was also perfect for pictures! The arrangement that the hotel had with Philly to utilize the John F. Collins Park for our ceremony could not have been more perfect! The location to the hotel and park was perfect and resonated so nicely with our guests and family! It is a little hidden gem in the city just steps away from the hotel lobby! As we got closer to our big day, Erin remained in close contact and was able to quickly and swiftly address any of our last-minute concerns or questions. Erin was always so resourceful and willing to go out of her way to accommodate any and all requests we sent her way. We truly felt like the hotel made us a priority including our beloved guests. We found the Palomar pricing to be very reasonable especially in comparison to the other venues near and within the Philly area. We were able to include a post wedding brunch Sunday morning, which was great for our out of town guests that stayed overnight prior to their departures. The food and beverages including the wedding cake from Velvet Sky Bakery were always stellar along with the service! We encourage anyone considering an urban wedding to check out what the Palomar has to offer. They really made our wedding day so memorable and special.-

A Magical Night
First let me say, the staff was amazing!! I received multiple calls from my guests wanting to know where we got the staff from because they were so amazing. Special thanks to Erin who helped us organize and plan everything, she responded to questions quickly and gave sound advice when needed. Our event came out more perfect than i could have ever imagined…a night i will never forget-

Winter Wonderland Dream Wedding
My husband and I have always enjoyed visiting Philadelphia. Even prior to staying at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, we decided to host our wedding and reception in their ballroom after getting engaged in 2019, due to the scenery and location alone. We started working with Erin Schwamb upon booking for the wedding, and cannot say enough good things about her and the establishment.
We had originally planned on getting married in December of 2020 but due to the pandemic, as one might expect, we pushed our wedding date out to December of 2021. From the beginning of the process, through the reorganization and renegotiation of the contract and until the very end, Erin was incredibly helpful, supportive and friendly. The hotel was clear in their timeline, kept communication open during the delay and their staff was always very helpful.
As we live out of town, we had to work through phone, email and zoom calls with Erin. She also worked very well with our wedding planner and all of our vendors to ensure that the day went off without a hitch. Our friends and family all came in from various locations and thought the hotel was beautiful and comfortable; all enjoyed their stay.
My husband and I will definitely visit Philly again as it is one of our favorite cities, and when we do we will be sure to stay with this establishment again. I would highly recommend working with Erin Schwamb at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar if looking for an event space in the beautiful Rittenhouse Square area! -

OUTSTANDING venue and service
I could not recommend the Palomar or Erin Schwamb more. Planning my wedding through covid was an absolute breeze when it could have been a nightmare. Erin and her team were incredibly responsive, helpful, and an absolute delight to work with. If we had a question or concern, Erin was quick to respond and help problem solve (including sewing me into my dress day of when my clasp broke!).
We were provided crystal clear contracts and layouts to approve of and they were followed with an incredible attention to detail. Additionally, we found the value of the Palomar to be exceptional and the options for food and bar packages were the best of any venue we looked at. The space was absolutely beautiful and the the way cocktail hour was laid out was exceptionally unique and lovely in my opinion.
If you're considering a smaller wedding in Philadelphia, The Kimpton Palomar should be at the top of your list. -

Lovely small wedding venue with top-notch staff
This venue is an ideal location, size, and provides a lovely atmosphere for a small intimate wedding. We had a 40 person wedding weekend at Hotel Palomar in late August where we hosted a Friday night cocktail hour and dinner in the Tyng room for a Welcome Party, followed by the wedding/reception in the ballroom next day, and ended with a brunch on Sunday. All events came out wonderfully and our guests couldn't have asked for more. Erin Schwamb is a joy to work with during the planning phase and day-of coordinating of events. We planned this wedding weekend in 4 months. Her professionalism, knowledge, flexibility and great communication make planning seamless. She goes above and beyond for her brides. The close relationship with vendors and packages are also attractive for brides who may not have a lot of time to shop around. I was very happy with all vendors chosen through the hotel - DJ, officiant, musician, florist. The food was excellent for all of our events. What really shined through also was the banquet staff led by Jenna. The service was exceptional. I have been to a lot of weddings and this team is superior. The team is professional, accommodating, detail oriented and my guests were certainly taken care of. Everyone had great things to say after the weekend was over. I was extremely pleased with how the weekend went. Would highly recommend having your wedding here. It's a great value for what you get. -

As close to perfect as it gets
There is only one word to describe our experience at the Palomar…perfect. I have not one single complaint regarding our wedding. Erin was amazing she listened to our needs and came up with ideas and solutions to meet them. She emailed and communicated the whole time advising us on every step of the process. We decided we were going to get married in 62 days and Erin got right to work. The menu was amazing and the food was delicious! The package was amazing and every professional was just as amazing the florist, the DJ, the officiant, the cake was just amazing. Our guess loved the food, which for a wedding is hard but the food was amazing, the bartender made our entire night from creating custom drinks to keeping the alcohol flowing, the cake was so good, the DJ was spot on mixing just the right music and keeping the vibe going the whole night. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. I wish I could get married every year. Erin and her team at the Palomar took all the headache out the process. It was a one stop wedding shop. All we did was show up with a Photographer. Erin and her team took care of all the rest. Planning a wedding is tough and during a pandemic even worst but somehow Erin and her amazing team did it and in 62 days! Most importantly as a LGBTQ couple Erin made us feel welcomed and accepted she treated us with respect and every person and vendor also treated us with the up most respect. I couldn’t of asked for anything else. -

Beautiful venue and excellent service!
I absolutely loved having my wedding reception at the Palomar. I was a Covid bride with a small group, and Erin did an incredible job making me feel like my event was as big and important as any other bride. The way she displayed my decor was so beautiful, and the food and service was amazing. I also loved having our first look photos on the library!
ThNk you so so much to Erin and team for making our day so special! -

Great intimate wedding venue
We just had our 55 person wedding here this past weekend. We already knew the food was amazing, but our guests raved about its quality and also the level of service experienced while celebrating with us. Erin (catering manager) and her team went above and beyond to make our event memorable and as stress-free as possible. 100% would book here again! -

Loved our beautiful wedding at the Hotel Palomar
Erin Schwamb and the Hotel Palomar staff were a delight to work with. Erin helped my fiancé and I curate a beautiful day for our wedding on May 22, 2021. The hotel is stunning with its decadent decor and we especially loved that the Palomar offers wedding packages. The wedding package included everything we needed. I personally loved that I did not have to seek out additional vendors. I would absolutely recommend having your wedding at the Hotel Palomar, you will not be disappointed! -

Best Day Ever!
Entire experience was seamless. Booking my event was fun and no detail was missed. Up until the day of my wedding I had constant communication with Lauren and I knew I was in good hands.
Day of my wedding the team was FANTASTIC and everything went flawlessly. Ballroom is gorgeous, the set up elegant, the service and food was top notch. My guests still talk about how gorgeous the hotel is and how good the food was.
I did not have to worry about a thing as Lauren and the banquet team were on top of everything.
Thank you for making my wedding so incredibly special and helping to create memories we will never forget -

My wedding day
Having my wedding at Kimpton Hotel Palomar was the best decision I have made. All the staff taking care of us was wonderful. Erin, our event planner made the whole experience even better than what I had imagined. I had a small wedding but the experience that Erin created for us did not make the wedding feel small at all. I was thankful to have had my wedding at Hotel Palomar and so thankful for Erin. -

From the first inquiry to the end of our wedding weekend stay, the staff at Hotel Palomar was accommodating, kind, and helpful. This boutique hotel simultaneously feels like home and like a luxurious indulgence! It is clean, well decorated, and unique! We celebrated our wedding ceremony this past weekend at Hotel Palomar and worked with Gary and Kito. They were a wonderful team, making sure our day went off without a hitch- and kept me out of my groom's sight! Our ceremony was intimate and charming, certainly due in part to the space. The ballroom is so pretty, and really can be transformed to fit any theme/ color scheme. Our vendors also worked directly with the hotel staff (usually Gary) and their communication was easy and productive.
We also worked with David and Jessica for our room block. While only briefly working with Jessica, David was harassed with our many silly questions and was very helpful and responsive.
We are already planning to stay at Hotel Palomar to celebrate every anniversary, we even considered staying this coming weekend! Wonderful place, wonderful people... if you're looking for a little something extra in the heart of center city, this is the place! We received so many compliments and we can't wait to go back!! -

We're already fans of Kimpton boutique hotels for their location, unique style, and extra amenities...but this venue was perfect for our small wedding of 60. We were really happy with the location and ballroom decor: the chandeliers and color scheme set a lovely scene.
We were very happy to find a venue for everything, so that our out-of-town guests wouldn't have to worry about driving in the city or parking. Our guests were thrilled by the location and the FOOD! We also had a small morning-after brunch, at which the staff conveniently set up our leftover flowers and decor.
The front desk reception was very kind and helpful to our family staying in the hotel, and the serving staff took great care of us during the entire wedding. My dear cousin specifically complimented the older bartender for knowing and preparing her drink order as she came up to the bar.
Finally, Amanda was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process! My husband and I met with Amanda several times and each time she was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. By the date of our wedding, it felt like she knew us and our preferences...she had our drinks and appetizers set up in our room so that we could enjoy a few minutes of quiet before joining cocktail hour. She took care of so many details so that we could relax, enjoy our evening, and spend time with our guests. -

The Palomar Hotel has the best catering staff and chef personnel I have come across in a long time. I planned 2 parties a formal Rehearsal Dinner and a Brunch long distance. Amy Binder was the contact person for all the initial planning and she was fantastic. We made menu changes, and service changes and through it all she handled everything beautifully. Jenna Wirth the Banquet Manager and her staff were fantastic at both events. We received compliments from all the guests on how wonderful everything was. Chef Caitlin and her staff really really shined for those events. The food was excellent. We made menu changes, and had people with special food requests which were taken care of smoothly and professionally. We had both parties in the Burnham Ballroom, which is beautiful. I would highly recommend this location. If I could plan an event this spectacular long distance that's saying something. -

A superb location! The Hotel Palomar is well located for central Philadelphia. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and the design is super cool and hip. All these aspects played a part in why we selected the hotel, but ALSO working with a fantastic Director of Catering was important. Erin looked after us so well. She was professional, caring, understanding and accommodating. She offered great advice and referred vendors. Overall, the hotel executed the Wedding to our heats content. I work in hotels, so know the background and behind the scenes activity - all perfect. The food was excellent, the space beautiful and service was good. A number of our guests also stayed at the hotel along with us. Everyone commented on how well they were looked after and how engaged the staff were about our event. Very personal service and attention. -

I can't say enough about out experience with Erin and the Hotel Palomar. As a former wedding professional I had very high standards for my own wedding and Palomar exceeded them all. As soon and I met Erin I knew that I had found someone to listen to me and to execute my vision without my having to do it myself.
We wanted a completely custom event and Erin and her team jumped at the chance to be creative and come up with something that would leave our guests wowed.
Chef Caitlin Mateo worked with me to create an amazing tasting menu that reflected the style of event I wanted. Her menu was beyond superb and executed perfectly. All of our guests raved about eat bite they took.
If you're looking for a unique affair in the heart of the city, please consider Hotel Palomar. You won't be disappointed. -

After visiting several hotels, we knew that Hotel Palomar was the perfect haven for our out of town family, friends, and the bridal party! During the year leading up to my daughters wedding, Hotel Palomar became our home as I frequently traveled across country to be by my daughters side during the planning. We were always welcomed with a smile & contacted to inquire of any needs. The staff was attentive and professional. The rooms were always clean & inviting. Our wedding guests were able to gather in the lounge area during the cocktail hour each evening....and get a restful sleep after the weekend celebrations! The presidential suite was spacious, had amazing city views, and became a perfect space for my daughter and her attendants to prepare for her wedding. My daughter and her husband enjoyed their wedding night in the beautiful presidential suite. Before departing for home, a delicious post wedding brunch was enjoyed by everyone. Thank You Hotel Palomar! -

We had our wedding reception in Hotel Palomar's ballroom, and cocktail hour on the 24th floor. The building is simply lovely and really fit into the classy Art Deco vibe we were going for. We had an overall amazing experience having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia. My guests did not stop raving about the food! the space! the service! and I am still overjoyed about our experience 2 1/5 months later. The food is delicious, not standard wedding fare, amazing dining experience. They took care of us and our guests. The petite ballroom space was perfect for our 60 guests, comfortable and did not feel too big or too small. Finished with a super brunch the next morning and the whole event became a perfect downtown destination weekend wedding. I can sincerely recommend having an event at the Hotel Palomar. -

I chose the Hotel Palomar because of their exemplary customer service. I was not disappointed. My wedding was absolutely wonderful and the food was outstanding! As a foodie, I particularly loved that the restaurant chef prepared all the meals and the food was locally sourced. Fabulous!
I gave 4 stars for value because there are a few other non-hotel venues that include some of the wedding extras (e.g. lighting, tables, linens etc.) in a comparably priced wedding package. However, I wouldn't have changed a thing. It was perfect :) -

Our Favorite Day (at Hotel Palomar)!
We had the most magical day for our wedding at the Palomar! The entire staff and team is amazing. Erin did such a wonderful job of listening, communicating with us and all the vendors, and bringing everything together flawlessly. I have some limited wedding planning experience as well as event planning experience -- so I do understand the details of what it takes to pull these important days together. Erin knows how to produce beautiful, unforgettable events and take the stress and headache out of the process which is honestly the most important part to me.
Our guests have shared with us that they loved the food, the specialty cocktails were a hit, and the servers/bartenders were really great at what they did and fun.
The space: The AIA office was the perfect place for photos before and after the ceremony and the ballroom was beautiful and elegant day and night. The cocktail lounge area offers a very vibrant and eclectic vibe, too!
The convenience of staying at the hotel and having everything in one place is highly recommended as well. We opted for the Presidential Suite which was perfect for getting ready. The accommodations are super comfortable and well equipped! All of our guests really liked their rooms and the hotel as a whole as well.
There were such great touches along the way, too - Erin sent us a handwritten note and left champagne and treats on our wedding night and our tasting felt like a real treat and was something memorable and fun for us to do.
Thank you, Hotel Palomar, for making the wedding weekend so much fun for us and such an unforgettable FEELING. Keep doing what you are doing! -

Wonderful High End Center City Location at an Affordable Price
My finace and I were shocked when we started looking into wedding venue prices, this industry really had blown up and everyone is trying to get a slice of the pie. That's why were relieved to find the Kimpton Palomar. They were up front with their cost, there were no hidden venue fees or service fees and they had tiered pricing so we could chose an option that fit within our budget. Plus taxes, service and tipping were included in their prices!
The venue was also exactly what we were looking for, a center city ball room with beautiful views of the city and a luxury feel. The cocktail hour was help on the 24th floor where guest mixed an mingled, we didn't even have to decorate the space because of the amazing views! The reception was on the 25th floor, the space itself is beautiful with pretty chandeliers and modern fixtures for the carpeting and window curtains. (I believe they renovated in the past recently). We just added some up lighting. I should note that we did go out and get our own linens, and chairs, and table decorations. Though the Kimpton does provide these things they are pretty standard white linens with conference chairs and votive candles. If we add in the cost of purchasing our own, the space was still very affordable!!!
We had 52 guests and the space was perfect. We had looked at other venues that could hold 200 people and were nervous that going with that type of space would make our party feel small. The Kimpton on the other hand was the perfect size, we were able to invite a select number of people and still feel like we had a fun and full wedding reception.
We worked with Erin the events coordinator and she was marvelous. Even before we booked the space she was so patient with all of our questions and emails. After we booked she continued to keep us updated and was so easy to contact and organize with. Erin was so upfront and pleasant to work with which was a huge selling point, especially while planning a covid wedding (city restrictions prevented from us even having a reception until 6 weeks before our date!) It would have been rare for Erin to take more than 24hrs to email us back, she was so responsive. My only critique was that we found out a little indirectly that she would be away our wedding weekend. Though this made me nervous the banquet coordinator Jenna stepped in and was wonderful. She had all the information, and worked so well day of with our day of coordinator, the whole event when off without a hitch!
The food from Square 1682 was delicious, Chef Max was great and worked so well with mine (vegetarian) and my guests diet/allergy restrictions. The Kimpton also had a partnership with a bakery and event rental company so we didn't have to do outside hunting around for our rental chairs (the kimpton provides, we just wanted to upgrade) or our wedding cake, not only did they coordinate pick up and drop off but we only had to worry about paying the Kimpton as they packaged it into their price.
I could not recommend the Kimpton any more, it was a truly beautiful space, with wonderful employees and staff, they made our wedding dreams come true, even during a pandemic.-

2-29-20 Leap Day Wedding!
My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar on 2-29-20. After nearly giving up on having the wedding of our dreams due to our smaller budget and particular venue accommodation requirements, my mom stumbled upon the Palomar through this site! We reached out via email, and Erin, our lovely coordinator, got back to us almost immediately. When we expressed our budget and concerns, Erin really listened, and then offered and explained to us the wedding packages the Palomar offers. They have several packages that offer “all inclusive” features such as 2-3 course meals, coffee and tea stations, open bar and sodas, and other necessary items (chairs, tables, linens, flatware and barware). These packages were exactly what we were looking for to stick around our budget, and to top everything off, the fee per person includes service fees/gratuity. Erin was totally transparent with every conversation we had, which is SO refreshing in the wedding industry – there were no hidden costs which was very much appreciated. She was there to answer all of my questions (I probably had sent her about a hundred emails) and accommodated us when needed.
Not only was Erin fantastic, but so was the entire staff and crew that took care of us on our actual wedding night! They were nothing short of professional and kind, offering some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They were quick and polite, making the night so much fun for us and our guests. My husband and I utilized two floors for our wedding – the 25th floor for our ceremony and reception, and the 24th floor for cocktail hour. They staff did an incredible job setting up and decorating the spaces for us, making it even more beautiful than I had originally envisioned. While we were all enjoying cocktail hour on the 24th floor, they quickly flipped the ceremony space with our reception setup/décor, which turned out amazing! I really can’t praise them enough.
As far as the space itself goes, it is the perfect blend of Rittenhouse bougie with eclectic art deco style. The ballroom on the 25th floor (indoor ceremony and reception space) has been recently remodeled, and features soft gray tones with amazing chandeliers that line the center of the room. You also get an incredible (almost 360 degrees) view of center city with all the super cool skyscrapers and lights. It’s so elegant but also really modern and fun, offering crazy nighttime views! The 24th floor is equally as cool, but with a more funky vibe. It definitely has that art deco, eclectic feel that much of the hotel has. We were able to use all three rooms on this floor that was perfect for us to mix and mingle with our guests before heading upstairs for dinner and dancing.
I could write a lot more, but all-in-all, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar is a beautiful venue with amazing accommodations and offerings. You really can’t go wrong by booking through them. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!!!

Wow! I just had to write a review and sing the praises of Jim Weber and his team at Hotel Palomar who gave my guests a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is very chic, in an unstuffy way. I was absolutely blown away at the menu tasting (included in your package - for the couple and two additional guests). Jim walked us through our possible choices, and even had several helpful suggestions for the decor and timing. They even designed a vegan meal choice that was delicious and not just a plate of steamed veggies.
On the weekend of the wedding, the staff was absolutely amazing. They really went out of their way to make us and our guests feel welcome and we felt like celebrities since it seemed that every employee of Palomar seemed to know who we are. This is where Hotel Palomar shines - they truly understand the importance of customer service and that little something extra. Plus, it's steps from Rittenhouse Park for great photos.
Wedding day was flawless! Throughout the morning, we were checked on often. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, and I was never bothered with any of the details of the day, leaving me to relax and enjoy. There is a private room right by the ballroom where they set up champagne, water, and food so we could have a serene moment alone just after saying "I do" and get a bite to eat so we could spend cocktail hour mingling with our guests. The ballroom is gorgeous (the chandeliers look amazing in photos) and is the perfect size for a small wedding (no more than 80 I think). The food was perfection and that's coming from a true foodie! The star of the show was definitely our bartender - so energetic, entertaining and made sure no one's drink was empty, even going as far as to hunt me down on the dance floor to fill up my glass. My guests had a blast!
Highly recommend the private brunch for your guests the next day - it was really nice.
I highly recommend Hotel Palomar if you want a classy but fun wedding. -

Great Accommodations and venue
My daughter was recently married in Philadelphia and over 85% of the guest were from out of town. I worked with the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia to secure a block of rooms as well as banquet facilities for both a Welcome Reception and a Farewell Brunch for over 9 months. I am a very demanding customer, but Erin and Savannah always treated me with respect. They were quick to respond to my multiple emails and phone calls over those months and always quickly corrected any discrepancies that may have occurred. Guest stays and activities spanned 4 days. The entire hotel staff from the doorman to the wait staff were very accommodating, polite, and cheerful. We provided welcome bags for our guests, and they were efficiently delivered to each guest’s room. The presidential suite was perfect for the bridal party events throughout the weekend. I can’t say enough to relay how every staff member at the hotel made everyone’s stay pleasant and enjoyable. The wedding venue was at the horticultural center, so I contracted party buses to transport the guest. The coordination to get large buses on 17th street loaded and unloaded seemed effortless. Also, the hotel is centrally located to tourist spots and great restaurants so it was a perfect spot for the guest during their down time. I would highly recommend this hotel not only for wedding booking for also for short stays in town. -

Beautiful intimate wedding during an unprecedented time time.
I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything went as our process for planning the wedding started in February of 2021 in the middle of a pandemic. Erin was honest, encouraging and extremely organized. She kept us updated and never gave us time to feel overly concerned about what MIGHT happen. As the time drew near, Erin was on top of things, sharing options but not being pushy! The classy, intimate wedding that we dreamed of during an unpredictable time came became a beautiful reality. High praise to Erin and the Kimpton Hotel ! -

Wedding Room Block & Getting Ready Rooms
We chose Hotel Palomar as our only room block for our wedding. Communication was generally prompt and became better closer to the event. We worked with Lauren Smith for catering in our getting ready room who was very helpful and then Jill and later Savannah regarding our room block and logistics. Savannah was wonderful, accommodating, and a good communicator. We booked both the getting ready room (abel) as well as the presidential suite for the stay. The getting ready room was great for hair and make up. The presidential suite was clean and large but the bed was fairly hard and uncomfortable and there was a frequent whistling noise that sounded like air in the pipes you could easily hear it seemed whenever someone in the hotel used water. They were unfortunately unable to address this during our stay so would inquire about it before booking as it was pretty difficult to sleep through
Overall wound recommend - they were friendly, accommodating and space is beautiful - Thank you! -
