Hi, I’m Shayna (but feel free to call me Frank if that’s easier)! I’m a wedding and elopement photographer based in Oakland, California, and I specialize in capturing beautiful moments with a blend of digital and film photography.

My journey into photography began at a young age, surrounded by family who lived and breathed the craft. Both my Great-Grandpa and Grandpa were passionate film fanatics, with their own studios and darkrooms where they developed everything by hand. Their love for photography became my obsession, and I knew early on that I’d be telling stories through the lens for the rest of my life.

Over the years, I’ve explored every corner of the photography world, but my heart has always gravitated toward working with couples. To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than capturing the raw, real moments of two people in love. My style is rooted in photojournalism—focused on authentic, emotion-filled moments—but with a good dose of direction to ensure you feel confident and comfortable throughout the day. Think of it as a mix of candid, natural moments with a dash of editorial flair.
