Sunset Event Space is centrally located in St. Louis, Missouri, just a quick drive from any direction or attraction you can think of! Located between the Holiday Inn off of the famous Route 66, and award winning Twisted Tree Steakhouse, Sunset Event Space is in the heart of it all!


Newly renovated and owned by award-winning Twisted Tree Steakhouse, Sunset Event Space provides modernized charm we’re delighted to share with you. Our 5,840 sf ballroom is able to welcome 325 of your love ones for your reception. Our versatile concourse space features a large open floor plan highlighted by natural lighting, and is the perfect spot to host ceremonies and welcome receptions. Additional complimentary private rooms can serve a variety of necessities throughout the big day.

At Sunset Event Space, we strive to make wedding planning easy as an all-inclusive venue. We offer full audio visual capabilities, staging, dance floor, tables, chairs, linens, tableware, barware, service staff, day of coordinators, and in-house lodging. This was the best wedding reception site. They took care of everything, they were great to work with, the DJ and baker that they contract with are phenomenal. The food was fantastic, the room was decorated exactly like I wanted, the staff was great and everyone had the best time. I didn't hear anyone say anything negative and I had nothing but the best experience!

Nicollette was easy to work with, very responsive to all my emails and questions, It was a beautiful reception. There was only one small glitch, one table short, and Nicollette rectified the situation immediately and even gave me a discount for the hassal!! The food was fabulous, from the shrimp to our nacho bar, and everything inbetween. I received many, many compliments on the entire evening.

This was the best wedding reception site. We had a ton of people come from out of town which made this decision easy.They took care of everything, they were great to work with, the DJ and baker that they contract with are phenomenal. The food was fantastic, the room was decorated exactly like I wanted, the staff was great and everyone had the best time. I didn't hear anyone say anything negative and I had nothing but the best experience!

This was an excellent value! So much included in the package which made planning so much easier!!!! Both cake and DJ were included and we were happy with both vendors included! Food was great and it was a wonderful space to throw a huge party which is what we wanted! Super convienent for guest to utlize hotel rooms after wedding, and we loved that we just had to go up elvator to our suite after the night was over! Service and staff were wonderful and made it a stress free preparation and event! Great venue and great package at a reasonable price!

I would have given 5 star review because the wedding ceremony and reception turned out perfect. But during the planning I feel there should have been more communication and advice. I have never planned a wedding and was not sure about how the wedding rehearsal went and when I brought it up it turned into another unexpected expense. Yes that is something small because in the end everything was amazing. I just think more communication and professional insight would be great for future brides.

We couldn't have been happier with our reception venue. For everything that was included with our wedding package, we could not have found a better value for what was included for us and our guests. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, throughout the planning process and especially on the day of the wedding. The event staff went above and beyond to make sure the guests had a great time and that the bride and groom were top priority.

The only downside was that the wedding coordinator we had worked with for almost a year apparently quit the week of our wedding, and we didn't find out until we arrived. It would've been nice to know this a day or so in advance, just because she was our primary contact. I will say that the hotel did an excellent job in making sure everything went off without a hitch, even though the person that planned it wasn't there.

Other than that, the newly renovated space is BEAUTIFUL, and much more neutral and modern than the way the ballroom looked when we first toured. The food was also excellent--much better than typical St. Louis wedding fare I've had elsewhere. I'd highly recommend this to any brides and grooms that are searching!

We were very pleased with the Holiday Inn-Viking. One of our main objectives was to ensure our guests would all enjoy themselves and have fun and that was accomplished. It was very convenient for our out of town guests to stay at the hotel and it's location is not too far from the airport. Our cake and DJ vendors were included in the per person rate easing the wedding planning process.
