The Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins welcomes wedding parties to enjoy a mountain environment that blends rustic elements with modern care and convenience.
Originally built in 1907 and updated in 2003, the main lodge provides classic ambiance with modern amenities in recently updated rooms. As a AAA Diamond Member, the property has the ability to accommodate up to 108 guests overnight, housed in 18 private cabins and in historic lodge rooms. The lodge interior highlights the original oversized natural stone fireplace and lodgepole pine architecture for a classic log cabin feel in the warm, intimate space.
Outside, the Pavilion sits on an open stretch of lawn, with open sides and covered top to create a versatile open air venue. Space is available to set up tents in the back of the property, which borders the Flathead National Forest adjacent to our resident quadruped, Star the Llama.
Scenic photo opportunities abound throughout the grounds with a secluded beaver pond just steps behind the property in the National Forest, and wooded vistas making stunning backdrops for portraits.
Each member of our outstanding staff strives to go above and beyond to create the perfect special day for you and your guests, with one-of-a-kind Montana charm and hospitality.
Miles of trails for hiking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling lie in our backyard, with the scenic beauty in the National Forest and nearby Glacier National Park offering opportunities for fishing, hunting, and exploring. Charming towns of Kalispell, Whitefish and Bigfork feature boutiques and antique shops to browse.
We look forward to welcoming you and your guests for an unforgettable occasion celebrating your special day!

We had our entire wedding at the lodge - ceremony, reception and rehersal dinner/lodging for the weekend.Sent on 08/11/2015
Everyone there was super attentative, we changed our minds multiple times and we were happy to accomodate. The grounds crew and cleaning staff were super helpful in letting us set up the wedding tent, providing us with tools (weed wacker, shovel etc.) to set up our stuff out by the beaver pond. They even helped set up and take down some of the decorations.
The site was perfect for our wedding size (80ppl), allowing everyone to sleep on site and the cafe makes amazing cappucinos ;)
highly reccommended for a weekend away, or reception etc.
