Sage Lodge is a breathtaking wedding and special events venue nestled in the heart of Pray, Montana. Its natural beauty creates a romantic and serene backdrop for an unforgettable celebration. Our venue combines majestic landscapes with resort amenities to bring you and your guests the ultimate getaway experience.
Facilities and Capacity:
Sage Lodge features 34 guestrooms in the main Lodge plus four standalone Ranch Houses. Each Ranch House includes four bedrooms, sleeping up to 16 guests, a full kitchen, dining area, and charming living room. Our most spacious indoor event space, the Yellowstone Room, offers scenic views through expansive windows overlooking Paradise Valley and cathedral-style ceilings for a lofty open-air feel. This room suits any theme, from a rustic celebration to an elegant black-tie affair.
If a quintessential outdoor Montana experience is what you desire, Sage Lodge offers two outdoor ceremony spaces. The Yellowstone Lawn is adjacent to the Yellowstone Room, with views of the Absaroka Mountains and Yellowstone River for magical ceremonies. While the Wedding Field is a spacious and iconic event location, featuring Emigrant Peak as a jaw-dropping backdrop for photoshoots. The lawns on the property may also be transformed into a private event space for your outdoor reception, cocktail hour, or dining experience. Our smaller event spaces, such as the Private Dining Room and Library, are great for elopements, rehearsal dinners, or intimate family affairs.

Regardless of which Montana season you choose to celebrate, Sage Lodge and the surrounding Yellowstone area offer something for every sense of adventure. You may relax and unwind in our full-service luxury spa or savor Montana-inspired dining in the Fireside Room. Your loved ones may also enjoy the 1,200 acres on the property by hiking, biking, wildlife watching, fly fishing, and so much more. Summer Wedding at Sage Lodge
We wanted our entire group to be able to stay in one place and between the lodge rooms and ranch houses on site, they were able to accommodate our entire party. The grounds are beautiful and there are a number of activities for guests to take part in right from the lodge (biking, hiking, fishing, hot tobs, full service spa, etc.).
The lodge wasn't officially open when we started our planning so communication was not great at the beginning but they have hired new event staff who are working hard to make the planning experience easier. During the wedding weekend all the Sage staff was very accommodating and helpful. If I could do it all over again, we would definitely choose Sage Lodge for our wedding celebration!

The picturesque surroundings, with lush greenery and a stunning view, provided a breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The venue's charm and natural beauty required minimal additional decoration, which was a huge plus for our budget and the environment.
The venue staff was exceptional. They were attentive, responsive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring our wedding day went smoothly. They worked closely with us in the planning process, accommodating our specific requests and helping us navigate any challenges that arose.
One of the standout features of the venue was its flexibility. We had the freedom to personalize every aspect of our celebration, from the layout of the reception area to the choice of decor. This flexibility allowed us to create a wedding that was uniquely "us."
Logistics were handled seamlessly, from parking arrangements to guest transportation. The venue's facilities were well-maintained and provided all the amenities we needed. It was evident that the staff took pride in keeping the venue in top condition.
What truly made our wedding venue special was the atmosphere it created. It had an undeniable charm and a sense of tranquility that put everyone at ease. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the choice of venue, and many said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever attended.
