Stunning Venue spot!

The venue had unbelievable views, and a house owner that was receptive and great in communication! I was able to host an incredibly intimate wedding for family, with all of us able to stay in the house comfortably. Even during a hurricane the venue provided a great place to hunker down and enjoy Netflix and relaxing before our big day. Despite not being able to use the outdoor amenities, and even in a tropical storm downpour, the venue provided a beautiful wedding spot. Truly grateful for such a beautiful home existing! The tree out back is a picture’esk space and I’m so glad my forever memory was made their! Also, the photo opportunities on the property are unbelievable with the right photography vision!

Family Reunion

We booked this venue for a family reunion and had a wonderful time. The pool and hot tub overlooking the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the lawn games, and spending time together in all the different areas on the property. It truly is stunning. There is so much attention to detail in all the decor throughout the home. We enjoyed our time here and will book it yearly for future family reunions.

beautiful location w/ great views

Everything was so beautiful, we always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding and the view of the lake is perfect for photos.
It was a huge plus that they already had yard games like bocce ball and putting greens setup!

Beautiful, intimate wedding venue

We wanted an intimate wedding where family could all be together and this was the perfect place! About 20 of us stayed in the house and it was very sweet to all be together. There’s a big oak tree that we got married under with a view of the water and it was so beautiful!

Beautiful views

The place was absolutely perfect. Our extended family was able to stay on site and that made it really special. The views are awesome, and it was nice being this close to the airport For everyone traveling. It was an amazing way to tie the knot.

Overall a great venue - If you are a casual couple

This is such a cool estate and provided an overall great backdrop for our wedding weekend. We were a casual but fun all weekend wedding and I would give this place a solid 3.5 out of 5. Huge potential but mismanaged.

Overall, my guests loved it and the photos will be incredible. The vendors were easily able to access the property and there was plenty of parking. The pool was nice. It was a weekend full of love and fun but my group/family WORKED to make it perfect.

A few key issues:
-The pool was NOT clean. We worked all weekend skimming the pool, adding water to the hot tub, cleaning the pool filters because that area was so unkempt. I understand it happens but we quite literally saw the pool guy standing around on arrival and leaving within about 20 minutes. We went down to look immediately after his departure and it was still awful.
-The grill area was DISGUSTING. old food and trash in the cabinets and an awful sewage smell near the outdoor bathroom.
-We saw multiple huge rats in the outdoor shed that we used to store a few pieces of additional furniture. Understandable but still gross.
-We invited 20 friends and family to stay (this is why we picked this place!!) and there were not nearly enough towels, hand towels, blankets on property to accommodate a group size that they are advertising. We went out to buy hand towels and throw blankets.
-the refrigerators took the entire first day of check in to get cold. Obviously having a wedding this had us very panicked. Not sure why this is the case but it was frustrating.
- there was a broken mirror in the speakeasy and the foot of one of the beds was literally completely broken and my poor friends had to sleep at an awful angle. Like foot of the bed was on the floor and the head area was still lifted. How can you expect someone to sleep like that? The attention to detail is lacking.
-overall estate is very unkempt with spider webs, dirty windows, excessive leaves and debris at the front door. It’s clear that the cleaner focuses exclusively on the main floor and bedrooms. I understand it’s a big place and would require a rigorous cleaning schedule but it needs love.
-probably should just avoid the dock area in general, it’s super unsafe and difficult to walk on

If this were strictly an AIRBNB/VRBO for a weekend family reunion/vacation/etc. that would be okay. However, the additional fee you pay to host a wedding you would think some of these issues would be handled. If they know a wedding is coming perhaps some of that additional fee can be used to make sure the venue is up to par for the most important day of someone’s life. If you aren’t able to do that, maybe it’s better to not market this as a wedding venue.

Had to cancel wedding at this venue as the property was not maintained properly (the lawn in particular)

8 months prior to my wedding I saw photos of the lawn of this venue showing missing grass and dirt in the ceremony area, the property owner would not remedy my concerns this would be fixed by my wedding (just saying he'll plant more seeds). I'd look somewhere else as I was out my deposit and had to scramble to find a new venue last minute.
