The Historic Callahan House and Garden is a historic wedding venue situated in Longmont, Colorado. This mansion dates back to the year 1938 when Thomas and Alice Callahan generously gifted this home to the city of Longmont. Couples today can enjoy this Victorian-style home and its lovely manicured gardens during their special celebration of love.
Facilities and Capacity
At the Historic Callahan House and Garden, couples and their guests will be surrounded by rich, vintage touches. Inside the home, distinct features - such as detailed woodwork found throughout the rooms - will lend a warm and cozy feel. The woodwork is found in many of the rooms, such as the parlor, music room, and dining room. If you prefer an outdoor wedding setting, the Italian garden provides European charm and an intimate gathering space for you and up to 150 of your loved ones. With its shade trees and perennial flowerbeds, you and your guests will be able to relax and breathe in the fresh air while enjoying a rich, nature-filled space. For an extra twinkle of romance, the estate's fountain can be lit up as well. Often, couples will choose to enjoy their ceremony in the garden during the warmer months, while utilizing the elegant interior for the colder months. During these colder seasons, duos and up to 45 of their guests can be accommodated in a seated style in the interior event space. If the wedding party prefers a private spot to prepare in, a get-ready suite can be utilized by these individuals.
The team at the Historic Callahan House and Garden can provide couples with event planning assistance to make sure their wedding day runs smoothly. Not only can they assist with the ceremony, but they are also willing to assist with the bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, and reception. To offer further assistance to couples, the team can take care of setup and cleanup on their special day. Event rental assistance, as well as outside vendor assistance, can be provided. To add final touches to your celebrations, decorations and rental items can be supplied by the venue. These include the following:
- Audio equipment
- Tables and chairs
- Dance floor

This is one venue I know very well from both sides of the camera! My wife and I had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at Callahan House. It is a beautiful Victorian home in Longmont. The property is beautiful and the staff fantastic. As a photographer, I have had the pleasure of shooting multiple weddings at Callahan and love it from the camera's side as well. Make sure to grab some shots at the fountain and the staircase, they are beautiful!
When I know my wedding is at the Callahan House I am very pleased. I know the bride and groom will be well taking care of. Their special wants of the day will be met. All their needs taken care of. It is a joy working there.
