The Historic Callahan House and Garden is a historic wedding venue in Longmont, Colorado. This mansion was built in 1892 and dates back to 1938 when Thomas and Alice Callahan generously gifted it to the city of Longmont. Couples today can enjoy this Victorian-style home and its lovely manicured gardens during their special celebration of love.
Facilities and Capacity
ARich vintage touches will surround couples and their guests. At the Historic Callahan House and Garden, Inside the home, distinct features - such as detailed woodwork throughout the rooms - lend a warm and cozy feel. The woodwork is found in many rooms, such as the parlor, music room, and dining room. If you prefer an outdoor wedding setting, the Italian garden provides European charm and an intimate gathering space for up to 100 loved ones. With its shade trees and perennial flowerbeds, you and your guests can relax and breathe in the fresh air while enjoying a rich, nature-filled space. The estate's fountain is lighted at night for an extra twinkle of romance. Often, couples will enjoy their ceremony in the garden during the warmer months while utilizing the elegant interior for the colder months. During these colder seasons, duos and up to 32 of their guests can be accommodated in a seated style in the interior event space. If the wedding party prefers a private spot to prepare in, these individuals can utilize a get-ready suite.

Wonderful wedding experience
We had our wedding at the Callahan House in June 2025. It was a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. We picked the venue in early November 2023 and were able to take tours throughout the year as we planned. The grounds were beautiful, with soft grass and the fountain running throughout the night. There was ample space for us and our 50 guests, with plenty of room for yard games and dancing. Guests were able to sit inside if they wanted to. Brittaney was great to work with and ensured our experience went smoothly. The Callahan House was an affordable and beautiful venue; we received compliments on the choice throughout the night and truly enjoyed the gardens ourselves.

A Fairytale Venue, Rain or Shine
We cannot express how perfect the Callahan House was as a venue for our 10-year wedding anniversary and vow renewal! From start to finish, it was absolutely beautiful and exceeded every expectation we had.
We had a couple of light drizzles during the event, but the staff jumped into action immediately, so the celebration never skipped a beat. Thanks to their attentiveness, we were able to stay outside for the entire event and never felt uncomfortable for a moment. We're still elated thinking about how beautifully everything came together.
A huge part of that success was Brittaney, who was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. When we learned there was a high chance of rain, she helped us strategize and came up with several backup options, all while being thoughtful and understanding of our budget and vision. Her flexibility and care took so much stress off our shoulders.
Beyond the excellent service, the venue itself is stunning — having access to both the gorgeous garden and the charming Callahan House gave us the best of both worlds. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how magical it felt.
We can't recommend the Callahan House enough for any event. It's truly a special place with a team that goes above and beyond to make your day unforgettable!

Best Venue Ever

Our lovely family reunion
Kathy Korpela prepared and suggested for me the things I needed to think about for our family reunion with ages 1 to 89. The evening was perfect with gardens and games, an open house for looking out over the yard and exploring. Dinner was easy and informal and comfortable with helpers ready but not obtrusive. It was an extraordinary evening.

50th Anniversary
We used the Callahan House 50th Wedding Anniversary on August 14th. The garden was a beautiful setting for our celebration and the staff was attentive and helpful. We felt safe hosting a party since we were able to have all of the tables and food outside.

Stunning Gardens and Experienced Staff!!
BEAUTIFUL property and COMPLETE service. Kathy and her experienced staff were so helpful in making our wedding day perfect. They were communicative, prompt and most importantly, thought of details we ourselves overlooked! They were so dedicated to our wedding that everything went on without a hitch! This was especially helpful as we didn't hire a wedding coordinator. The gardens were breathtaking for all our guests and they enjoyed exploring the historical asepcts of the house. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful it was a month later. The recommended catering service was wonderful. They worked together with the Callahan House to provide for every need imaginable. We loved everything about our wedding day, thanks to the Callahan House and their wonderful staff!!

This is one venue I know very well from both sides of the camera! My wife and I had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at Callahan House. It is a beautiful Victorian home in Longmont. The property is beautiful and the staff fantastic. As a photographer, I have had the pleasure of shooting multiple weddings at Callahan and love it from the camera's side as well. Make sure to grab some shots at the fountain and the staircase, they are beautiful!
When I know my wedding is at the Callahan House I am very pleased. I know the bride and groom will be well taking care of. Their special wants of the day will be met. All their needs taken care of. It is a joy working there.
