Beautiful Venue & Location

We loved Baldwin Hall on our very first visit. We were so pleased with our experience and the lovely backdrop the venue provided for our ceremony and reception. Thank you so much!

Amazing DIY Venue

I got married here on April 6, 2019 and couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding venue. Our ceremony was in the garden and our reception was inside the hall. It was extremely reasonably priced for a 7 am - 1 am rental period, and Annie was super helpful and easy to work with. We absolutely loved our wedding. The venue is DIY friendly and you could pick your own caterer or cater yourself if you wanted. They have all the tables and chairs you need for 150 guests and under, a bridal room and a commercial kitchen. Would highly recommend to future brides!

Great Venue to have a wedding on a small budget. We had an out door tent wedding in the garden and we held our reception inside the hall. Awesome venue will recommend this small venue to other brides.

This place is amazing if you are trying to do a wedding on a small budget. Even if not, it's a wonderful location! We got married Oct. 2013. The place was only $1,000 for the entire day: 7 am - 1 am...so you can have tons of time to set up yourself and not spend any extra for extra hours. The hall itself is charming and historic - it was originally built as a church but now is owned by a nonprofit whose mission is to maintain it. It's used for community events during the week and is rented out for weddings etc on weekends. Hardwood floors, huge, tall windows, a stage and balcony. Also a basement - great if you have childcare. The hall had plenty of room for our 75-person wedding (I think you can get up to 125 seated (?) although then you'd have a tiny dance floor). They have chairs and tables included in the rental - round and long, so you have your pick. The chairs are not the most gorgeous, but we used them - and you can obviously rent your own if you want. The manager, Annie, is so easy to work with. She was super organized and always there to answer my questions. She always got back to me right away, and she knew all the ways that other couples have decorated or set up the hall. There's a great nook off from the stage area to have the bar and the balcony was perfect for setting up the speakers. The entry way has a row of hooks that we used to hang pictures of our loved ones who have passed away. We used the stage for the buffet. There is a large warming kitchen so you can bring in any caterer you want. The property is slightly wooded and green and there's an old schoolhouse in the back - so it's great for outdoor photos. Since it was chilly we had our ceremony in the schoolhouse (that was family only, so we could all fit). But you could have an outdoor ceremony. There's also an amazing coffee shop down the road - great stop for when you pick up or return the key...Bean Rush. We loved having our wedding here!

This was the perfect setting to our wedding, especially for the price. Everyone loved it.

The folk who run beautiful Baldwin hall, really came through for us. Our date co-incided with hurricane Isobel. It was in the lurch until the last minute whether or not any of our venue's would be functioning in the wake of the devestation. Water had flooded the downtown area and we had to cancel our rehearsal dinner at a restaurant without electricity and move it to another last minute spot. Baldwin hall worked hard and until the last minute to provide us with excellent service, handholding at no extra charge (-:

At Baldwin Hall, the hall rental is for 24 hours. You can practically do whatever you want with those 24 hours. arrangements are extremely flexible. I really enjoyed the fact that the building was historic, and had a wood floor great for dancing! You can use any vendors you chose....providedc a great deal of freedom, an dis also a great value for the price!

I am a Millersville native and Baldwin Hall is a local institution, so I have been to a plethora of events there -- from weddings to wine & cheese parties to craft fairs -- but I have never seen it more beautiful as I did on my wedding day. Annie Medford really is great to work with and the value of renting the facilities is unmatched. You can pick your own vendors and have access to the property from 7 am that day of your event until 1-2 am the following day. All in all, the facilities were somewhat clean. If you walked around barefoot, you would be blessed with black feet, but nothing looked disgusting. We held our ceremony on the steps of the schoolhouse, and beyond the traffic from the road adjacent, it was perfect. Annie even opened the Schoolhouse of us to take photos in. If you want an intimate, hometown wedding, this is the place to come.
