COVID-safe, Extraordinary & Electrifying Wedding of Our Dreams
I am one of the lucky brides who did not have to postpone due to COVID. Lisandra Dammerman (THE QUEEN COORDINATOR!!) fought tooth and nail to ensure we were still able to conduct the wedding of our dreams. We had a few hiccups along the way, but she was able to navigate us out of them and deliver the best welcome party and wedding we could have ever imagined.
For all you brides who are planning a wedding at this time, I cannot recommend The Hilton Aruba enough. Our 50 guests felt safe traveling (everyone had to get a PCR test within 72 hours as required by Aruba law!) and the Hilton staff was very respectful of space and wore proper PPE equipment.
I would go as far as to say don't wait another year and just get it done ASAP :) The beaches and restaurants on the island are fairly empty still and all tourist have to be COVID tested which is more than can be said for most wedding destinations in the USA.
The staff at The Hilton are top notch. In our opinion, they are the best on the Island- even more so than The Ritz. Steve at the pool bar was a crowd favorite and his wife Sue Ann in the Hilton spa gives incredible massages. Everyone at the front desk- led by Nelson- are absolutely incredible.
The bartenders at The Mira Solo bar rock and make awesome drinks... we had our welcome white party there the evening before the wedding and saw the most beautiful sunset through the palms. Crooze photography (Marc and his son Quinton) shot our wedding welcome party as well as reception. I am so happy we did the welcome party vs. something like "trash the dress" because now we are going to have more photos of our guests. Quinton's attention to detail is impeccable- he was constantly pointing out things like "turn this way, fix your hair, etc"- we wanted somebody who did natural light vs. those weird filters that some photographers use so we are happy we went with Crooze.
Lisa worked with the bar on a signature cocktail for the welcome party called "Franna Banana" and we also booked a mashedpotato bar (crowd favorite!) Our guests continued to party at the bar even after the welcome shindig because there was a musician who started to play after our event was over as well as beautifully lit fire pints, and the bartenders were very attentive to everyone!
Lisa recommended JenniVe (@jennive68 IG) for hair and makeup- I absolutely adored Jennifer. She did an amazing job with the half up half down style that I was looking for and my makeup didn't look too intense but perfectly natural. She was able to do a trial run the day prior for the welcome party as well.
Our florals were done by Shars Flowers and they made an INCREDIBLE flower arch for the wedding ceremony and dropdead gorgeous centerpieces. All in all, there was nothing we would have changed. This hotel is the perfect for a destination wedding. More than half of our guests hadn't been to Aruba before and all sang praises to the country and the hotel... many already made plans to come back!
Why do a one day event when you can have a whole weekend (or week, since the room rates with the block are so good!) of fun in the sun under the palapas with all your close friends and family?!

We love this resort!
We booked the Hilton to host our guest for our wedding at Tiera Del Sol, but due to COVID-19 we had to cancel. The Hilton was amazing and took care of us literally the whole process of planning our wedding to the very end (when we had to cancel). We are so thankful for them and Nayla for being so responsive and on top of things. As a destination bride and groom it can be really stressful planning the wedding, but they were so great and helpful.
Ps. The hotel is AMAZING! If you haven't stayed here you MUST! It is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are so cute and the restaurants are delicious. Plus the beach is pristine!!! I would highly recommend hosting your wedding or having your guests stay at the Hilton in Aruba!

Great experience all around
Lisa and Nayla, at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resorts and Casino, are a great team! We reached out to all the high rise hotels and the Renaissance. The Hilton was the first of the venue's to respond, and throughout, Lisa and Nayla were consistently attentive. We had 70 guests and everyone we talked to said it was the best wedding they have ever been to.
Lisa was the lead and handled all of the communication. She gave us a few options for bands, DJ's, Hair and makeup, photographers and videographers. We were so happy with all of our choices! The flowers were through a vendor used by the Hilton and they did everything I wanted. They used the picture I sent them, along with descriptions of the flowers we wanted and they made it look beautiful!
The best thing we did for ourselves, was create a working document with all the aspects of the wedding on it. It kept things organized, and made communication very easy. We worked back and forth with the specifics and it worked out great.
The venue was perfect. We had our wedding and cocktail hour on the beach (with the sun setting), and the reception was on the pool deck. They set it up beautifully. We gave Lisa a few items to make it a little more personal, and she did exactly what would make it special! She brought the flowers for our hair to our room, pinned all the boutonnières on the men and ring bearer, made sure everything went smoothly, started on time, and was our biggest asset. It was a blast!
If you have any concerns during the process, just ask questions. Email from the states is easy. They may take a few days to get back to you (its Aruba), but don't fret, it all works out perfectly in the end!
I have the pleasure in working together with Lisa Dammerman and staff. The Hilton Aruba is top notch when it comes to luxury in paradise without the high rates. Photographing at the Hilton is breathtaking with gorgeous backdrops such as waterfalls, lush foilage, tropical splendor with exotic birds, two swimming pools, and the pristine beach is picture perfect. The bridal expert Lisandra Dammerman has over 15 years of orchestrating bridal couples wishes into reality and making wedding dreams come true.
The food is delicious and the reception site is superb to host any event. If you are looking for a resort that lets you choose your vendors and who creates your dreams into reality then look no further than Hilton Aruba Resort
The team at the Hilton Aruba, lead by Lisandra, is very professional and delivers a high quality of service. It's always a pleasure to work in conjunction with their team on weddings and corporate events.
The Hilton Aruba is one of our favorite locations to photograph weddings. First of all the staff - including the resort's preferred vendors - is class A-1. Very professional and friendly and focused at all times to deliver the happiest possible day to the Bride and Groom. The team work that we experience at this venue is amazing, always tuned in on the same frequency. Secondly, the beauty of this property is second to none. We love photographing in the spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. The garden is amazing with a lot of green, water, bridges and more. Located at the famous Palm Beach, the beach and ocean form the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Even the way the beach is aligned with the direction of the sun is ideal for natural light photography - our kind of thing. Last but not least, this resort is a historic site. It is the first beach resort in Aruba. When it was opened in 1959 it was standing all alone between the palm trees at Palm Beach. Although it is the first hotel, it has been updated and expanded so many times that it's looks like the newest resort on the strip. For us it's always a pleasure and honor to photograph weddings at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort.
