I cannot say enough good things about Steven! His work is amazing. The videos that he shot looked beautiful and he was able to really capture the magic of the day. You can tell by the editing and his choice of shots that he is incredibly smart and creative. Not only did his videos look awesome but he is a wonderful human being. We felt completely taken care of by him and loved having him and his energy there on our special day. I'm so grateful that I found him and would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I are not used to being in the spotlight, let alone have cameras and mics around or on us, but Steven made everything so seamless and comfortable, we barely noticed the cameras were right there. If you are looking for a wedding videographer, this is your guy! Such a wonderful person to work with and I could not be happier with my wedding video. Working with Steven was such an easy decision for us! Steven was responsive from the very start of wedding planning, even jumping on a call with us late on a Sunday to go over our questions and review his pricing and packages. His experience filming at our venue was a huge plus for us, but it was his confidence, his easygoing manner, and friendliness that sealed the deal.


Leading up to the wedding, Steven was helpful in answering questions and was even gracious enough to accept a last-minute addition to our package which would result in more work for him. He was easy to communicate with and always responsive.



The day of the wedding, Steven and his team were on time and extremely professional. They worked well with our photographers. Steven and his team helped coordinate our first look, a special moment that they captured perfectly. My husband (!!) and I are not that comfortable in front of the camera, but with Steven's friendly directions and artistic vision, it was really a painfree process!


Through the ceremony, Steven and his team were discreet but always in the corner of my eye, filming and documenting the day. After the day was done, Steven called us to wish us well and gave us some awesome recommendations for restaurants in the area as well.


The cinematic video edit is perfect, and to be able to relive the day with a dynamic and kinetic video in addition to our photos was truly a great decision. The transitions in both the cinematic edit and family films are fantastic - nothing is choppy or clunky. From a technical aspect (from a non-technical person) - the videos are beautifully made, using drone shots, well-lit even during our nighttime dancing, with great, clear audio. It's a truly professional production.


I know people have differing opinions on whether or not a video is worth it, but I assure you, you won't regret having a videographer, ESPECIALLY if you make the very wise decision of working with Steven. He captured the joy, the celebration, and the voices of our loved ones that we'll get to cherish for life. I can't put a price on being able to share these videos with our loved ones who couldn't make it to the wedding and I'll always be eternally grateful to Steven for working so hard to document one of the best days of my life.

We hired Steven to film our wedding ceremony late in the game, giving him only 3 weeks of advance notice. We were incredibly fortunate that he was able to squeeze us into his packed summer wedding schedule. Steven was professional, responsive and very accommodating.

Planning a wedding is no easy task. Throw a pandemic into the mix and you get mission impossible. Our wedding was supposed to be in August 2020 but was postponed for a year due to the pandemic. Hearing horror stories from other couples on how they lost their deposits due to wedding postponements and cancellations, my fiancé and I were nervous about our vendors. Thankfully, we were lucky. Steven deserves the highest praise as a professional and a human being. He had no issue with the date change being a year out and kept in touch with us every few months just to make sure we were okay. He did not force us to pay the full amount by the original wedding date and understood what the whole world was going through. We met a few times before the wedding to get to know one another and to discuss the type of day he and his team would be planning to capture all the important moments. His energy was genuine and we knew he had a game plan with our best interest at heart and that provided us with an ease of mind. That in itself was priceless.
Fast forward to the wedding day. Steven and Josh arrived early and had everything ready to go on time. His directions were clear and precise in portraying the feeling he wanted the lens to capture. Steven made everyone feel comfortable and you would forget he was even there at times. He knew how to capture the feeling of a specific moment and found a way to incorporate Holman Ranch as not just a background but a star character in a movie. He knew the venue already and took us to amazing locations to shoot. He always made time to capture extra shots but still followed our strict timeline. Steven and Josh work in a perfect tandem.
We got our wedding video back in less than 3 months! The edits and transitions were flawless and my wife and I loved every minute of it. Hiring Steven and Higher City Wedding Films is easily the best decision you can make for your wedding. Steven treats you like family!

To start, I cannot say how much literally EVERYONE in our wedding enjoyed working with Steven and his crew.

He was the first videographer we spoke with when we got engaged, and right from the start he set the bar very high for other videographers! He was so bright and happy and really made himself easy to talk to and work with. Every step of the way he was super responsive and answered any question we had. Our wedding actually got postponed for a year due to Covid, and Steven was very kind and supportive while we discussed potential new wedding dates. Also, our venue was fairly high-profile and had quite a few regulations that we all had to follow and be respectful of. Steven and his crew never missed a beat and were on top of it all!

We were primarily looking for someone who had a cinematic style, and I swear I could not find anyone with a better sense of cinematography than Steven. Everyone was so impressed with the result and kept telling my husband and I that it looked like a movie! After our 7-year relationship and everything we’ve gone through, this was exactly what we wanted ❤️

We had a lot of options for videography and photography, especially here locally to us. We decided to venture off and find something closer to our venue in Carmel and found Steven. When we came across Steven's videography and editing skills, we were blown away. We loved his attention to detail and audio work incorporated in the video. His prices were reasonable and decided to proceed forward with him.

From the start of our engagement photos to the end of our wedding night, Steven and his team were very professional. He made us feel comfortable around the camera and he had great attention to detail.

On our wedding day, Steven showed up early and wanted to scout the landscape to make sure he had the absolute best shots for our video. He brought his drone and took some amazing aerial shots. His team was able to capture the perfect photo and video shots of our first look, ceremony, and wedding night.

While planning our initial wedding budget, we were hesitant to hire a videographer, especially considering the cost. Luckily for us we were recommended Steven through our photographer Randy(R.R Photography). In short, we were so please with the overall experience. The pricing was fairly reasonable especially considering the quality of work that Steven provided. He was always punctual, organized, and open minded when it came to answering our questions and providing recommendations. He even went to great lengths to personally create a timeline of events for our wedding day to ensure that everything went according to plan.

It has been 1 year and 4 months since our wedding. I am so happy that my husband and I went with Steven . He did a phenomenal job capturing our moments on our wedding day. He even added a surprise drone shots on our highlight video. Not only he was very easy to work with, but he is such a genuine person and would love to work with him again.
