Herb Scott was wonderful to us. Herb and his team went above and beyond to make everything perfect for our wedding. We showed up to the venue a little bit late on our wedding day and a little stressed due to Philly traffic, but Herb and Margaret had already taken the initiative to set everything up, including the decorations we had brought (and had no instructions for set up since we were planning on setting everything up ourselves!). The food and drinks were great and everyone was so kind and helpful to us. We couldn't recommend Herb Scott more.

We hired Herb to cater our wedding at The Powel House in Philadelphia. This was an outdoor wedding with a sit down dinner that had been postponed 1 year due to COVID. Throughout the process, Herb and his team were responsive and flexible. On the day of the wedding, I saw the tables they had set and it took my breath away. So many little details they thought of that I hadn't! The tables looked so whimsical. The food prepared by Herb and his team was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Somehow, in a very small kitchen at the venue, the team churned out over 70 perfectly cooked steaks. I highly recommend them as a wedding caterer. In addition, we have ordered delivered meals from him several times and the food is always delicious and plentiful. Five stars!

EXCELLENT! I told him I didn't want regular wedding food for my reception. He asked, "What's wedding food?" I replied, "chicken, green beans and red potatoes". I want something different. He said He would customize my menu to anything I wanted. When I told him I loved Brinner.. He took what I wanted and gave me more than I could have dreamed of. His staff was wonderful during the whole process. They are very professional and friendly. I really enjoyed working with Herb Scott Catering and would highly recommend them.

Herb and his team did an amazing brunch! All of the food was amazing! It was the perfect end to an amazing wedding weekend!

We didn't get to use Herb because we went with a different venue, but he is seriously so sweet and nice to work with! He was very accommodating with scheduled phone meetings, completely cool with us customizing our menu (because I'm extremely picky), and it was very reasonable pricing. I'd highly recommend you give them a try because their customer service is excellent!

We hired Herb Scott and his team to handle our wedding at Cliveden in Philadelphia. They did an amazing job! I work with 15-20 caterers each year as a part of my job and he is by far the best I have ever hired. The food was delicious and he even went out of his way to handle our special requests and dietary restrictions. They handled all of our set-up and rentals and did an equally excellent job managing everything from beginning to end. As if that was not enough, he and his staff always have a friendly smile and treat everyone exceptionally well. All of our guests have complimented us on both the food and service.

The biggest reason I chose Herb Scott for our June 2013 wedding was that he was so kind & made me feel so calm! FLEXIBLE: We met with a few caterers and they had boilerplate costs, offerings, etc. Herb was SO flexible with us. He’s a traditional caterer with staff, set-up, and rentals we needed BUT also has a BBQ service (ideal for our casual event). OTHER SERVICES: Our venue was hands-off so we needed a caterer to do it all. Chairs, tables, linens, etc. He helped with blocking the locations for dinner, ceremony, dancing, cocktails, etc. He was our venue liaison -checking details, negotiating terms, etc. He found us chic bamboo disposable plates when we wanted a middle ground between paper & china. He was more than our food provider. He truly was our event coordinator. EXTRAS: Herb & his staff really went above and beyond. My mom got lost on route to the venue and Herb actually ran out to the street to find her for me! He also surprised me with extra flowers for our wedding! (for the serving and cocktail tables). In fact, he did a much better job matching our colors/ideas than our paid florist did. Finally, his staff added lots of props to match our colonial wedding. It was a great surprise on the wedding day! FOOD: We opted for a BBQ buffet and I was very pleased with the food. Baked beans were my personal fave. He created a new recipe for vegetarian BBQ seitan. He invented a signature cocktail for us which was a huge hit. Another treat were the ice cream cones served at the end of the night. COST: Can't say enough about how great Herb was about our budget. He found creative ways to cut costs. In the end, we really got everything we wanted. DAY OF: Our guests all remarked on how much they loved the food & how effortless the day seemed. I know it wasn't effortless for Herb because I saw him running around in the corner of my eye! But he made ME feel so calm! He brought me some champagne in the bridal quarters & he checked in on us throughout the day.

Herb and his staff were a pleasure to work with for our wedding. We had to change our plans several times as a result of Covid-19, and Herb was patient and responsive to every change. On the day of our wedding, the food and service was incredible, and we couldn't be happier we chose Herb to cater our wedding.

I rarely write reviews, but I am making an exception for Herb Scott Catering. I just had my wedding this past weekend, and I cannot stress enough how incredible Herb and his team is. Not only was everyone raving about how delicious the food was, but Herb paid attention to all the little details. He and his team are sweet, accommodating and their food is insane. Trust me, if you have to have an event catered, ask for Herb Scott. The only problem I had throughout the year of communication was ensuring I had the proper paperwork well before the event, but I am anal when it comes to that.

Herb and his crew did a great job catering our wedding. I was particularly impressed when we asked for a Seitan entrée for vegetarians. Not having any seitan recipes on his regular menu, Herb tried out 5 different ones in his test kitchen and gave us a bunch of great options. Everyone was professional, friendly and responsive to us and all of our guests. If we have any large events in the future, we will definitely be giving Herb a call!
