Heidi is AMAZING.

From the start she was very easy to work with and provided me all the information that I needed. We first had a sit down where she showed me several photo books of weddings that she had shot. Heidi helped me created a time line which I then used to purchase a package from her. She was very clear on how much time she thought I would need and didn't try to just take on more time for the sake of it. She came with a second shooter which was also great since my husband was getting ready at a different locations from me.

My wedding was a chilly day and all the photos were done outside. She did a great job a keeping everyone relaxed and not look like we were freezing :)

Heidi also did a great job at helping us stick the the timeline. We did sunset photos so she just nicely came over to us and mentioned how it was time to get those start. She never made us feel rushed.

What is also great about her photography is that she does a mix of film and digital.

Since my wedding was only about a month ago I have only seen a few sneak peaks of photos, but they have all been so great! I can not wait to get them all and have prints made.

Overall, Heidi was just the best to work with and I would recommend her to anyone getting married.

Heidi was great to work with. She did our engagement and wedding day photos. She provided us with absolutely beautiful photos and was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. From the moment my fiance and I got engaged, we knew that we wanted Heidi as our wedding photographer -- she took the most beautiful pictures of us at another person's wedding we attended a couple of years ago that really captured our love and happiness that day. Heidi is simply amazing. Working in the wedding industry gave me an upper hand when it came to knowing who I wanted to use for our wedding day. I knew right away that I wanted Heidi there with us to capture our big day. Heidi is beyond accommodating making not only one but two site visits when our plans for an outdoor summer wedding quickly changed to a small intimate winter wedding she wanted to make sure she was familiar with the venue and what we were looking for. I must say I am not an easy client I really do not like getting my picture taken but once again Heidi somehow made the picture taking not only painless but dare I say almost fun?? She is just simply the best and I can not thank her enough for all she did to make our day truly amazing!

We were so fortunate to hire Heidi Vail Photography for our wedding. I have known Heidi for years and I have always been impressed by her kindness, professionalism, and the quality of her work. Immediately after my husband and I got engaged, I contacted Heidi and asked her to photograph our wedding. This was such a great decision--Heidi's years of experience in the wedding industry were extremely helpful, as she helped orchestrate our timeline for first looks and family photos prior to the ceremony. Unexpected rain slightly changed our photo plans, but Heidi was full of ideas. She and her husband, Tim, captured so many beautiful moments. I have had so many relatives and friends comment on how beautiful our photos are and how well the special moments were captured. I cannot recommend Heidi enough!!

Heidi exceeded my expectations for a photographer in so many ways! Not only are her photos amazing but she checked in with me multiple times from the time we booked her to the day we got married. She helped me with our day-of timeline, recommended vendors and was sincere in her generosity. She also traveled from Quincy to NH to do a walk-through of our venue a couple of weeks before the wedding so she knew ahead of time the best spots to take photos. With her help in choosing a location, we had "first look" photos taken on a trail in the woods nearby and they came out better than I ever expected! hadn't booked pre-ceremony transportation and since I wanted our first look to be just the two of us and the photographers, Heidi offered to drive me to the location from the hotel. She brought along her husband, Tim, as a second shooter and he was just as great to work with and took beautiful shots. He also drove my husband to the first look location. They were so accomodating! They had a lovely intern, Sarah and she was perfect, also.
We had an engagement shoot months before our wedding, also. I was sick with pancreatitis during the shoot but she was patient and kind and made it bearable. You'd never even know it from the beautiful photos she took. I can't thank Heidi enough for her services and I'd recommend her to anyone! I hope we can work with her again someday.

Heidi is absolutely amazing at what she does. Her pictures truly capture your emotions and the spirit of the day. My husband and I just sat down to look at our pictures (over 1200 sent just 18 days after the wedding- amazing!) and we literally felt like we were back at the wedding and it was wonderful. I can be very critical of how I look in photos but with Heidi's pictures you do not see flaws in yourself you just see how happy you were and you focus on all the positives. She is creative and dedicated and went above and beyond what she had to do. Heidi and her husband Tim were at the reception until the very end and they captured great dancing shots. Heidi is also the most calming and sweet person, I got stressed out the morning of the wedding because I did not want to be late and Heidi was really great at calming everyone down. But she also can get everyone in order which is key for group shots because those can take forever unless you have Heidi there to keep up the pace. I am so thankful to Heidi and Tim for our wedding pictures and everything they gave us on our wedding day. They are truly amazing and worth every single penny!
