Since 2016, Uptown & More has been ranked EVERY year as The Knots 'Best of Weddings' photographers, among several other awards. I had features/body parts I was a little self conscious about and she was able to help me pose in ways that made me feel so confident; while still capturing the most beautiful candid moments. Even better is that her turn around time is so quick! I had 40 edited sneak peak pictures from my wedding about 10 days after our big day. FOURTY! She also did our engagement pictures and we were so impressed with those as well. Heather and Nick split their work between Georgia and Florida depending on the time of the year. If you're looking for affordable photography for your wedding or other event, I highly recommend Uptown Downtown Photo, Video, and More. When I first found the website I loved that they offered a variety of packages that specifically fit my needs. This was not something I was able to easily find with other vendors. Heather was great with communicating back and forth, which was amazing because I did not live in the area. On the wedding day, Heather was incredibly punctual and patient (as I was less punctual). She interacted phenomenally with my family and guests when needed and got some awesome shots! The rest of the time she was so discrete I didn't even realize she was still taking pictures. As someone who feels like they are not the most photogenic, she made me feel incredibly comfortable and less camera shy. Even when I was unsure of what pictures I wanted, she took control and gave great direction to everyone. She was quick and efficient and the photos came out beautifully! Heather is so personable and has such a fun personality, I strongly recommend using her for all of your photo and video needs!

Three months ago I married the man I love! Nick and I called Heather and Nick at Uptown Downtown to help us with our wedding photography. They were absolutely the best and did an amazing job capturing not only every moment of our wedding, but also, the emotion of joy, laughter, and love.
The best thing was that Uptown Downtown Photo, Video, & More offer much more than just a wedding photography. It turned out they also offer several other services that we were interested in: video, wedding stationary, photo-booth and dj. So we trusted them with all these and that was the best decision ever. They guided us through some things that we had not considered or had forgotten and were extremely relaxed and understanding. DJ Kim made sure that all guests are enjoying themselves and Leah did an amazing job in the photo booth.

Found Heather and Nick last minute after our original photographer dropped out due to family illness leaving us devastated and without a photographer for our wedding anniversary party on the beach. They were able to fit us in last minute, over the phone and Skype. They met us at the venue when we flew in and showed up on time for the event the next night. They blended well with the guests, were friendly, dressed appropriately and took some awesome shots that were amazingly lit given the dark venue. Can't thank them enough for being able to come through in a bind!

We originally looked into hiring Uptown Downtown to do our wedding photography. When we looked at their website, we learned that they also offered video services, a photo booth and DJ services! After meeting with Heather and Nick, we loved their commitment and attitude and booked the DJ and photo booth as well as photography! We stayed in contact regularly before the wedding because they wanted to ensure that they provided everything we wanted to make our day perfect including certain pictures that we may want and, of course, the reception music. The day of the wedding went flawlessly. They were prompt and professional and FUN! Our pictures turned out so good. Kim did an awesome job as the DJ and MC and Leah made sure everyone had a great time in the photo booth. We used Nicholas and Heather from Uptown Downtown Photography to capture our special day and we were ecstatic and still remain beyond thrilled how everything turned out. So nice being able to use 1 company to do so many different things with our wedding. From our pictures(which turned out AMAZING) to our awesome and fun photo booth, to our DJ booth, to our wedding stationary. So nice having them as like our one stop shop for so many things. My husband and I received a fantastic service from the Uptown Downtown team! From our first call to the delivery of the products (in our case photos, photo booth with on-site printing, videos and DJ). Heather and Nick were able to capture each and every moment of this magic day with incredible high quality photos, an unbelievable video montage of the wedding. Kim, the DJ is very talented and all of our guests loved the music and animation. The photo booth is definitely a plus, and allowed our guest to go back home with memories, the technician, Leah, made them very comfortable.
The team’s experience helped us to relax and enjoy our wedding, everything was always under control; the fact that Heather and Nick are married somehow reinsured us, having a family company working for you is a fabulous experience. Heather and her team at Uptown Downtown Photo Video & More were the Official photographers at our wedding four months ago. They were amazing ! They found a way to capture the most intricate areas of our wedding and did so perfectly! My husband and I waited so long to be joined as one, that when the time finally came we got lost in time. However, Heather and her team did an amazing job capturing so many wonderful lost moments. Moments we didn't realize even existed until we anxiously looked through our photos. Me and my fiance (now wife :) ) were in a frenzy trying to find a photographer to shoot our wedding, either most were out of our budget or we or we got a generic feel from them and then we came across Heather in Uptown Downtown Photography. Before I even talk about the photography itself, I was just amazed at the professionalism that Heather and Matthew displayed while working with us. They suggested amazing shots, were very upbeat and helpful and it almost feels as if Heather is just as excited as you are when it comes to your wedding almost like a Bridesmaid/Photographer hybrid.

As far as photography goes, before hand we really had no knowledge on what we wanted to do in regards of where we wanted to take engagement pictures, or what type of shots we were looking for but I feel this is really something that Heather does really well. She suggested places that we could go that could produce some really great shots for our engagement pictures and she will literally go the extra mile for a great photo ( I have saw her run up 2 flights of stairs with a full set photo equipment multiple times in ~90 degree weather just so she could get the perfect shot which is impressive in itself). On our wedding day, Heather and Matthew came to the venue early and cleaned up a spot outside that made for some really great shots which is again, something that was not expected but just a testament of how they will go the extra mile to make sure that your day is captured perfectly in pictures. Also during the wedding they were very receptive with our guests and even took pictures with the guests phones when requested along side with taking professional pictures, which is something that I heard is usually not done by professional photographers.

People that attended the wedding asked us was Heather a family friend that we knew for a long time because of her wonderful attitude and her involvement with our marriage which my wife happily replies with, "No, but she is now."
