I recently got married in March 2021 in Key Largo, FL.  Wedding planning during a pandemic was quite difficult but the easiest and best decision I made was to hire Heather Funk as my wedding photographer!  I knew that I wanted my photos to capture the love and joy between my husband and I and our family and friends on the wedding day.  I also envisioned a natural look that showcased the beauty of the setting and all of the special details I put such hard work into choosing.  I didn’t want cheesy group shots and garish, cliche beach wedding photos.  I was so lucky to come across some examples of Heather’s work and knew right away I wanted her as my wedding photographer!  My husband typically hates getting his photo taken but all of his anxieties about the day-of vanished once we had our amazing engagement photo shoot with Heather.  Everything went so smoothly on the wedding day and Heather made it feel effortless.  She was so fun to work with, yet assertive and efficient.  She worked wonderfully with my videography team and helped me find an amazing hair and makeup artist also.  She tackled the challenging job of keeping everyone on task for the group shots and captured a plethora of amazing, perfect images while still allowing us to be in the moment for our entire wedding day and night.  We will cherish the memories and the photos forever!  I hope I am lucky enough to have another opportunity to work with Heather in the future!

I absolutely love Heather and her assistant Grace. Heather got there that morning but I was in the middle of having my hair and make up done so I couldn’t really talk to her. She figured it all out she made her self comfortable and next thing you know; she’s duck taping my bridesmaids boobs to fit perfectly in her dress. She does it all! I didn’t have a videographer and of course I wondered if I wasn’t going to regret that choice. Let me tell you, I don’t feel slight regret or like I’m missing something, the pictures came to life! Right now I feel so beyond grateful that I found Heather and that I chose her and my photos are absolutely stunning. I can’t stop looking at them and obsessing over them and her and of course her beautiful work!!!! Thank you again Heather and team! Maybe I can have some babies so you can photograph that too!!!!

I can't tell you how amazing Heather was to work with. From the moment we met her, I was so impressed with how professional and creative she was! Heather took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and made us feel such ease . We had never taken professional photos together as a couple and during our engagement photos, she really just made us feel comfortable and knew all of the right angles and spots for our shots. On the wedding day, Heather was literally running the show and made sure we got all of the shots on our shot list. I'm not kidding when I say all of my bridesmaids said Heather was the best photographer they had ever seen (and that's saying alot!), she just knew when to wrangle everyone and knew the exact moments to be capturing. When we got our wedding photos back, I burst into tears as the photos were just absolutely gorgeous. She is unbelievable with capturing photos using natural light. I am going to treasure them forever and I am so thankful I found Heather. If you are considering working with her, don't consider, just do it! We hired Heather for our wedding this March and I am so happy that we found her!!!
We got married at Vizcaya and it was important to me to hire a photographer who had worked there before. Heather knew all the best spots on the property and made sure we got a nice variety of photos.
Not only did we get amazing photos, but Heather is also such a pleasure to work with! She is a very nice and easygoing person! Someone once said in a review that Heather was like a "photo ninja" and I couldn't agree more! She was everywhere and got photos that I didn't even realize she took! Not only did we get great photos of ourselves, but she also took lots of photos of our guests, which I know they will all be thrilled about! :)
The turnaround time for our photos was AMAZING!! Within one day Heather sent a few preview photos, and had the rest of our photos to us within less than a week of the wedding!! That's unheard of!!! Not only did we get the photos back quickly but they were of exceptional quality! They truly took our breath away!
