Headquarters Event Center is a cozy historic wedding venue for couples planning a wedding in the Cincinnati, Ohio or Northern Kentucky area. This location was originally constructed as a hardware store in 1870, but has since been restored by owner Mike Smith. Today it maintains all of its traditional 1800s charm, with the modern amenities couples desire. This venue, located in downtown Newport, sits just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. It is within walking distance from tons of hotels, bars, restaurants, and entertainment.
Facilities and Capacity
Serving as an event venue since its reopening in 2018, this venue suits more than one wedding-related event. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, it can be used for bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. This venue features an exterior facade of large windows facing the street for a chic downtown feeling. The interior is made of exposed bricks, as well as white-painted bricks. Hardwood floors add to the antique atmosphere of this venue, while the decor and wooden furniture add to the industrial vibe. There is a small kitchen on site for catering prep. The space is one floor comprised of numerous rooms that flow together beautifully for seamless use of the space.
Couples can invite as many as 150 guests to their wedding celebration at the Headquarters Event Center in Newport. The helpful staff at the venue assists couples in whatever way is needed, including setting up and cleaning up the space. Couples and guests alike will delight in the convenience of the public parking lot across the street from this location, as well as the ample street parking that is available. This historic venue will provide seating for up to 100 guests, the maximum allowed for a seated event, yet most couples choose to host a unique, non-traditional event with open/partial seating. Venue includes chairs, tables, and linens. The venue provides the basics for a great event all included in their price, eliminating the need for expensive add-ons and packages. Couples and guests are invited to bring their own alcohol for a bar at this venue, guaranteeing that they’ll love the selection. Couples are invited to provide their own bar and catering service with few to no restrictions. Wireless Internet is available throughout the space.
Headquarters uses a simple hourly pricing model. Wedding Event Pricing is $200 per hour with a 6 hour minimum. Weddings can choose to host a reception only, or a ceremony and reception combo in the venue. Our most popular Wedding Event package is 8 hours, or $1600 (2 hours in the morning for setup/decorating, 1 hours prior to guest arrival for catering droppff, 1 hour for ceremony/cocktails/transition, 3 hour reception, and 1 hour after event to cover guest overstay/cleanup/exit). The price includes all tables, chairs, and linens, as well as tons of other amentities. Pricing does not inlcude food, drinks, alcohol, tableware, and personalized decorations.

So glad we were able to find this gem of an Event Center! We had our wedding reception/party here and received nothing but compliments from our guests. They SAVED our wedding day
I’m not even sure where to start, of all our wedding day vendors none of them really left me emotional, but Mike did, and for great reason. Just 10 days prior to our wedding day, our previous reception space vendor dropped a bomb on us, we would now be sharing our reception space with the general public (!!!!!!!), this was not an option for us. While I was in another state, on my Bachelorette getaway with my girls, my (then) Fiancé reached out to view the HQ space and Mike made himself available THAT day. Within 4 hours, we found a cheaper, more beautiful space with Headquarters than our previous location and were locked into our contract with him within hours. Mike literally saved our wedding reception and I returned from my trip, went straight to the venue and fell in love myself!
This space is absolutely amazing, the elegance and different possibilities for everyone’s different styles is endless. We showed a few videos during our reception so we loved that we had the ability to show them in both areas for all guests to see. Mike made himself available for us to decorate that morning, stayed with us throughout the night and even helped us remove the two head tables after dinner to create more dance floor space. I was a little worried at first about the community seating but it actually was pretty perfect and kept our dance floor popping throughout the night.
Mike is so professional, so helpful, and just a really great person! Words will never be enough to thank him and we will never forget what he did for us. Thank you so much!!!Sent on 10/29/2019
