Chef Mavis Linnemann-Clark founded The Delish Dish to bring her passion for gourmet food, global flavors, and knack for Southern hospitality to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
She was raised with her triplet brother and sisters in Ryland, Kentucky, on good old- fashioned southern cooking and trips to the area’s best restaurants. She worked in bakeries, candy stores and coffee shops, all the while improving her baking skills at home with chocolate mousses and layer cakes.
Linnemann-Clark studied magazine journalism, women’s studies and film at Syracuse University. After graduating from college, she fell in love with cooking and began dreaming up new concoctions. When she wasn’t cooking, she traveled as much as she could, visiting five continents and even taking cooking classes in Umbria, Italy.
Chef Mavis moved to Chicago in 2008 for a change of scene, and in 2010, she enrolled in culinary school at Kendall College, which was ranked as the #1 program for culinary arts in Chicago by the Chicago Michelin Guide Restaurants. At Kendall, Chef Mavis was classically trained in the culinary arts and had the opportunity to take a Mexican Master Class with renowned Mexican chefs. In 2011, she graduated with a certificate in Catering and Personal Chef from Kendall.
Not long after, she moved back home to Northern Kentucky, married the man of her dreams, and established The Delish Dish to bring globally inspired gourmet and her unique artisan jams and jellies to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
In 2013, Mavis Linnemann-Clark was chosen as a finalist in the spring class of Bad Girl Ventures, a local nonprofit devoted to the education and financing women- owned businesses. The Delish Dish joined the Northern Kentucky Incubator Kitchen and announced the launch of our Artisan Jam and Jelly product line in fall 2013. In 2014 we’re excited to announce the launch of Made By Mavis, our rebranded artisan product line.

Mavis and the Delish Dish crew did a fabulous job at our wedding. They catered and bartended and we heard only positive feedback from our guests. Mavis was so great to work with. She listened to exactly what my husband and I wanted (stations, including tacos and perogies!), made expert suggestions, took care of ordering all the chairs/tables/linens/dinnerware, and was always quick to respond and get things done for us. The Delish Dish absolutely contributed to the success of our wedding and we are so happy we hired them.

We used them for our wedding reception and the food was phenomenal!! I absolutely recommend them for any event you have. The staff was incredible and the food was perfect. The candied bacon is the best!!

Mavis and The Delish Dish catered our rehearsal dinner at The Turn Vintage Warehouse in Newport, KY. The food was fabulous, creative and beautifully displayed. Our guests were very impressed and we looked great for selecting them. We were so happy with the staff and their responsiveness to our needs. We choose a vegetarian menu and the selection was great. I highly recommend The Delish Dish and look forward to occasion to use them again.
