Because my daughter and her fiance live 1000 miles away, I had the responsibility of researching, tasting, and selecting the catering for their August 28th barn wedding. The couple wanted a barbecue theme, so naturally my first instinct was to contact local vendors in the Greater Cincinnati area who specialize in pulled pork, brisket, etc. I'm extremely detail oriented and particular about food quality, but most offered a limited menu, no healthy options, and were simply too expensive for our budget. I discovered Lother's on the venue's preferred vendor website and scheduled a tasting. I was absolutely blown away at the quality of food and the professionalism of John, Dawn, and the Lother's staff. Of all the places I sampled, Lother's was absolute best and went above and beyond to earn our business, and they certainly did not disappoint the night of the wedding. The staff and bartenders were extremely helpful and friendly to us and our guests, and the food was amazing. Everyone commented how it was the best food they've had at a wedding, raving especially about the beef brisket. Most importantly, everyone at Lother's was extremely understanding of my unique situation, and the difficulty being a mother of the bride planning a wedding with my daughter so far away. I highly recommend Lother's catering, as they were professional, reasonably priced, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was patient and kind throughout the entire 8 months of planning, and they truly helped make my daughter's big day one of the best (if not the best) wedding ever.

John and crew went above and beyond to provide appetizers and then a plated meal for 250 guests at my daughter's wedding at Rhinegeist Brewery event center! The food was presented beautifully and was hot and delicious! The guests raved about the taste, especially the corn bread and braised short ribs. John was exceptional to work with and went out of his way to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. In the brides's words, "Everything was perfect!" I would highly recommend this devoted man to make your wedding day special!!

From the beginning of the wedding process and finding a caterer was a little stressful until I found Lother's Catering! I worked with John Lother and he made my experience everything but stressful! We met a couple times at his meeting room to taste food! We had several different items to choose from! We went with four different entree's the night of the wedding and everyone loved them! When planning for a wedding the main thing I was concerned about was my food, because guest remember what the food taste like, sorry but they don't remember what your flowers looked like! I believe since our wedding 4 or 5 guest have asked about our catering and have used Lother's Catering for their weddings and/or events! Besides how amazing the staff was the night of the wedding what I loved and what stood out to me was the display that they set up for the food to be served around! Absolutely beautiful and eye catching! Also, the pricing was very reasonable !

Since the wedding I have also taken advantage of their meeting room for different business meetings and parties/celebrations for work! The service and food they provide there is still 5 star!

My uncles run Lother's Catering, so I may be a little biased in saying that they are my favorite catering business in Greater Cincinnati, however I had so many people come up to me after my wedding raving about the food, some being so bold as to say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Not only are the prices reasonable, but they are so easy to work with, the food is incredible, and the presentation is even better. If you have the option to choose your own catering at your venue, I would highly recommend Lother's! Insider tip ... the macaroni and cheese is the best you will ever eat. Don't let a fancy venue deter you from making this part of your menu. We had our wedding at Music Hall and everything was amazing.

John Lother and his staff helped to make our wedding a huge hit. It has been 3 1/2 months since our wedding and we still get complements on the food that we served with comments such as, "Your food by far was the best wedding/catered food that I've ever had". Everything was delicious and very fairly priced. Our menu included items fit for the upcoming July 4th holiday with fried chicken, pork shoulder, caprice salad, potatoes and seasonal Italian-style vegetables. The rustic design of the buffet layout fit perfectly into our barn wedding and John's staff was outstanding in keeping the food coming and helping out guest with some special requests. Thanks John!

The food was absolutely amazing! We received so many compliments on how delicious it was. There was something ther for my vegetarians, lactose intolerant people, and gluten free people to eat. Overall very pleased with the quality of their food.

The staff was very nice, the food table looked beautiful and everyone was raving about the food! With our wedding being so close to Thanksgiving I tried to stay away from traditional Thanksgiving food. I was very impressed with their variety of food choices. Thank you Lother's Catering!
