Krista... (or, as I have her in my cell phone as "The Amazing Krista" - no joke), is exactly that. Amazing.

She made the whole process of food, scheduling, vendors, etc. so very easy. The catering/food is the ONE area I just simply did not worry about, because I KNEW Krista had it handled, and I was not wrong.

To make her job harder, I requested the food be gluten-free (daughter and now my allergies). The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!

With all the emails back and forth, the last minute changes to the number of people attending, the never ending seating arrangement changes... she rolled with all of it like the pro she is.

You know how you know everyone is enjoying their meal? The tables are buzzing with laughter and talk. We had to have the D.J. up the volume, because everyone was enjoying their meal so much, we couldn't hear the music we selected. lol

Everyone was asking about the food. The look of shock on their faces when I told them that everything was Gluten-Free, was priceless. There really wasn't much food leftover at all, darn it. I was hoping we could take a few meals home. Risotto - Gone. Meatballs - Gone. Chicken Nuggets - Gone. Salad - Gone. There were only 3 Chicken breasts filled with goat cheese left, some steak, and some roasted potatoes left. Still, I'm so glad everyone had a great time at our wedding.

We are even talking about our next party together! And I will hire NO ONE else but HHC and The Amazing Krista.

I'd tell you to hire them too, but I don't want Krista to be too busy for when I need her!! ;)

I have absolutely no reservations about recommending this place. They are so worth it.

Sorry for the long review, but I really could go on and on about how wonderful Krista is.

Wow!! Using Handheld Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Not only was the food delicious but the service at our wedding was absolutely phenomenal. Krista (Handheld Catering Event Coordinator) helped us throughout the entire process and was always available to answer questions or problem solve. She definitely went above and beyond to help us put together the perfect catering proposal, and she was incredibly patient with us as our guest numbers and cost constraints changed due to COVID. We couldn't be more thankful to Krista and the entire Handheld Catering team for all they did to make our wedding one of the most special days of our lives. Book Handheld Catering! You will not regret it!

I waited a long time to write this review to ensure I did not do so with anger and give myself time to reflect on the experience. I contacted handheld and it started off great - I even pressured my parents to go with them over a less costly service because I was convinced that they would be great and I wanted everything to go well. . . things quickly fell apart. Brenda Ayala, the woman we worked with, took several weeks to reply to emails and months to get estimates, she also missed scheduled phone calls. Each time she apologized and said she was busy. She was a very nice person but the service was atrocious. At one point, I was on the phone with her and vocalized that I was concerned that we were going over budget and wanted to review some of the decor suggestions/add ons that we had spoken about. Brenda said something like, "i'm sure your parents will get over it." At that point, I asked my mother to take over being the main point of contact as it made me extremely uncomfortable on top of the poor service. The day before my wedding we waited for most of the day for the tables etc. to be dropped off at the venue - they never came and we were late to the rehearsal dinner because of it. When the rentals did come they were not what we ordered. There were countless other issues that I don't think I need to detail here. Suffice it to say, working with Handheld nearly ruined my wedding day. The only bright spot was working with the main floral coordinator (not sure if that is her actual role). She was amazing and helped arrange a truly beautiful bouquet. She also came to the venue on the day of the wedding to supervise because there had been so many issues. Handheld gave us a few thousand dollars off of the final bill but that doesn't nearly make up for the stress and terrible service. I understand that May 2022 was a very busy time for wedding services but Handheld should not take on more clients than they can handle. Truly awful experience.
