Working with Hiroko at Hanaya Floral is always a fun experience. Hiroko is so friendly and sweet and really knows her way around a fresh, modern take on lovely floral arrangements. Her stunning bouquet she created for me is still raved about by my friends, and the centerpieces were so beautiful. She really listens to your ideas and then runs in a contemporary direction that is nothing but fabulous!

Hiroko is much more than a florist. She is an artiste. Anything she puts together is perfection, and just looks right. We wanted our centerpieces to be modern and elegant that did not fight with our venue, which was extremely extravagant and traditional, and Hiroko did not disappoint. Her creations are totally unique, and like nothing you will see at other weddings. Our personal flowers, i.e. boutonnieres and bouquets, were just exquisite. Best of all, we gave Hiroko a relatively small budget to work with, and not only did we get arrangements that looked far more expensive, but we actually came in significantly under budget.

I think we had 3 consultations and 1 venue visit with Hiroko. We had absolutely no clue about flowers, so we used our time with Hiroko to show her our linens and dresses and other decor, and asked her to just do whatever she wanted. And that's what we really loved about Hiroko. Other florists we visited always asked us what we liked, and we had no idea. With Hiroko, we could just trust her vision and creativity, and know that it would turn out amazing. Anytime we need flowers from now on, we will be going to Hiroko first.

Hiroko is the best! She took my ideas and turned them into beautiful floral arrangements. Everyone had wonderful things to say about my bouquet! She is very flexible and detailed oriented. She even stayed extra to make sure all the center pieces were just right. Thank you again Hiroko! I would highly recommend Hanaya to any bride who wants beautiful flowers.

We gave Hiroko a big challenge for our wedding. There were going to be 16 tables for our reception, and we wanted 16 different arrangements, both flowers and plants and fruits or vegetables to represent different plant families.

We chose Hiroko and her company after considering two other florists in the area, because of her unique approach to floral design. her openness and her creativity in non-traditional wedding and event design.

She met with us twice before the wedding, going through sketches and ideas as we explained our concept for the tables, as well as other areas that would get flowers in the venue (place card tables, cocktail tables, the bar, rest rooms). We also later added large displays for the ceremony after it was moved indoors into an auditorium.
Her creations were unique, inspiring and beautiful and had our guests talking throughout the evening.

We were slightly disappointed with the boutonieres which were a bit more traditional than we expected. But that was a minor concern, particularly considering the beautiful displays that she created to give our reception a sophisticated, modern approach that perfectly suited our style.

Her fees were far lower than we expected for what we were requesting, in terms of originality and variety.

Hiroko made the amazing floral arrangements and bouquet. She has a consultation where she draws out a sketch of the actual florals so that there are no surprises. The flowers she uses are the best quality and each piece she creates are a work of art! She takes such care with each flower and green she selects that you can tell with each flower that they are selected for perfection! Seriously beautiful! Hiroko is also amazing responsive and amazing to work with! She is inspiring every time you visit her shop and speak with her!

I chose to use Hanaya for my wedding. I've lived in Japan and I have a love for ikebana, and I wanted some really interesting bouquets and flower arrangements for my wedding. I adored the pieces that Hanaya has made that I saw online, and they were just the fun, contemporary feel that I was looking for.

I went into the shop to get quotes for what the shop could do for my wedding. I spoke with Hiroko, who I assume owns the shop. Hiroko was friendly and sat me down with some delicious ocha (tea) while we talked about what I needed for my wedding and my budget. My budget of $800 was very tight for 4 hand-held bouquets, 10 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, and 2 vases. I ended up having to scale back my vase flowers to afford flowers for everyone. Hiroko was willing to work with me and my budget, and ultimately I picked her shop over others, mostly because of the quality of work that I'd seen from them.

Hiroko guided me through my color preferences and what flowers were available in those colors at that time of year. One of the draws of Hanaya is that they use some really exotic and beautiful flowers and plants that you just don't find at other flower shops.

In the end, all of our flowers came out wonderfully- and with a really neat, contemporary twist. Hanaya is not the cheapest option out there, but you get personable service with high quality flowers. Highly recommended.
