Our wedding was absolutely stunning— I’m trying to find the words to describe how happy we were with our choice but you really have to venture there yourself to feel the magic. Andrea Smith helped us with every little detail from our wedding and put it together PERFECTLY. All our family and friends are still raving about this wedding— from the simple details to the food to the ceremony. It was a fairytale. We were not only able to have the most gorgeous wedding, we also had a beautiful vacation with family and friends. It was such a memorable moment in time. I can’t say thank you enough to all the helpful staff members— Karlene, Tanya, Sasha-Kay, Latoya, Dean, Corey, Gregory (thanks for all the coconuts!!), Brenton, Wallace, all staff members at Maakit (shoutout the Britney!), all chefs at the breakfast buffet (Corey & David), literally everyone at Half Moon were so extremely kind and helpful. Definitely venture around the resort and don’t forget to go to Rosey’s!

I had the most epic experience getting married at half moon. My dream wedding became a reality! My husband and I could not be happier! Andrea, the wedding planner, was absolutely phenomenal. She coordinated everything perfectly, was a delight to work with, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. The sales manager Tashane was also an absolute 10/10 to work with, along with Sherrita who coordinated the room block. The food at every event was outstanding. Everyone who attended said it was the best wedding they had ever been too, as well the best food they have ever had at a resort, let alone a wedding.

Amazing resort, and a perfect place for any special occasion!

We selected Half Moon resort at Montego Bay, Jamaica for our destination wedding. Thank you is not enough to explain our wedding experience. Although we expected that it was improbable that every detail could be perfect - perfect it was. From the beginning Tashane Castillo Barath, Andrea Smith, Trevolyn Matthew and others were helpful in preparation of every detail of our big day, appropriately communicating with us through emails and phone calls.
Our special thank you is for Andrea Smith, our personal wedding planner, her attentiveness, caring nature, and attention to detail were incredibly calming. Our requests and her suggestions made a big difference in our wedding day and really made it an outstanding week to remember. When we arrived at the resort, the staff could not have been more accommodating and upgraded us to a beautiful Royal Suite overlooking the ocean. Andrea was and did a magnificent job of organizing everything. The more we communicated with her the more she could anticipate our needs. Of course, it was an entire team that jointly worked tirelessly together to make our wedding the most memorable event possibly imaginable. It felt like they were making a movie and we were the stars. I wish I could name everyone working at Half Moon, but the list would be endless. In short order, everywhere we went they all knew our names and gave us a warm greeting.
We had a group that included non-English speakers, children and guests who had to be near their family. They listened and when we arrived every single room was ideally chosen. We have traveled extensively and always had a difficult time getting a perfectly located room, everyone did at the Half Moon resort. The guests were ecstatic with their rooms, impeccably clean and with giant bathrooms and great ocean views.
We have been to many black-tie events, weddings and more and the food was just ok. For our wedding the food was incredible. The executive chefs worked carefully with us to choose meals that would work for everyone. We chose to have plated dinners at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. Those with special request were prepared on the spot for them. We had Red snapper and romaine salad for the rehearsal. The snapper could not have been fresher, and the portions were large. For the wedding dinner, we had steak and lobster. Both meals were better than almost any restaurant we have been to. We and our guests were so surprised that it would be possible to create such a meal for a wedding party of 35 guests. We forgot that we ordered pumpkin soup for a first course because we do not care for pumpkin in food, but it was so delicious.
We were married at Sunrise Beach and had the reception at the Royal Pavilion, an open-air beautiful building overlooking the ocean. The flowers were fresh and perfectly matched and seamlessly arranged for each step in the wedding night. The wedding party's round tables were set up with elegant and natural decorations, beautiful local flowers in vases, shimmering candles, all of which looked wonderful. We had a violinist for ceremony, and he was incredible! The Steel Band played for the cocktail hour and the DJ’s played our requests as well a great selection of music. We requested entertainment with Limbo dancers and Fire- eaters. Most of the guests tried the Limbo, but of course none fire-eating. The entertainment was a HUGE hit. Our photographer Michael Saab created beautiful and forever memorable photos of our wedding.
Our wedding was a perfect success! We give the Half Moon Resort 5 stars in every category, and highly recommend the Half Moon for weddings and family vacations.

It was a pleasure to work with the Half Moon team on our wedding. They organized everything within 4 months, planning the party with us via emails and phone calls and then making adjustments in person few days before the wedding. The service was excellent - we couldn't ask for a better wedding venue.

Numerous guests told us this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and I agree! Half Moon couldn't be a more beautiful property, the staff is incredibly kind and made the weekend perfect. I couldn't recommend more, we are already planning our next trip back.
