About this vendor
Gypsy Reverie, based out of Asheville, North Carolina, is a talented band that performs at weddings.
Picture cocktail hour on a terrace in the Blue Ridge, with a violin and two guitars playing the hot swing of 1930s Paris across the lawn. Gypsy Reverie is an acoustic gypsy jazz band from Asheville, and we play Django Reinhardt swing, French chansons like "La Vie en Rose," bossa nova, Portuguese fado, and the Sinatra and Nat King Cole standards your grandparents danced to.
We can also provide classical music for ceremonies. We build the band around your day. A violin and acoustic guitar duo plays your ceremony, no power supply needed - which matters on a mountaintop or in a garden far from an outlet. A trio carries cocktail hour and dinner at a volume your guests can talk over, and a quartet or quintet with a vocalist takes over when it’s time to dance.
Arranging a couple’s first dance in the gypsy jazz style is our favorite part of the job, whether it’s a jazz standard or a pop song nobody expects to hear on a violin. Two weeks’ notice is all we need.
Joseph leads the band on violin after fifteen years with the Hot Club of Philadelphia, alongside Asheville's most talented guitarists and upright bass players. We play all around Asheville, including Battery Park Book Exchange, where we've sold out wine and music parties.
We play weddings across Western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina, and east Tennessee. You have enough to think about on your wedding day, and the band shouldn’t be one of those things. We’ve played hundreds of weddings, so we arrive early, set up before your first guest walks in, and pride ourselves on a professional attitude.
Send us your date and the song you can’t imagine your wedding without!

"We received so many compliments on the band! The music was so much fun, and the song selection from originals to covers was perfection for our wedding. I would highly recommend them for any occasion!" - Elizabeth Wright, Bride
