Gypsum Grill & Event Center is a country club and restaurant wedding venue located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. This establishment provides a dining experience that they describe as "polished casual" while overlooking Mines Golf Club. The golf course arose from the vision of developer Dan Schimmel and renowned architect Mike Devries, opening in 2005. In 2021, Chris Sobieck and family purchased the premises and added this new dining space. With menu items carefully created by the in-house culinary team, this event space provides an elegant and inviting setting for a couple's special celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
This venue includes an air-conditioned and fully enclosed indoor banquet space with large windows. These allow guests to savor sweeping views of the Mines Golf Club below as well as enjoy ample natural light. The grounds also have two outdoor ceremony sites. Up to 250 guests may share in a celebration on these premises, with 220 a recommended number.
