My name is Darius and I founded Groove on Hyde Street Wedding DJs to bring the utmost professionalism, skill and value to the couple's wedding day.
I am always honored to be selected to be the DJ/MC on one of the couple’s biggest days of their lives, and I strongly believe our role makes a large impact on the wedding experience. This is why I have invested in a streamline process to bring many solutions when it comes to creating ambiance, entertainment and overall flow. We can help with lighting, photo booth, yard games and other memorable add ons.
I have trained a small team of DJs who are super dedicated and excited to take part in the mission. We do an amazing job every time; mother’s love us, bridesmaids love us and most importantly the couples love us. Let’s talk and we promise we will be your best value and best vendor.

Shawn totally delivered!!
We had a fairly spread out venue with our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dance floor all in different places. I was really concerned with how Shawn would navigate this but he was so professional and easy and ended up setting up his equipment in two different spots!! It was perfect and really was such a relief.
Not only was Shawn professional and talented, but he was also such a fun guy to have around!! Our guests absolutely loved him. They’re all still talking about “Sexy Shawn: dopest DJ in the PNW”
Our wedding reception was awesome and we really owe it to Shawn for giving 110% effort and throwing us a damn good party at an incredibly reasonable rate.
Definitely hire him (and Groove On Hyde). You won’t be disappointed!
