We cannot say enough amazing things about Shawn!! From the moment we met him, my husband and I knew this would be an awesome partnership. Shawn was so kind and quick to accept our music requests. We wanted to start out with family friendly “classic” wedding music and then transition into true club music with lots of fading between songs. We were blown away with how he completely understood the assignment!! He really has a passion for music and DJing and we were lucky to have him at our rave in the woods.

We had a fairly spread out venue with our ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and dance floor all in different places. I was really concerned with how Shawn would navigate this but he was so professional and easy and ended up setting up his equipment in two different spots!! It was perfect and really was such a relief.

Not only was Shawn professional and talented, but he was also such a fun guy to have around!! Our guests absolutely loved him. They’re all still talking about “Sexy Shawn: dopest DJ in the PNW”

Our wedding reception was awesome and we really owe it to Shawn for giving 110% effort and throwing us a damn good party at an incredibly reasonable rate.

Groove on Hyde Street definitely knows how to keep the party alive! After our initial introductory meeting and reading through reviews, we felt pretty good with our choice in hiring them. We did not have any concerns the day of our wedding with DJ Art. He was very professional, timely, listened and asked great questions, and ensured all songs were played on queue as requested. We had such an amazing experience working with Darius and Blake from Groove on Hyde Street. Everything from the planning to the execution of the evening felt so seamless. We loved using their planning app and selecting songs for the important moments of the evening. The app made things so simple!

The night of the wedding, we received so many compliments on the music! Blake played a great selection that vibed really well with the specific songs we chose for the evening. The dance party at the end of the night was the cherry on top of a fun night of great music!

Artem was our DJ/sound guy and he did a phenomenal job. He was very profesional, on time, easy to reach and very easy to work with! We were incredibly lucky to have David from Groove on Hyde Street as our DJ for our wedding on August 23, 2025. Not only is David an amazing DJ, but he's also an amazing person.

Here’s a bit of backstory: we had originally booked a different DJ, who backed out about two months before our wedding due to moving out of state. He promised us a replacement — and that’s when David entered the picture. Just a few days later, we found out that the original DJ had filed for bankruptcy and taken off with our money. At that point, David could have walked away too — and honestly, no one would have blamed him.

But he didn’t.
David is a man of integrity and his word. He honored the agreement, showed up on our wedding day, made sure the music was perfect for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and absolutely crushed it. The vibe was perfect, the music was exactly what we wanted, and everyone — including the kids — had an amazing time. He brought great energy and made the night unforgettable.
