About
At Grit City Photography, we're all about telling your story. Whether you're walking down the aisle, spending time with the ones you love, or holding your sleepy newborn baby, our goal is to capture the moments most dear to you.
Our wedding philosophy: As working photojournalists we are trained to record history as we document the world around us. Moments define memories - a wild smile between old friends, a tearful embrace with your parents or that first dance with your new partner - it's from these moments that a memory is made. When it comes to your wedding day, we use our knowledge and experience to capture those details that will make it special and unique.

| WHO WE ARE |
INGRID BARRENTINE is a wife, mother to a little girl named Rosie, coffee addict (and quite possibly snob), lover of the outdoors, traveler, and a photographer. Before launching Grit City Photography in 2011, Ingrid worked as a photojournalist at the Northwest Guardian on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. She also spent time in eastern Washington at the Spokesman-Review and interned at her hometown newspaper, the Yakima Herald-Republic. Ingrid believes in the power of a single image and works hard to look for and capture moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
SARA GETTYS is a photojournalist and artist who also loves going to estate sales, reading books, building stuff, cooking and petting cats. She’s been a photojournalist for the Yakima Herald-Republic for 7 years and earned her MA in journalism from the University of Missouri. When Sara's not working as a photographer, she creates beautiful art - some of which you can see here. Sara and Ingrid work together on all weddings.
