Located in Mauston, Wisconsin, Great Escape Lodge on Castle Rock Lake is a luxury venue that hosts weddings and other milestone events. We invite to-be-wed couples to hold their nuptial celebration in this magnificent rural retreat. Located less than a half-hour drive north of Wisconsin Dells, this lakeside lodge offers rustic backdrops and remarkable beach weddings. You can enjoy your festivities in high-end country style - a venue for you to make fantastic memories in.

Facilities and Capacity

This facility features customized design and construction to cater to the requirements of guests. The Lodge offers 9,500 square feet of space and amenities for exceptional comfort for up to 120 guests. The four-seasons room includes a table suitable for seating up to eight people. Built-in window seats grant guests sweeping views of Castle Rock Lake and the verdant beauty of the region. Three well-furnished kitchens feature polished granite surfaces, stainless steel appliances, and miscellaneous kitchen items for your cooking needs. Your dining can be held around a custom table for 10, located near the main kitchen, while a wet bar is available for enjoying beverages. Furthermore, a four-car garage offers sheltered on-site parking and convenience for you and your guests. The on-site get-ready rooms will be ready for you to prepare and relax during your big day while three fireplaces offer a cozy ambience.

Services Offered

Wedding events that can be hosted at Great Escape Lodge on Castle Rock Lake include rehearsal dinners, elopements, ceremonies, and receptions. The venue staff can advise you on obtaining the services of local vendors. Weddings are primarily held September-May. (Stays from June-August are seven nights with a Saturday check-in.)

Accommodation

Up to 28 guests can be accommodated in the Lodge, with its seven expansive bedrooms. Linen sheets with a 600 thread count and a variety of pillows offer a comfortable and restful stay. Six full and two half baths are also included, with the master bedroom featuring an Ultra Bain jacuzzi. Great Escape Lodge on Castle Rock Lake is a majestic country setting where you and your loved ones can relish your wedding day.

Most amazing day!

We booked Great Escape Lodge for our wedding in February, and we had the most amazing experience! Picture-perfect doesn't even begin to describe our day! Our ceremony was held outdoors by the lake using the provided chairs. It was absolutely stunning! The flexibility to arrange the reception area to our liking made the reception setup so easy and exactly how we dreamed of. With 50 wedding guests, we had room to spare for all the fun. Our cabin stay with our wedding party (20 of us!) was a blast - think crackling fire pits, game room competitions, and chill hangouts! Morgan was awesome to work with and we cannot wait to stay here again with our favorite people for many years to come!

Could not have asked for a more perfect weekend.

The lodge was so much more than we could have ever hoped for. It allowed us to focus on what meant most to us: our closest friends and family. It was intimate, but with plenty of room and things for people to do. From the very beginning, Dan and Amy were incredibly communicative and helpful through the entire planning process - even letting us tour the space as it got closer. We were living in Texas at the time, so planning a wedding across the country presented its challenges but they were always more than willing to help in any way possible. Our family has already talked about renting again - and hope to make it a tradition!

Awesome wedding Venue, family wants to rent again for future holidays

We had a wedding at the property and we were told by most guests it was the best wedding they have been to all year despite the 40 degree sleeting weather. We had to move the outdoor wedding indoors, but there was still plenty of room and it was a pretty spectacular entrance walking across the upstairs "bridge" before coming downstairs to the aisle and alter. The venue was a HIT! The Lodge was clean, well stocked with all the extra essentials we forgot, and comfortable. The Lodge's recommendations for food, photography, and transport service were excellent! Our immediate family members all stayed in the Lodge leading up to the wedding; the kids LOVED the basement with gaming room and the adults loved the bars, pool table, sound system. We expected our family members to be in and out to the Dells throughout the weekend, however everyone stayed at the cabin the entire weekend - there was no need to find other things to do. The communication with the property manager was very prompt. Beds/pillows were comfortable. Plenty of parking for our 60+ guests. The fall colors around the cabin were amazing. Thank you Great Escape Lodge for helping to make our wedding day PERFECT!
