Darrin and the Grandview Bakery team made my wedding cake. It was not only beautiful - exactly what I had hoped for - but also completely delicious. We went for a subtle almond flavored white cake with raspberry jam and cream cheese cream layers. Light, not too sweet, and the perfect consistency. Our guests loved it. I also adored Grandview (and Darrin) for their unpretentiousness. Grandview is a local bakery rooted in community, and it shows. Everyone who works there is so kind and down to earth. It represents the best of Pittsburgh - that close knit community feeling that only people who grew up in the Burgh can put their finger on. The cakes and other baked goods speak for themselves, but the people make this place just as much as the desserts. Thank you Darrin and team - we're so grateful and can't wait to come back.

Brandi at Grandview Bakery was incredible to work with. She's creative and very helpful. We initially met with her very briefly then went back for taste-testing and to design the cake. She worked with our florist for timing of when to deliver the cake at the venue and placement of the flowers. The cake was beautiful and everyone raved about how delicious it was!

I hired them for my pittsburgh cookie table and they did a great job. They delivered my cookies onetime and it was very fresh .

Grandview Bakery was incredible! We had a small cake with a 100 cupcake tier that arrived on time and beautifully. Everyone was commenting on the taste of our cupcakes and could't get enough. We used Grandview to make cupcakes and a cake for our wedding in September. We took a chance as it was an out of town wedding and we hadn't visited the bakery. Everything was amazing and we got MANY complements from everyone about the cake and cupcakes. There were no leftovers! A++ job, thank you!

This is the best kept secret for your wedding cake! My husband and I used Grandview Bakery for a four-tier burnt almond torte cake for our wedding a Heinz History Center. Our guests are still raving about how good the cake was! You will not be disappointed! We fell in love with the cake when we visited the bakery and tried their burnt almond cupcake. Also, working with Brandi, was easy!

We loved every aspect of our experience with Grandview Bakery! We were blown away at the cake tasting! They gave us bowls with the little cubes of the cake different flavors and icing choices so we could mix and match. They left us alone for us to do the tasting by ourselves so there was none of that awkwardness we had at other bakeries and we weren't rushed at all. Everything was SO good, but we eventually made our choice. Designing the cake was easy because they just had us send in pictures of some we liked and then she drew up an example. I told her what I did and didn't like about her example until we reached the perfect design! The night of our wedding, the cake tasted delicious and looked beautiful! So affordable for a 3 tiered wedding cake!

I wish you could upload pictures in reviews because my words will not do justice to the cake that Maureen and Grandview Bakery made for us. I had an incredibly specific request when meeting with Maureen. After our first dance, as we walked towards the cake table and I saw my dream cake, it took my breath away. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I did not want to cut into the masterpiece that she had made for us (until i remembered how good the red velvet cake was)! Not only did she take my idea and make a more spectacular version of it, but she drove the nearly 90lb cake (yes, 90lbs!) all the way to West Virginia, 2.5 hours from the bakery.
And since the wedding, I cannot tell you the amount of people that asked us about our cake and where we got it. Grandview Bakery will certainly be getting a lot more business in the coming months! AMAZING!
