Stephanie was a pleasure to meet with when my husband and I were initially looked for engagement rings! He raved about how wonderful and helpful she was when it came to choosing the diamond and purchasing the ring! The engagement ring was beautiful and a Tacori which isn't available many places on Long Island! We had such a great experience that we bought my wedding band there along with a Tacori bracelet for my wedding day! We will be back in the future for sure!

Not only delivered once but twice! I have already recommended them to multiple friends. My bridges engagement and wedding rings both turned out amazing. I was scared at first ordering a 10k ring from 6 states away through online, but it turned out amazing.

They have such a comprehensive workup of the diamonds they stock and are very accomodating in terms of settings and designs. They were great to work with and offer very nice stones are competitive prices. We're very happy to have learned about them and bought our jewlery there.

Inferior Wedding Band

Good Old Gold in Massapequa - Two Thumbs Down!

I have literally spent thousands of dollars at this store. Recently I paid over $2,000 to upgrade to a new wedding band. A stone fell out within the first 3 years I had it. My original wedding band bought elsewhere is 42 years old and never had a stone fall out.

I went in to Good Old Gold and they explained it was a design flaw. The gold wasn’t thick enough around the edge of the ring to protect the diamonds in the middle Right after they tell me that, they say, “that will be $60 to repair it” Ummm, what? I didn’t design the ring with the flaw your designer did!

I also explained I paid $35 for my original diamond band 42 years ago and not one single diamond has ever fallen out in 42 years. I also explained to them I’m not a factory worker abusing my hands 7 days a week mining for gold. I’m a grandma that the most exercise my hand gets is turning the storybook pages while I’m reading to my grandkids. Theres no reason a $2,200.00 ring should break at all, but especially so fast!

They insisted they will not cover the cost. I think this is horrible customer service selling me an inferior product and then refusing to fix the inferiority.

Beware! Good Old Gold in Massapequa does not support their products. I will not spend another penny there.

Service is good when you buy, but God help you if you try to use their much touted buy back policy. They will try to cheat you and not honor their commitment in every way they can. Blue Nile has much nicer diamonds at better prices. With Good Old Gold, you are paying more for the selling service and the buy back policy that isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
