Genie Leigh Photography was amazing! I was truly clueless with what to expect with wedding photographers, and Megan helped me every step of the way. I was planning my wedding from afar, and Megan was able to communicate with me and answer my countless questions via email, since using my phone is harder for me. She worked with my budget, and her pricing is extremely fair.


Megan was just getting over the flu the week of my wedding, so she brought along Genie to help her out on our wedding day. Both Megan and Genie were very professional, arrived on time, and were prepared with a lot of great ideas for shots. Both my husband and I are terrible at taking pictures, but Megan and Genie put us at ease and made us feel like less silly. Both Megan and Genie directed us how to pose (and reminded me to stand up straight!), which made everything go smoothly and quickly.

I’ve seen about a dozen pictures of the ones they took last weekend, and they’re beautiful. They appear to be expertly edited and curated. I’ve forwarded her blog post and Instagram posts to some of my friends and family, and they can’t stop talking about how great the photos are. I’m so excited to see the rest of them and work with Megan and Genie on getting print shots from them!

I’ve never left a review anywhere before, but I sincerely recommend Genie Leigh Photography to anyone who wants expert photographers who are very organized yet laid back. Also, as an aside, Megan was great with my 18 month flower girl, so I imagine she’d be great on a kid’s photo shoot.

We had such a great experience working with Megan. She is such a happy and energetic person and gets everybody excited for the next photo shot. I was over the moon happy about genie Leigh! Megan was so good to me, she was so kind and comforting in all the photo craziness. She was patient with me when I was dying to get to the reception and start my partying.

Megan and Genie were absolutely wonderful to work with. From ensuring that we had amazing engagement photos (Megan met us on the beach at 4:30am!) to spending an entire day with us fulfilling all our desired pictures on our wedding day (12pm-12am!), they left no stone unturned and far surpasses our expectations. They also spent a few hours with me to do my bridal portrait and the pictures were stunning. Truly, they know how to work a camera and on top of that, they're so incredibly easy to work with. They're extremely talented but they are also patient and thoughtful in everything they do which is so necessary to have around you on your wedding day. I never felt stressed or rushed when they were taking pictures. And after the wedding, the time they took to talk to me about portrait and picture selections was above and beyond and they were always timely with their responses. I'd highly recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future. We love them!!

I have been using Megan and her staff for all our photography needs...from engagement to the wedding and again when we have children, I will always use Genie Leigh. She is the best! Aside from the fact that she listens to what her client wants (Which is SO super important) she is a true artist and some of her best work comes from giving her creative liberty to catch a rare and random moment. My photos are what I have to remember the best day of my life and each shot is more beautiful than the one before it...It takes me back instantly to that moment when the picture was taken. My original photographer fell through for my wedding, and I am glad that she did because I was able to find and use Genie Leigh Photography for my wedding! It is a mom-daughter team, and they were really great. They went above an beyond what I expected - including checking out the location of our "first look" photos for the light the day before (it was on a dock). I just got my photos, and they were organized into the different shoots (posed, first look, ceremony, reception). They came out really nice. I highly recommend Genie Leigh for your wedding.
