I chose the Genesee Theatre for both my wedding ceremony and reception and am so glad I did. Gary and Maggie make wedding planning a dream and the space is just breathtaking. All my guests were blown away by the grand chandeliers and beauty of the space. A wedding to remember for all time!

Genesee Halloween Wedding

Last October we had the weeding of my dreams. An All Hallows Eve ceremony with all of our friends and Family in costume and Genesee couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful bringing my dream to life. Even our coordinator and the Genesee staff dressed up and celebrated with us. I know its not most Brides dream to have such a crazy concept but Genesee made it more then a dream come true for this Crazy Bride!

Could not imagine a more beautiful place to get married! Rena helped us through every aspect and the stage hands, ushers, every employee there made our wedding flow so well. It was amazing and they make everything so easy.

We could not have been happier with the service we received at The Genesee Theater! From the minute we signed the contract to the last dance...Rena and the entire staff were amazing and we can't thank them enough for making our day perfect and helping us have the best day of our lives! Everyone was so friendly and professional to my husband and I along with all of our guests. They made sure everything went smoothly we didn't have to worry about a thing!

The theater was the BEST!!! It helped my vision of a movie premiere themed wedding come to life. The staff was absolutely amazing.... Nicole, the event manager, was great and she dealt with all of my questions, concerns, and changes.... highly recommended!!!! The only reason I could not give all 5 stars was because there was a change in management during my planning, which caused some slow response issues, and last minute confusion about catering, but they did their best to make us happy, which they did!!!

Our experience with the Genesee was truly exceptional. When we first began planning with them there were a few issues with an employee that is no longer with them. Even though the issues were not earth-shattering from then on the Genesee's staff made it their personal mission to make our event the most incredible day of our lives. Not only was the venue perfect for us it felt like we really had a "team" feel between our families and the staff there. Jan, Gary and Maggie were so attentive (one of them even helped me find last minute care for our dog!) and supportive. I am still receiving compliments from our guests about how unique and fun our wedding was and I owe it to the Genesee's wonderful staff.

To start, this venue is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The theatre is so beautiful and full of charm. If you are looking to get married in a fantastically different space, this is it. The decor of the building decorates the space on its own. The guests raved about how it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The issue was the event coordinator. She did not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner during the planning process. The morning of the wedding, she was nowhere to be found which left the wedding party and the bride to scavenger throughout the building looking for items that should have been set up. She only became attentive once she was called numerous times by numerous people on two of her different phone lines. The catering company and the venue's beauty is what made this wedding so magical. The stage manager and other staff were also good at their jobs. If you have a strong support system to help out, definitely book this venue. But if you would like to depend on the event coordinator for much (or any) of your event, look elsewhere.
