I wanted my best fried to look as dapper as possible on his wedding day, and Andrew and Ann were amazing. They helped him choose some beautiful floral fabrics for our pocket squares and ties. The final product was really beautifully made with some incredible attention to detail. All the dudes looked great on his big day and it was really all because of the General Knot.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew when he came to Houston for a pop-up at a local coffee shop. I ended up purchasing a few of his ties as I liked the idea of adding handmade, unique ties to my collection. The quality of the fabric used as well as the patterns truly make General Knot special. When it came time to dressing me and my groomsmen for my wedding, I immediately thought of General Knot. I began the process with Ann, who was extremely responsive and didn’t mind sending a few pages of sample swatches not once, but twice. After I made my selection, it only took a few weeks for the ties to be made and when they arrived they were in beautiful packaging and I was extremely happy with how they turned out. This truly was a special, one of a kind gift for my groomsmen and something they will get wear out of again. We received tons of compliments. I highly recommend General Knot, thank you for making our day even more special.

I can't emphasize enough what an important role General Knot played in our weekend-long camp wedding. First off, for guys, there's not a lot to get too excited about when it comes to wedding outfits. General Knot changes that. Want to get a ton of compliments on your outfit? Wear a General Knot tie. It works. Second, tie + whiskey = groomsmen gift. Done. Third, and perhaps most importantly, custom ties are a great way to round out your wedding theme. Normally you bring in color with bridesmaids' dresses and flowers. Picking ties (color AND pattern) forces you to focus on theme, and then that carries over to all other elements in your wedding planning. We got ties for the groomsmen (12 guys), pocket squares, bowties for all the kids, and a bandana for our dog. That's a lot of fabric. Going through our pictures, that added element (which seems to pop up everywhere) really ties the room together, as they say... It's subtle, but if you took that out of our wedding, I think it would have thrown everything off. Seriously, well worth it.
Not to mention the fact that General Knot was soooooo easy and fun to work with. We loved getting our fabric samples in the mail and agonizing over which ones to pick. (Yes, the only bad part was that Ann was TOO good at picking fabric samples.) The quality of their ties is exceptional (I have many...), and the packaging makes it feel like you're opening the best birthday present ever. (All your groomsmen will feel that way too -- they really do a good job boxing each item up individually.)
Obviously, I'm a fan. I think that in addition to the bride's "say yes to the dress" moment, every groom should have his "say yes to the custom tie" moment. Do it. The groom will be happier and the wedding will look better. You'll thank me later.

Where to begin? Ann and Andrew of General Knot Co. are fabulous. From start to finish I couldn't be happier! I initially reached out to GK because my husband loved their ties, when I saw they did custom for weddings I was sold! I immediently reached out and with a prompt response from Ann we started the design process. We went back and forth on colors and prints, then they sent swatches, YES ACTUALLY MAILED FABRIC SWATCHES! and not one or two! They mailed MULTIPLE sheets of the fabrics. It was wonderful seeing the material and fabric and the colors in person before starting this. We were doing custom ties for all the groomsmen, dads and bowties for the ring bearer and our dog, the ring barker :) (yes my dog wore a floral bowtie and ROCKED IT!) Ann was in constant contact throughout the process! She was an absolute delight! When the ties were back she let me know they were going to be packaged and shipped . When they arrived (about 10 weeks after we started, which was typical for custom per the website) they showed up perfectly packaged and ready to get to the guys and they were AMAZING! The fabric is wonderful and durable, like all of his other ties he has ordered from them. The fabrics they use are great in color, selection and quality. All of the guys LOVED their ties and ive even seen some wearing them since yay!!! were a GK customers for life and so appreciate all of Ann and Andrews helps in customizing our special day!

I would highly recommend using General Knot!! My husband had been following General Knot on Instagram for a few years and always said how he loves their neckwear! I actually bought him a few ties as gifts before we were engaged but once he popped the question and we started planning, we knew they would be the perfect fit for our bridal party! Ann was amazing and after giving her my color pallet she sent me a few pages of swatches of potential fabrics we could use. The swatches came right away and after choosing, the process had begun! They came beautifully wrapped and I can't tell you how many compliments were received at our wedding. The were the perfect unique accent to our wedding and my husband and I couldn't be happier! Thank you so much again General Knot!

General Knot & Co not only makes incredibly fine ties, pocket squares and other accessories but their customer service is truly exemplary. You should not hesitate to reach out to General Knot & Co to create one-of-a-kind pieces for your special day.
My fiancee had gifted me a General Knot & Co tie/pocket square combo for my birthday a few years ago and I immediately fell in love with the company and the fabrics they use. When it was time to figure out my outfit for our wedding, I was overjoyed to discover they have a custom department. At first, I didn't think it was going to work out as they have a minimum you need to meet and our wedding didn't feature groomsmen, etc. but Ann @ General Knot quickly suggested an arrangement so we could move forward. It was such a huge plus to have a vendor willing to work with you to make your dream a reality and not just give you an easy, flat "no."
My fiancee and I flipped the script on traditional wedding attire as all our guests wore white and we wore color. I sent swatches of my outfit and pantones of the colors in her dress (i didn't see the dress until our wedding day of course!) to Ann and a couple of weeks later she sent me six pages of fabric swatches to choose from. ALL the swatches she sent were gorgeous and each would have been perfect. Which was the only negative of the experience: choosing just one! In my case, I couldn't so I had two sets of necktie/bow tie/pocket squares made. And all the pieces fit into my regular wardrobe so I could wear them on any day, not just my wedding day - another huge plus. The six pieces took about ten days to produce.
Everything was beautifully packaged and delivered on-time. Ann communicated every step of the process and ensured that no detail was left unconsidered.
Of all the vendors my fiancee and I used, General Knot & Co was totally stress-free and absolutely the best. I cannot recommend them highly enough to make your special day even more special!

I have been following General Knot for years. After meeting the owners at American Field in Boston I knew I wanted them to make custom ties for my wedding. This was the one thing that I would not compromise on and was the perfect touch to our day. They listened to details about our wedding and our relationship and translated that into vintage fabrics! They took my groomsmen and grooms-ladies outfits to the next level. Worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and go with General Knot!

This company was the perfect fit for what I was looking for. My wife and I collaborated on color choices and when we wanted more options, GK&C sent more swatches in a quick manner so that we could make out ultimate decision. The result was an amazing tie that I gifted to my groomsmen. They inform me that they still receive compliments on them whenever they wear them. The quality is on point, the customer service is quick and accommodating, and the end product is an example of true craftsmanship. I would recommend this company to any groom looking for a more unique option that you can truly customize.

General Knot dialed in the look for our groomsmen and groom attire. Custom threads, color swatches, various patterns including the option of necktie and/or bowtie both with alternate backing. The process was simple and offered variety to match with the bridesmaids' look and the overall feel we were trying to achieve. Well worth the dollar for custom made, quality neck-wear, and enjoyable to work with throughout.
