If you want your tux fitting experience to be easy and painless go to the Elephant's Trunk. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend using them for any formal event.

Let me start off my saying that The Elephant's Trunk was one of our favorite vendors. After going to two other tuxedo rental places and striking out we stumbled upon The Elephant's Trunk and they did not disappoint. Our first time there we were greeted by Robert who was great. He has been doing this for years and you can tell. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell he truly cares about all of his clients and making sure they look and feel their best for their big day. He helped my husband and our wedding party of 11 pick out the most classy tux's and even did any last minute alterations that were needed the week of. We also got to work with Vondell who was there on most weekends and he was just as great. He was good to my nephew and even my dad and two groomsman that live out of state. They give you a website to track all of rentals and to see who still needs measuring and it was just so easy. I recommend them to anyone looking for a tuxedo rental company for their event.

I was very impressed with my experience with Elephant's Trunk for dress alterations and tux rentals. I initially went to have my dress altered which I bought at a store that did not do alterations themselves. I had a great experience - I was fortunate enough that I only need to visit twice to have my alterations done but when I first made my appointment, they were incredibly knowledgable about when to make my appointments with respect to my wedding date. While there, I inquired about their tux rentals and was surprised by how reasonable their prices were! We rented several tuxes and the service was great. My dad's tux didn't end up fitting properly and they were very helpful in fixing the situation well before my wedding day!

I saved the best for last when I decided to go to Elephant's Trunk. I was able to find an elegant gown that very much fit my personality. As a working "mother of the bride", I was impressed by their appointment process, text reminders, excellent alterations, and genuine desire to please me. Tops in customer service and relations!

great selection of dresses and wonderful help

For mothers of the bride:
I live in Connecticut but went to Elephant's Trunk because it was recommended by a friend and I could not find a mother of the bride dress I wanted to buy in my area or in the department stores in New York City.
I cannot say enough nice things about my experience. Elephant's Trunk had the best selection of any specialty store of its kind I had been to. I worked with Susan who was lovely, low key, no pressure but extremely knowledgeable. She selected a style for me to try and it turned out to look the better than the 10 or so dresses I had selected myself. I ended up coming back for the Ania Zofia trunk show when I spent several more hours (with both my daughters with me as well) while the designer of the dress, Ania Zofia, helped me customize the color, details, etc. with Susan guiding the process. The other sales staff members, as well as the owner were also friendly and helpful. I wish I had known about Elephant's Trunk before spending so much time unsuccessfully shopping (and sometimes feeling intimidated) at other places. It is definitely work the trip!

After having a bad experience at the big chain menswear rental place, we stopped by Elephant's Trunk after finding them on WeddingWire. The care that Rob and Tatiana put into helping us select tuxedos that both looked and fit great was wonderful. My husband had at least 3 different groom's fittings to make sure he had the perfect size jacket, and they even altered his on the spot when we went to pick it up because it was a little large. One of the groomsmen's pants were way too long, but a quick trip into the shop just before the rehearsal resolved that problem. Since most of the wedding party was from out of town, we had a little trouble with the preferred method of communicating the measurements from other shops (one person told us to call, then we were told they should email, etc.), but in the end, everyone had a tux that fit and it worked out fine.
