Gene is such a great person to work with! If you’re looking for a photographer, he’s your guy! Every interaction we’ve had with him, whether it be through email, zoom calls, or in person, was AMAZING. His energy, joy, and passion for photography is something that really makes him one of a kind. You can tell that he truly cares for his couples and wants to make every session the best it could be!

Gene photographed both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Prior to our engagement shoot, we met with Gene and he was able answer our millions of questions and put our minds at ease. Both my husband and I are somewhat shy and not really great in front of the camera, but Gene made us feel so comfortable from the moment we first met him! He gave us little prompts and had us do little activities which made the shoot feel SO NATURAL. I always get really nervous when I see candids of myself, but the way Gene captures photos made me feel so beautiful :’)

During our actual wedding, Gene also brought on Chad and Braxton to help with photo and video. They were all so great and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to capture our special day. They made our entire wedding party feel so comfortable and brought so much great energy to the group! In addition, Gene was so great when it came to taking full family photos. We have quite a large family and I was so scared that it would take a while to wrangle everyone and get everyone where they needed to be, but Gene helped direct the photoshoot and made everything efficient!

Gene and his team are truly one of a kind. I hope we get to work with them again!

Gene and his team are incredible! I work in photography so selecting a photographer was very important to me. But my husband is shy and stoic so I knew we needed someone creative for me but also someone warm who could my husband feel comfortable. Gene was exactly who we needed. His photos were incredible and he was so loving and caring. You can tell he absolutely loves what he does and truly wants to create beautiful, genuine photos for each couple. I showed my fellow art director and photographer friends my photos and even they were blown away.

Before the wedding, Gene was responsive and accommodating. On the big day, he was professional, pleasant and fun with our guests, and worked so hard to capture every moment while being completely unobtrusive to the day. Gene is truly an artist and his photos are my favorite part of the day. We love Gene and and cannot recommend him enough!

Gene did a great job with us. Both my wife and I really enjoyed having him be a part of our wedding day. From the first call through the final stages of the wedding he was always quick to respond and follow up with ideas and even asked the right question.

He was flexible and did travel some for us. On the wedding day he looked professional (wore a suit and tie). He has a very laid back style which fit us very well - he always asked us what we wanted to see instead of telling us. He has the right equipment to get the job done, his wife also accompanied him as a second photographer allowing for the two of them to capture even more images.

I have had an amazing experience so far with Gene Yoon photography! Gene has an amazing photo-journalistic style. In our contract he has agreed to work with us from the beginning of the wedding until we tell him that we are done. When I was talking with him about the timeline he just looked at me, and said "don't worry about it, it's your day and I'm there from whatever time you tell me to be there and until you tell me to leave." It was so reassuring to hear this! I will be sure to review after the wedding, but forsee everything to go smoothly as he is energetic, easy going, and a pleasure to work with.

Gene has been great to work with, thus far! Very personable, organized, and reasonably priced. Our wedding isn't for a couple more months, but based on the work we've seen on his website and the over-the-phone/email interactions we've had with him, we're really glad he'll be the one capturing those special moments during our big day!

We hired Gene for our wedding in July of 2016 and he was one of our favorite vendors (and we worked with some GREAT people)! We were worried about choosing a photographer seeing as we were planning the wedding from afar. There was a certain style that we specifically did not want and Gene was one of only two photographers that we found who met our criteria and budget. We were a little worried leading up to the actual wedding because we had never met in person, only emailed. The day of the wedding, Gene showed up at our B&B to take photos and I knew in an instant that we were gong to hit it off. He is very relaxed yet gets excited about all the great details in your wedding. He was just a joy to work with during the wedding. My husband and I both felt very comfortable working with Gene, like we had known him forever. We loved chatting and laughing with him through the entire process. Our photos came about a month after our wedding, maybe a little later and oh my goodness- they were worth the wait! They were packaged beautifully and we just loved the moments that he captured! They are all certainly works of art and we can't wait to put together a proper album to enjoy for the rest of our lives!
