About

Location
Garden Gate at Haley Farm is located in Sebago, Maine, a quiet town on the western shore of Sebago Lake. We are located 35 minutes from Windham, Maine, 45 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire and the White Mountains, and 50 minutes from Portland. The Sebago Lake Region is one of the best spots in Maine for vacation, providing numerous rental cottages, B & B's, and campgrounds. Windham, North Conway, and the Portland area provide major hotel accommodations.

The Barn
The c. 1817 Maine wedding barn has been fully restored with new floors, roof, and lighting. Inside the 42 x 60' barn you will find an open floor plan that can accommodate up to 150 seated guests as well as a built-in bar. The barn has heat and fans.

The Deck
Off the back of the barn is a 42 x 12' deck, two stories above the ground overlooking the forrest. It is the perfect spot for an outdoor bar to start your cocktail hour.

The Lawn
Next to the barn is a 40 x 60' lawn ideal for a tented reception or a lounge area during your cocktail hour as well as a spot to set up lawn games.

Ceremony Site
Tucked behind the barn is the wooded ceremony site with benches and birch arbor. It is a truly beautiful spot to be surrounded by the forrest as family and friends witness your marriage.

The Farmhouse
The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 guests and includes a full kitchen, dining room, two living rooms, a sitting room, four bedrooms, a 1/2 bath downstairs and full bath upstairs. Depending on the wedding package you select, the farmhouse is your home away from home for up to two nights during your wedding weekend. The farmhouse has air conditioning and heat.

The Wedding Suite
The a spacious room located on the second floor with a full bathroom, sitting area, tables, and chairs. The perfect spot for hair and make-up on your wedding date.

Parking
We have space for up to 75 cards in our parking lot, which is a lovely two minute walk through the forest, past our flower field to the farmhouse and barn.

unforgettable venue and outstanding hosts!

this place is pure magic. I feel truly lucky to have been able to spend the most wonderful day of my life on this beautiful property, and I’ll never forget watching the hummingbirds whizz around the flower garden during our wedding portraits. thank you Sarah for being the most incredible host we could have ever possibly asked for and for making this place so unbelievably special, it is one of a kind ❤️

Magical Wedding Venue

I cannot begin to describe how perfect this venue was and how magical our wedding was on 8/27/2022. I was beyond impressed with the farmhouse, barn, yard, and ceremony site. Sarah and Rich have done a wonderful job maintaining and renovating their property. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our photographer to get those "rustic" farmhouse vibes toward the end of summer. The venue itself was very reasonably priced and you get the venue for the entire weekend, there is also the option for accommodations in the farmhouse. The getting-ready suite in the farmhouse was bright and light. Plenty of outlets and amenities for the party. Sarah also served as our day of coordinator and she helped with vendor coordination, logistics and design planning. It was so nice to have her there, and it look a lot of stress off us during the days leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding. She coordinating everything and it was so seamless. Some highlights we loved were the farmhouse tables and chairs, the birch archway at the ceremony site, and the chickens. Our guests cannot stop talking about how much fun they had and how beautiful the venue was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thanks Sarah and Rich!

Amazing experience!

We worked with Sarah for our October 2021 wedding and still (almost a year later) can't stop talking about how perfect our experience was. We rented out the barn and farmhouse for the whole weekend so that our entire wedding party could stay with us. Sarah was unbelievably helpful and accommodating from the very beginning of our planning process through to the last moment of clean up. She even helped us cut the cake when we realized how difficult it was! At the end of the night she offered to help guests back to their cars - absolutely above and beyond! She also offers to make hand drawn signs. She made our timeline and other assorted signs and they all came out beautifully. The grounds were immaculate - you can tell her and her family take great pride in both their home and the beautiful venue. The grounds were spacious enough for our multiple food trucks while still allowing plenty of room for our guests to enjoy the scenery. The barn (which is stunning!) was spacious enough to accommodate both a sizable dance floor as well as tables for about 100 guests. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and unique the barn and ceremony site are! We are forever grateful to Garden Gate for hosting the wedding of our dreams!

Beautiful, quaint venue owned by the most incredible people!

The Garden Gate at Haley Farm is the cutest venue with all the rustic charm you're looking for! And Sarah has been such a pleasure to work with through all of it! She is the most genuine and sweetest person and the venue is absolutely everything we wanted. Our wedding was supposed to be August 2020 but had to be postponed due to covid. Sarah was so incredibly understanding and flexible with us in a very hard situation. We were able to get everything we originally wanted and even for the same date in 2021. We were determined to still get married in 2020, and were searching for somewhere where we could have our immediate family members, and Sarah delivered!! She so generously let us use her property for a small, quick ceremony on the original date of our wedding. And I am so incredibly thankful for that, as we were able to get some great pictures, and share our very special day with my grandparents who are no longer with us.

Fortunately, we were able to have our big day this past August, 2021, and since our first initial visit looking at venues, so much had been worked on. A bridal suite was added, along with bathrooms in the barn, and Sarah and her husband work so hard making the property so beautiful! It was truly the venue of our dreams! Sarah has gone so out of her way for us and truly makes us feel like we're her only couple! Thank you so so much for everything!

The Perfect Venue

We had such a wonderful wedding weekend at Garden Gate! Sarah and Rich are so kind and helpful and have done such a great job creating a beautiful barn and gardens. The setting is romantic and rustic with so many flowers in the garden, we like that it was not overly "country" feeling like some venues we had toured. The farmhouse is also beautifully decorated and it was so nice to be able to stay there with our wedding party after the reception. When we chose our venue, we loved that Garden Gate included a lot of items we would need to bring in at other venues (chairs, tables, decor items, bathrooms, etc) were all included which made the weekend logistics much simpler to execute.

The Perfect venue

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It is unbelievably beautiful, the owners are so kind, organized, and helpful - it was the perfect place to have our wedding. We rented it out for the weekend so our wedding party could stay on site with us, and they were able to help us accommodate our large party of 21 people. Our guests could not stop raving about the natural beauty of the venue, and neither can we. Highly, highly recommend.

Top of the List

We have had so much fun exploring the gorgeous wedding barns available in our area. Each venue offers unique charm and interesting extras, but Garden Gate at Haley Farm stands out. Sarah and Rich have something special out in Sebago.

The most welcoming, gorgeous venue you could find.

Honestly, this venue was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. Sarah and Richard are so helpful and flexible, and the space honestly feels more like getting married in an extended family member's home than it does a "wedding venue." It is kid and dog friendly, decoratively flexible, and jaw-drop gorgeous in the fall. The barn is spacious and the chairs and tables provided by the venue were perfect, and Sarah was so wonderful in interfacing with all of our vendors throughout the weekend so we didn't have to. Also, hit Sarah up for day-of coordination or calligraphy - she's multi-talented!

This was our perfect Venue. Sarah and her husband her so caring and flexible. They made us feel so comfortable. The venue is beautiful and has so much history. We were so lucky to get married at Garden Gate during peak foliage!
